You guys are over thinking it. Supposively it wasn't televised. Bryan was probably in the area doing promotional work and was sent out to hype up the crowd by getting them to do the YES chant prior to the show.

Sucks if true, which from all the previous clues it likely is, but I'm still hoping its some misdirection on the part of the WWE.

I don't care when he comes back as long as he doesn't win the Rumble.

I'm a massive fan of Daniel Bryan so naturally I would love to see him come back as a wrestler. But after the last few years of his career, I would be OK if he decided to not risk his health by entering the ring any more.

I honestly hope he dosent show up as a suprise at the rumble, since if he dosent win, the fans will just crap on anyone else that does. I think that the fans will crap on whoever wins, except for maybe Ambrose, regardless of whether or not Daniel Bryan is a surprise entrant. Someone mentioned a few posts prior that Bryan may have had the surgery already and is close to returning. I think that's entirely possible since the Tommy John surgery was brought up months ago. Over on Reddit, someone said that Bryan was at NXT recently with small bandages on his elbow, yet in his Instagram posts, there aren't any. As we get closer to the Royal Rumble, fans will become more attached to the idea of Bryan returning at the event. If there aren't any reports about Bryan in January, it'll be seen as WWE trying to keep quiet. If there's reports that Bryan is still injured, it'll be seen as a way to create the impression that he won't be at the Rumble. No matter what, I think we're in for a repeat of this past year's Royal Rumble. "Daniel Bryan!" chants throughout the whole match, and an absolute sh*t storm if Bryan is either in it and loses, or not in it all.

Let him say something like 'I had to have another surgery, so I can't be back unt (insert PPV after rumble) Fans won't expect him, and won't crap on everyone else.

Bryan winning would be boring. By all means I hope he has a big match at Wrestlemania, but not for the title, we've already seen that.

People want Daniel Bryan to win the championship at WrestleMania so that he can have the reign that he wasn't allowed to have this year.

I think there's a good chance the fans crap on Reigns either way... not if they use him right, ya know, not let him always win, don't be a 'superman', don't get into the main event right away etc. Yeah, because it's not like they were doing that at all before he was injured... If they really want to build Reigns right, he should NOT win the Rumble by any means this year - and he sure as hell shouldn't defeat Lesnar. People want Bryan to win because he still hasn't gotten the reign he deserves. And how is it exactly a repeat of last year? Because he has to overcome the odds again, like most underdogs do? Winning the Rumble and facing Brock Lesnar in a David vs. Goliath match is pretty far from having to win two matches in one night, and only getting that chance because the fans revolted and one of the top stars walked out.

It's looking more and more like Edge 2.0. A real shame

I'm really hoping this is a red herring, put out by WWE in order to make it super-surprising when he returns at the Royal Rumble (& hopefully wins) It seems like such a strange "announcement" to make, in such a strange way - I think they are just trying to spread the rumors.... I have great seats for the Rumble - so I'm hoping for an epic moment that a Daniel Bryan "surprise return" would provide.... About a week-and-a-half ago - Brie told someone that Daniel Bryan was ready for the Royal Rumble - then, that report quickly disappeared... Man I was thinking the same thing. Except I think he'd be a surprise member of team cena at Survivor Series. Think about it, who on the roster would wanna join Cena? He doesn't have a lot of buddies storyline wise. It books itself. But at the same time Orton looks like will be joining Cena at Survivor Series. Who knows? But I will reserve judgment until either SS or RR. What better way to get Bryan back on top than to keep telling his fans he'll be out of action for even longer only for him to show up unannounced at one of the big four PPVs?

HBK vs UT back to back, HHH vs UT back to back, Rock vs Cena back to back. I'm sure a lot of ppl won't mind DB main eventing again.

I'm thinking that it's possible that Batista will be a member of "Team Cena" for Survivor Series - he didn't part ways with The Authority on exactly good terms.... and I believe that might get Batista the babyface reaction they've been trying to get for quite a while?
