I mean seriously. This was one of the best movies I've ever seen and is what caused my 25 year love affair with the pulp era of the 20s/30s. I know it ended without any real reason to make a sequel, but the selfish side of me wants to revisit the world of Cliff Secord and Jenny Blake . Hell, those two have aged so well, you could set it ten years later during WW2 and nobody would be none the wiser.
How would you guys feel about a sequel? I would love for Joe Johnston to return and direct it. But I sadly believe there isn't a market for it anymore. But they'd take my money with absolutely no hesitation from me.

I don't know, I watched it as a kid and I liked it but it was pretty forgettable for the most part. I think if anything they would do a remake over a sequel, but even that is a bit of a stretch.

I enjoy it - have it on blu ray (steelbook)

Have it on Blu-ray as well. One of my favorite movies as a kid. I think the demand for a sequel is pretty small, but I'd definitely see it and support it. It's like Willow for me though. One of those movies I'll love unconditionally forever and it really doesn't need another go-round because it worked so well for time and place the first time around.
To be fair, Disney brought Tron back from the dead though, so never say never imo.

If they brought it back it would most likely be a reboot instead of a direct sequel.

To this day I thank that movie for introducing me to Jennifer Connelly. She's been on the list ever since.

I absolutely love that movie, but there's no way it's getting a sequel. The fan base is fairly small, and it's been almost 25 year.
I actually think it could be remade/booted pretty well though with the right people involved.

I absolutely think they could reboot it for today, because of the fact most kids don't even know of its existence...Imagine how much better certain scenes would be with improved CGI and greater effects.
I mean, these days steampunk is all the rage- what's nearer to that concept than the badassery of that Rocketeer Mask/jetpack, and the awesome display of that time period? I think there's tons of opportunity to reinvigorate the property.
