How would turning dinosaurs into military weapons for the US Government butcher the franchise..? I really feel like that's a question that answers itself man.. Did you ever see the original Jurassic Park 4 concept art? Which involved DNA mixing and military weapons. here's a link.Well, IMO replacing the "let's make an amusement park with real dinosaurs/what could possibly go wrong?" formula with a "let's re-open the same dino amuesment park that turned into a disaster but this time add geneticaly modified dinos/what could possibly go wrong?" formula would be borning and dull. I want to see a fresh new element and Jurassic World being used as a cover for much more sinister purposes really adds more depth to the story. And unfortunately for you it really looks like that's how it's gonna be, so you might wanna dust off your old VHS copy of the original and save it for the release of JW and watch that instead cause if you just want the same old story then just stick to the original. And this is coming from a huge fan of the original. Back in the day I was obsessed with JP and had tons of JP merch. So, I still don't understand how this will butcher the franchise. Why would I dust off an old VHS copy and save if for the release of Jurassic World? Why can't I use my Blu-Ray copy and watch it in HD on my LED TV?.. Actually, why can't I go see Jurassic World? Don't be a jerk bro, I was having a conversation with you.. Don't insult me because of my view point.. Having a sinister purpose behind Jurassic World is cliche and off-putting.. Alot of franchises are doing it right now and it's noticeable, even by casual movie goers.. Depth to the story can be easily created using the source material provided in the original books and a creative director. They've already made 3 movies and now on the 4th they're still pulling material out of Michael Crichton's novels.. Turning a billion dollar franchise into a B level SyFy film is not a good idea.. And weaponizing dinosaurs for the US Government isn't cool or edgy, it's bad writing. The movie has already been made anyways.. And it indeed has that "dino amuesment park that turned into a disaster but this time add geneticaly modified dinos/what could possibly go wrong?" formula in it.. So you might find it boring and dull.

The idea of weaponizing dinosaurs is horrible. That idea killed the franchise for over 10 years. I don't think they would try and do that again.

I don't watch a lot of TV, and so the last thing I remember BD Wong being in post-JP was the revival of the "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" musical. He played Linus. I have the cd. It's amazing.
Also, aside from JP, I nerd out whenever I see "The Office" alumni working on anything, and I just caught Andy Buckley in the background when Ty Simpkins' mom is saying "run" trying to be all coy and sexy like for some creepy ass reason, so that corrected my one qualm with the trailer.

David f*ckin Wallace! He's also in bridesmaids, as well as Erin but who doesn't know that, Hank was in it, and someone else but I can't remember. I have to rewatch it

I have to rewatch it I want to say Angela Kinsey as a jeweler, but that may have been that god awful License to Wed with John Krasinski (and a bit part from Brian Baumgartner).

I am beyond excited for the film but also filled with dread to a degree through what was shown in the trailer. Yes there are a lot of great and glourious elements i would want and expect to see BUT the CGI is shaky, something to me that sucks the organic feeling and realism out of a film like this is poor CG and that water Dino was a bit hmm. In addition the trailer mooted main event Dino just looks a bit bland, like it's literally got grey skin all over from what we see and that to me coupled with the seemingly obligatory one ugly mother er head it will have is a bit poop. Having said that I am still so so so excited to see this film, I wish it was out NOW.

Even the CGI gate was made only for the trailer, the director confirmed on twitter that the actual gate in the movie is made out of wood, concrete, etc. I have to point out that even though I'm beyond excited and Jurassic World can currently do no wrong, this trailer was very poorly put together.. It's just not a good trailer. EDIT** Just to show how much CGI can change from trailer 1 to the final trailer before release..

Her hair was pretty badass. The trailer wasnt great UNTIL that John Williams piano kicked in. It was a weirdly pieced together trailer. it was part teaser part full trailer.

Phew, I was really worried those were the dinosaurs they were using cause they looked bad in the trailer. I just gotta throw this out there. Bryce Dallas Howard is SUCH a babe.. I've never been a big fan, but she looks amazing here.

It just looks like a terrible movie. Maybe it's just a first trailer thing. But nothing about this trailer screams great to me, it just looks mediocre and bad.

Guess im missing what you're getting at here? For one, he looks like a seasoned animal.. Like's he's been alive for about 20 years.. The 2nd is his battle scars around the neck. Like the type a T-Rex would get from fighting 3 raptors at the end of the first movie! RUMORS ARE THAT IT'S THE ORIGINAL T-REX FROM THE FIRST FILM BRO!!
