www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/news/a615914/21-jump-street-and-men-in-black-crossover-in-the-works-at-sony.html#~oY9ebIqiXX2j6JYeah....I was like wtf when I read it too --------------------------------------------- The Sony leak has revealed plans for a crossover between 21 Jump Street and Men in Black. Documents obtained by The Wall Street Journal suggest that the studio is considering the movie for a 2016 or 2017 release. Emails to and from Sony's Motion Picture Chief Amy Pascal show that Jonah Hill - who starred in 21 Jump Street and this year's sequel 22 Jump Street - is on board for the project. Pascal wrote in one message: "We don't have a script yet so we'll be greenlighting the movie off the concept and the talent involved." Hill wrote: "jump street merging with mib [sic] i think that's clean and rad and powerful." However, although Hill is keen to appear in the project, it appears that Men in Black stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have yet to agree to leading roles in the crossover film. Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have signed up to produce, and may also direct the movie. Other leaked documents have uncovered plans for Spider-Man to star in Captain America: Civil War. ----------------------------------------------

I love the Jump Street movies but I have no interest in them merging with the poisonously unfunny MIB franchise.

Chief: "You two sons of bitches are going to Men in Black School.."
Schmidt: "I'm sorry sir, don't you mean Men in African American School?"

EVERYONE would turn out to see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones pass the mantel of MIB on to Jaden Smith while they team with Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube.. Ice Cube is running an intergalactic space station on earth with Will Smith's kid and the Jump Street guys?
Absolutely everyone would give that atleast ONE shot, because it sounds like complete and utter madness.

I'm all for it considering how self-aware the 21 Jump street universe is. 22 Jump Street was awesome.

I'm just down for Jump Street sequels in general but it sounds like a bad Christmas special. I did love 22 though. The scene in the Jumpstreet station with Tatum figuring out the whole deal with Ice Cube's daughter is genuinely one of the funniest parts of any movie ever imo.

That entire sequence had me nearly pissing myself. I've gained so much respect for Tatum these past couple years. I never would have thought I'd say that Tatum has ended up being one of the funniest (and potentially most talented, with some more development) actors of this generation...

I would love to see a sequence between Smith, and Tatum where they have to chase an alien down (ala MiB with Smith chasing him on foot) and the back and forth during that sequence.
The more I think about this, the more I really think it could be awesome, if done properly. Then at the end, Hill wakes up, and the entire thing was a dream. Would fit well into what they've built with 21/22, already.

The fight between Schmidt and Mercedes at the end is one of the funniest fight scenes I've ever seen.

Yeah, I'm pretty pumped for Foxcatcher and Jupiter Ascending too. I'm still holding my breath on Gambit. Nothing against Tatum's ability, because I like him, but I'm a massive fan of Gambit and I thought they got the Taylor Kitsch casting right. Hopefully he wins me over quickly though with Apocalypse.
