I said this the day Toy Story 3 was announced. They are going to start pumping these movies out & kill the aura of this franchise. They can make the claim that this is for a new generation, but that's crap. It's all about the money. I loved the first two, but will not be watching this. There's only so much more they can do before Don Rickles and Estelle Harris are gone, they're both in their late 80s and this film still isn't coming out for 3 years. I can almost guarantee that they won't do more after this one. I have a feeling that the aging voice actors are exactly why they've moved forward with it so soon.

It seems Toy Story 4 is like a reboot of sorts but also in a sense a sequel to 3 because the girl who has Andy's toys you can continue the franchise with her

I'll see it but I don't think there needs to be a 4th.

I'm in the same boat as most people are about this. I'd really rather them not, because Toy Story will always hold a special place in my mind as my absolute favorite movie as a child, and Toy Story 3 was just the perfect ending to that, as I was one of the kids who grew up like Andy did and to see the toys have their ending like that, it just hit me.
With all that said, I will absolutely see it and most other Pixar films aside from the Cars/vehicles franchise.

Cars 2 is the worst Pixar film ever made. I really liked Cars as a kid, but Cars 2 was just...horrible! It was the equivalent of giving Patrick from Spongebob his own movie!

I really liked Cars.
Cars 2 was a coat hanger abortion of a film.

I really liked Cars. Cars 2 was a coat hanger abortion of a film. I've always hated Cars, as in the automobile. So I basically disliked Cars 1 before I saw it. But when I saw it I was pleasantly surprised, I didn't see it until a few years after it was released so I was pleased that Pixar had their perfect track record back. Then they release Cars 2...

Well I loved Toy Story 1, and absolutely loved Toy Story 2 (my personal favourite of the 3), but didn't think much to Toy Story 3. I hope Toy Story 4 features Zurg.
On the subject of Cars, Cars 1 was absolutely amazing - on the level of Toy Story in my opinion. Cars 2 however, just went in entirely the wrong direction for a childrens film. It was far too dark for a childrens film.

The Incredibles has been my favorite since I first saw it in theaters in 2004.
Here's everything wrong with Cars 2
:
It was worse than I originally thought.

Everything wrong with Cars 2 takes place between the opening credits and the ending credits.

Wait, Toy Story made less money than Cars AND Cars 2? This has to be from price inflation.. I remember the first Toy Story being a smash hit when it came out.

I read the thread title as "Toy Story 4 Confirmed Dead". I didn't think Cars 2 was THAT bad. I enjoyed it loads more than Brave anyway.

Toy Story 1 made just over 12 times its budget back. Cars made about 3 times its budget back.

From everything I've heard and read, it was indeed terrible.
