i just cant imagine Raw losing any ratings, considering the high quality effort they put into the show every week.....yes...sarcasm but its funny all the "new" fans will always say...Raw is amazing, i blame vince alot, but at the same time, i blame the "new generation" because they accept this crap, and until vince gets as low as TNA he wont change it, ratings are down, morale is down, interest is down, but as long as vince isnt going out of business, he wont change a thing, TNA needs to step up their game, and stop following wwe footsteps, give the fans what they want, and start making some noise in the wrestling industry, otherwise we all lose I get what your saying and younger fans please do not think I am being rude, but the wwe has a whole generation of fans that they have pretty much trained to believe that evrything they do is gold. It's like people are scared they will be called "not a real wrestling fan" if they say they do not like something. The in ring product is fine it's the lack of good characters and character development that is the problem. Look at rock vs cena billed as the match of the millennium, but when cena lost he didn't give a crap. Well if he does not care why should us fans get invested.? I think there is a ton of good talent in the wwe, but they just seem fine to stay in 3rd gear and not take any risks.

Nonsense. Show me a wrestling forum that isn't full of anyone over the age of twelve complaining about absolutely everything. The only wrestling fans who believe everything they do is gold are the kids who aren't on the Internet sites yet and still enjoy wrestling like we all did when we were kids. It's the same pattern we all follow: -I love wrestling! -Hey, the Internet's a thing! Let's look at wrestling stuff on it. -Wow, they have backstage gossip on there! Let's read it. -Oh, I hate wrestling now. It doesn't have the same magic anymore. All the things suck and I could do a better job than Vince McMahon. The only way WWE are conditioning any generation of fans to believe that everything they do is gold is if they can somehow kill mass communication. And then they wouldn't be able to plug the app or the network anymore, so it's a catch-22 situation for them. I don't think anybody thinks Dolph Ziggler vs Luke Harper 19 times in a month is a good idea. Even Vince, who just shrugs because he can't be bothered to think of anything else.

The IWC is a small fraction of WWE's audience.

The more they keep Lesnar off of TV while he is Champion, the more fans will long for someone to hurry up and beat him. Essentially, this will make the fans get behind Reigns to finally take the Belt off of Lesnar. That's the WWE's logic anyway, even if I personally feel like Reigns will be like Batista last year all over again.

I think there is a ton of good talent in the wwe, but they just seem fine to stay in 3rd gear and not take any risks. I was watching old clips...jake letting a king cobra bite randy savage, jake slapping Liz on ppv, undertaker locking warrior in a closet, hbk fainting during his match with Owen hart, earthquake destroying hogan on brother love show, earthquake squishing a snake, slaughter burning a hogan poster, and so on.... makes me think how much drama there was, and it mean good drama, everyone was on the edge of their seat, they were crying, yelling, it was real to them DAMMIT, but seriously, ppl got involved and cared, it was like a family, ppl left the arena in disbelief but not because they couldn't believe what a crappy show they just paid for like now, but because they can't believe what they seen, look at all the cards and letters hogan got when everyone though he was done, hard to explain the emotion the wwf and wcw for that matter brought outing everyone, now they don't have a storyline interesting enough for is to care, and if we did care, the next week they would just drop the angle anyways, even the acting is ridiculous now, when I watch Seth Rollins try to be funny, and talk like he is reading from a script, makes me sick....big show...one week he is getting his ass beat, then crying in public , then the next week we are supposed to believe he is a superhuman being, and no one can stop him, pfffft I like the big show but it's been beaten with a dead fish for way too long, in real life, I wouldn't wanna duck with him, but his character? Not very scary..... Well, my point is, they don't give us the passion in their product, so we can't give them our passion...

I wonder if I'd enjoy RAW more if I didn't read Internet stuff......
I doubt it.

I wonder if I'd enjoy RAW more if I didn't read Internet stuff...... I doubt it. Well, the Internet was alive (but young) during the Monday Night Was, and IMO, it added to the excitement. There is just not enough enjoyment to fill three hour episodes of Raw is Bore these days.

I haven't watched Raw in a while now. I didn't bother to watch today when I read it was Seth Rollins vs. John Cena again and Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose again. I swear WWE is terrible.

I wonder if I'd enjoy RAW more if I didn't read Internet stuff...... I doubt it. It'd go one of two ways. Either: 1) Watch it and enjoy it more. or 2) Wouldn't be watching anyway. When people stop liking wrestling on TV, the Internet stuff still keeps them involved.

I really think having a champion who is on every show does make a difference.

I agree. RAW has been really terrible lately. I try to enjoy it, but I just can't. This week's RAW was even worse. Its just happening to often and its been really crappy week in and week out. They really need to step it up. I really hope it can get better as we head into Royal Rumble and the road to Wrestlemania begins....

In other words, Big Show = ratings. Ambrose and Wyatt don't.
Meh. I don't care about ratings anymore. I don't have a Nielsen box and don't know anyone who does. Ratings also don't take into account someone like Bash, or myself earlier this year, who watch on Hulu+.

In all my time of being a fan, this past Monday was the first time I didn't watch. I just can't seem to enjoy the show like I did when I was younger. Whether it has to do with the introduction of the internet or not I don't know, but for the time being, I'm not going out of my way to watch a bland product.

They've always went off of ratings and they probably will for a long time so yeah, it is pretty accurate because most people watch it on regular tv.

However, a lot of people who watch on regular TV don't own a Nielsen box so they don't get counted into the ratings. That includes myself and many people that I know. The Hulu+ thing is a much smaller number, I know, but the point still stands that the Nielsen ratings, while showing most of the viewers, don't accurately tell the whole story.

I agree about the Nielsen box. They should just take a good estimate off of total viewers from all outlets of not only WWE, but all shows, and calculate it out to however they see fit. See just how much viewership you are getting. Say you have 6 million worldwide views for Raw on every outlet that is featured. For example say 50% of those views have a household of three. Then you could say you had roughly 15 million sets of eyes on your Raw episode. Or something like that I dunno
