The Big Book will not advertise the free figure with purchase. It's part of their strategy to avoid customers being disappointed when "free" items are sold out. The "free with purchase" items will only be advertised in the store. Will provide more info as it becomes available.

I buy 2 of every big book fig. One loose, one MOC. I'll get my MOC one when the promo starts. And don't bank on your TRU getting anything you are gonna want to buy to get him for free.

It says it is free in the big book for the run of the special promotion (usually 2 or 3 weeks) but it is also printed in the Big Book with a "while supplies last" asterisk next to it.

While that works for intelligent people like you and me, some people are still upset when they come in on the last day of the sale and they're sold out. Sometimes to the point that they don't buy what they intended on. So TRU will limit advertising of all the GWP (gift with purchase) items this year. Signage will be posted in stores only, and will be removed as soon as free item sells out.

I figured the Brock won't be free this year since there wasn't a street date on the Brocks.

interesting they aren't advertising it this year in the big book. I figured the Brock won't be free this year since there wasn't a street date on the Brocks. I don't think there was a street date on any of the past ones. My TRU is a stickler for the rules of following Street dates and every figure in the past was put out in Oct. And the year of the Rock figure they had 18 cases of him up on the overstock and he was sold out before the big book promotion even started.

Why are so many people buying the 21-1 Brock, when he'll be free in a couple of months through the big book deal? Just wanted to know how everyone felt about it and why. Thanks For me personally, it was 4 reasons lol I'd rather pay like the 18.99 now then spend 30+ later I rarely go to TRU My local TRU sucks 90% of the time, all i've bought there is E24 Barrett and the 21-1 Lesnar...30 dollars would be surprisingly hard to spend at mine I've wanted it since I saw it was coming out

Last year (Triple H) and the year before (20-0 Taker) my TRU didn't have anything else I wanted so I ended up buying two each of the promo figures and getting a third free.

I'm only mildly interested in the figure, but will pick it up if they have $30 worth of figures I want. Since they will likely still have the BoPPV Del Rio and Orton then, that will work out nicely.

As long as you have your receipts and it is within 60 days of the promotion you can do an adjustment where you return everything and rebuy it during the promotion. As long as the items equal $30 before tax you can get Brock for free. The only problem with that is they now take your I.D information and limit the amount of returns you can make in one year, even with a valid receipt.

Doesn't matter you aren't returning anything you are rebuying them all on one receipt to to qualify for the promotion. I've done it many times when I have purchased figures only to see a week or two later they have a promotion/sale on the items I had purchased. They have never once asked for ID or had a problem with it. And if during the promotion they have $30 worth of figures I want I will go to customer services with my receipt for Brock and ask them adjust it. If they don't have anyone I want during the promotion then I won't worry about it.

It's not a big deal but it makes you think twice on purchasing something you might find cheaper later on.
