So we have the Marvel Universe thread but nothing for general Netflix or Hulu. Figure maybe we could use this as a "What's on/Coming to/Leaving/Good/Bad" type thread for Netflix/Hulu? Especially with a ton of classic...everything back logged on there. And since so many people have these services thanks to the hundreds of streaming options out there nowadays...
So...yeah...have at it.

Yeah I don't know much about Chromecast but I can speak for Netflix being arguably the best bargain on the Internet if you're big into TV or movies like most people.

Yeah I don't know much about Chromecast but I can speak for Netflix being arguably the best bargain on the Internet if you're big into TV or movies like most people. Chromecast is just a device made through Google that allows you to stream anything from Google Chrome.. Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc.. It's not as great as Netflix on XBOX or Roku.. But it works just fine. You plug it into your HDMI outlet on your TV, install an app on your computer, and you're ready to roll. Anyone that is fed up with their cable company should seriously consider Netflix.. Cable companies have lost SO SO much business to Netflix and instant streaming. It's actually why they keep trying to regulate net neutrality through congress.. Honest to God, at first I got rid of my cable provider because I couldn't afford it.. But over the course of this year my curiosity peaked and I started really digging after information.. Time Warner Cable and especially Comcast are 100% the most corrupt corporations in America.. And even now that I can afford cable, I refuse to give them a dime. I love sticking it to the man....through Netflix!

My roommate has the Netflix account & I have the WWE network, so we just use each others accounts on our PS3s. He just got a new credit card & Netflix has his account on hold until he updates it. He needs to do that ASAP so I can watch the newest season of SOA that just got added!

Great threat idea. I didn't have cable and just used Netflix, Hulu and WWE Network.
I use Netflix for movies and to binge watch series. I use Hulu for currently airing shows. I use WWE Network for wrestling.
Needless to say, I use the WWE Network the most.

I'm switching over to the U.S. Netflix through my Wii in the New Year. The one we have in Ireland is sh*t. Stuff comes off of it at an unbelievable rate.
My friends all have the U.S. version and they say its like night & day......so yeah....that's where I'm bound for.

Can't speak to your selection over there, but if you check out Instant Watcher for the US you can see what we have here.

I don't have cable anymore either. Just internet. Netflix and WWE Network is all I need. I've got about a billion things on my Netflix watch list that I need to go through when I have some free time. I remember a time where the Canadian Netflix was grossly inferior to the American one now but now it's a little bit closer in comparison. For example, we get Fresh Prince on ours but I don't believe you guys do.

We are living in an age where more people are looking to be frugal. There has been a decline in cable/satellite subscriptions in recent years. Netflix has been successful because they saw what people were looking for more content, not less.

Got rid of my cable box, bought a $40 Over the Air Antenna for live major network stuff (Fox, NBC ABC, CBS, CW) have Hulu and Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video, plus WWE Network and I use my parents log in for HBOGO and SHOTIME ANYTIME apps on my roku.... Cable can kiss my big white tooshie!
I do miss FX and AMC, though it's easy as hell to find the shows I watch there online.
Anybody who still pays for cable is uninformed, I've been talking friends and family in to "cutting the cord" and ditching cable all together.
To add to the topic: I watched this Canadian show "Darknet" on Netflix the other day, 6 28 minute episodes, a horror anthology type of show, I'd recommend it, it was pretty cool! I also watched FDR: AMERICAN BADASS, AMAZING and HILARIOUS and SO BAD that it's good!

Downside to cutting cable is that in some areas, Xfinity is the only installer, and if you live in an apartment you can't have a dish. And if you cut cable but keep Internet, Xfinity jacks your net price up to what you were paying for cable and Internet together because "It's not the bundle anymore" so it's kid of hard for some to do like me.
