At my theater everybody clapped at the end credits which is rare. I've only seen that like one other time and it was the midnight release of Dark Knight Rises. Also, my new crush: I have heard clapping at the cinema 4 times......Batman 89, Jurassic Park, Spider Man & Avengers. Its a rare and awesome thing to see IMO

Also, my new crush: I have heard clapping at the cinema 4 times......Batman 89, Jurassic Park, Spider Man & Avengers. Its a rare and awesome thing to see IMO I was getting jealous at all of these people on other forums that spoke about how their audience erupted with applause at certain scenes in Jurassic World.. I saw it opening night and sat in a full house, barely anyone made a peep. And I don't think it was lack of enjoying the ing film, I think people have become "too cool" and pretentious to show any type of emotion. The more I thought about it the more I became angry. I've gotten over a little, but it's moments like that that really remind me I'm one of the few that actually love and cherish cinema.. Blessing and curse. But off the top of my head 'The Dark Knight Rises' audience opening night lost their sh*t at the very end. Cheering and applauding.. It was a special moment to be had. They are few and far between, but that's what I've come to expect living in a place like Kentucky.. This place disappoints me constantly.

Spoilers: The only thing I didn't care for in JW was the kids fixing a twenty year old car. Which is kinda fitting cause the only thing I didn't like about Lost World was the girl doing the gymnastic drop kick to the raptors. And I hated how the kid survived alone for weeks in JP3. Sigh...kids, am I right!? Someone pointed out that the younger brother in Jurassic World might have a mental disorder or some type of 'Rain Man' like quality.. Changed the entire way I viewed his character!

Just a heads up, I've seen the movie twice and I'm writing a review. I'll post it on here as soon as it's done.. It's actually taking a little bit of time because I have never wrote a review before.. Well, not a review like this.. I'm literally writing a type of "goods and bads" list about one of the most highly anticipated films of my entire life.. Jurassic Park is my most loved film/franchise ever and I've been waiting on Jurassic World for 14 years.. 22 years really, as soon as I saw Jurassic Park back in 1993 I always envisioned what a fully functional park would look like.. When I was old enough to read and comprehend the Michael Crichton novel, that level of wonder skyrocketed.. So, I'm being cautious.

I'm just back from seeing it the 2nd time......some bulletpoint thoughts
1) Pratt's character of Eoin is really excellent. The comedic timing and scene with the dying Bronto shows the range he possesses. Also that scene with the Bronto had me on the ropes.....reminded me of all the times in the Vets getting my pals put to sleep.
2) Aliens is STILL influencing cinema. The troopers life signs and Bryce with the flare were clear nods.
3) Did everybody see the Raptor corpse in the old visitor centre?
4) The entire subplot with the Raptors really sucked me in. I was engrossed....
5) It was a place beyond awesome to use the original T-Rex......the end scene where he has regained control of the island had a lump in my throat. He would have bought it if not for ol Blue though.....
6)the kids were also great.....not irritating at all. the younger kid is clearly in a bad way and the older brother in denial....seeing them bond was satisfying. Also? That kid has been in TWO monster box office movies in IM3 and JW.
I brought my nephews to this.....and halfway through I realised that the situation was eerily similar to my own experience with the first movie.....right down to similarities during viewing. brought memories back of me going to see it with my Grandad O Rourke.....happy memories but also very sad as he would pass on shortly after. Williams music brought it all flooding back.
After seeing it the 2nd time? It has edged out AOU as my favourite movie this year so far. The only movie that has a shot of unseating it is Star Wars.
EDIT
The entire cinema stood and clapped afterwards.

I just watched Jurassic World.
I loved it. The movie looked AWESOME on the big screen. I wore my Jurassic Park shirt to the theater, and I stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home. What do you know, they had a Jurassic World shirt. Which was basically just an updated version of the shirt I had on. I bought it, of course. haha
Like other people have pointed out, I was surprised that the kids did so well. I thought they might be annoying like most kids are in movies, but nope. I thought the rest of the cast did really well also.
I can't wait to own Jurassic World on DVD/Blu-Ray. I'd give it a solid 9.5/10.
I'm thinking if I should see it again, but in 3D this time.

Now to debate if this was better than Mad Max. Awesome movie. for me it is man...... I rank the big summer movies "thusly" LOL........ Jurassic World Avengers: Age Of Ultron Mad Max Fury Road. I was so wowed after AOU I didn't think it would be toppled.....but JW managed it. I confirmed this on the 2nd viewing.

65% drop in box office on Friday.. But I think as the weekend progresses and we reach Father's Day, the weekend total percentage won't take that significant of a dip.

Just saw Jurassic World and I gotta admit it was a pretty awesome movie and I really enjoyed it. Although I do not agree with it being the best movie of 2015 that's just hyping it too much as it did take a while for the story to pick up. Anyways I did not expect the theaters to be so packed, all the showings for Jurassic World were sold out today. I can just imagine theaters being packed for weeks when the new Star Wars movie comes out.

It's being said that Jurassic World brought in $106.5 million in it's 2nd weekend.. Beat 'The Avengers' record and is the fastest film to ever cross $1 billion dollars worldwide.
..Jesus Christ... I had no idea this would happen..
I'm curious to see what type of legs this movie will have going into July.
