You can't say don't complain about something because what you're getting now is better than anything before. Thats not the point. With constructive criticism you actually improve products. The goal is to get as accurate/high quality products as perfect as possible. Its a working process. If you don't voice certain things that are not being taken care of then you lose your right as a consumer to let the brand know what works, what doesn't etc. These days the paint jobs is lacking. There's botches and chips on the figures right out the box. Thats inexcusable and Mattel needs to know about that so it doesn't happen again. True.. and I guess the other option is to just not buy them at all, right.

Just for reference, how much did Jakks equivalent to an Elite figure cost? It's been almost 5 years so I can't be sure, but I believe that at their most expensive, JAKKS DA figures never got more than 11.99 and RA figures were like 8.99 - 9.99. Mattel Elites started at $14.99 and are up to 18.99 - 21.99 in most places. It's getting out of control. But if we are getting better quality figures at 18.99 as compared to Jakks DA figures at 11.99, doesnt that balance out? When I was in art school a teacher once told "cheap art isn't good, and good art isn't cheap". Jakks figures were less expensive, but the quality was not good now was it? Mattel is higher quality, therefore demand a slightly higher price.

I do not complain to Mattel. I also think they are the best company of wrestling figures. There are only three things that bother me in the Mattel: the arms (the wrestlers seem weaker), the texture (Mattel are rough, Jakks are smooth) and the diversity. In Jakks, we have some figures like Abdullah the Butcher, Mattel doesn't have a collection like that, just some figures that are only made in Elite collection.

You are tottally correct with mattel being by far the best wrestling figures ever created. You are also correct that some peoples complaining and nitpicking can be wince inducing at times. But to be fair, this is a discussion board, and everyone has their own opinion. I may say, "I wish lex Luger was in his total package gear, or " that rsc exclusive edge is in the most boring attire possible for him". Not nessacarily complaining, but bsing about the figures that you spend thousands on. I Am a huge supporter of mattel, and the constant complaints bother me as well, but at the same time it can't be a love fest all of the time

Remember when Mattel made Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Hornswoggle in a two pack? If it was Jakks they would have been the same height.

My only complaint is how damn weak these Mattels are. They fall apart like its nobodies business. I never had Jakks figures rattle or break before and I used to beat the crapp outta them. Now I hardly play with my figs and they get so beat up so quickly. My E29 Goldust has a in rattle already ... How is that even possible?!

I barely played with some Elites and the paint chipped easy.

He's got two BCA's and a DA Cena though who have been through some tough times and still remain intact.

That goes for any toy. My history of broken wrestling figures: WWF Hasbro: Green M$M leg broke Bushwacker Luke leg broke WWF Jakks BCA Austin leg broke WCW spam Giant arm broke Raven arm broke WWF Jakks TTL Billy Gunn leg broke ECW OSFT New Jack leg broke Shane Douglas head fell off TNA spam Abyss leg fell off WWE Jakks RA Jake the Snake arm fell off Test hand fell off WWE Jakks DA Tazz arm fell off WWE Mattel Elite E26 Warrior legs wont bend E6 Punk leg fell off Elite Ted Dibiase jr ankle/foot fell off It is what it is. Most figures broke straight out of the box, some with minor play.

I think people have the right to complain - or suggest. Mattel can always improve and it seems like they are open to constructive criticism/input. But think some ppl go too far, get too picky - are you really that worried that some of batista's back tattoo smudged a bit? Or Randy Ortons head scan isn't perfect, it still looks like Randy Orton!!!
