I wouldn't bet against him that's for sure.
I think he'll be a top guy but I don't see him or want him to be the unbeatable guy. I want to see him as a top guy that gets knocked down but keeps coming anyways. Too crazy to stop, too dumb to know better.
Ambrose is a perfect example of what I was saying yesterday. There is nothing wrong with WWE taking their time to build up a new top star. It doesn't have to happen overnight. I would rather see someone work their way up over a couple of years, than to see them given the title after a few months.

Bigger swerve than the WM 17 Austin turn.

Can he be THE top guy in the company? No. Can he be A top guy in the company? Yes. Not alone but as part of a crop of top tier main event players, he can for sure. Agree with this Believe eventually he will be the or a top heel in the company.

He will fall into the Ziggler, Sheamus , Miz, Carlito, Benjamin , Mcintyre etc category of guys who we thought would and should be main event players. And ended up falling back to perminant mid card.

Maybe it's just me, but I only saw main event potential in like two of those guys. Sheamus and maybe McIntyre/Ziggler.

They all at least had a "buzz" at one point in their careers that made me feel that way. When Benjamin beat HHH that was huge. Carlito beat Cena for a title in his debut. Miz was being "groomed as the next face of the company" back when he had MITB case/WWE Title I sadly haven't even felt that kind of "buzz" for ambrose yet. Even though im a huge fan.

They all definitely had some big moments, but I'm with Kev, only two of em had that big time potential. Ambrose I think will really get going when he turns heel. He is such a damn good villain.

I just tend to think he's going to have to be like Punk and create his moment. I'm not sure WWE is going to give Ambrose his moment until he just takes it, assuming he can find a way. I definitely don't think he's "the face" of the company material. That's not any kind of knock against his skills but more of an observation on how WWE handles the wrestlers that represent them away from the ring.
I'm also standing by to see how he handles his receding hairline haha.

I never saw anything in Dean Ambrose. And I am not saying this to be a 'troll' or anything, I just never thought he was good.
I said when The Shield broke up, that Dean would feud with Seth Rollins, and then a feud with Bray Wyatt would happen after that (which is happening now) and then what?? Maybe a feud with The Miz after Bray, since Miz was in movies and Ambrose just did a movie. I honestly could see that being the next thing after the Wyatt feud.
But I don't ever see him being WWE Champion, not when there is Brock, Cena, Orton, Rusev, Reigns and Rollins there.

He can be a TOP guy but not THE top guy. If anything I see Finn Balor being THE top guy.

He can be anything he wants if he's got a nice car.
But yeah he probably could, he's great in all aspects and certainly over.

I think he can be the next "kinda" guy, like a Jericho, or even what Bryan was poised to be/kinda was, but I don't see him being able to hit a Rock/Hogan/Cena level. I think hes totally awesome, though.
