Hey everyone I took advantage of the target online defining moments flair sale and grabbed two for $25. I opened one and it has absolutely no hip movement! How can I fix this, the lower torso and tights have no movement at all

Run it under some warm water to loosen up the joints.

Boil some water. Put it in the water so that the glue will melt off the waist joint. Wait 30-40 seconds. Then twist enough to break away the remaining glue, but not the figure.

Run it under some warm water to loosen up the joints. This. Just run it under some hot tap water for a couple minutes. Then put it in a seated position and leave it for a day. Once you move the hips the next day you shouldn't have any issues with it anymore.

I ran super hot water for a while then put the figure in and every joint is more loose but the hip refuses to even move a bit.

Nice Job. Not often you get a company to do that kind of thing without a big fight. Congrats!

I tried boiling my DM Flair first to loosen the waist but that didn't work so I carefully cut through the glue with an exacto knife. That worked and the figure has full mobility now. Since then, I've had to do this to at least two other new figures that had the same problem.

Is this a common problem with figures? I've never had tight joints on a figure but I've read a few people on here mention it.

That's the issue with my BOPPV (Heyman?) Daniel Bryan. Didn't care enough to contact Mattel and complain, though.

That's the issue with my BOPPV (Heyman?) Daniel Bryan. Didn't care enough to contact Mattel and complain, though. I would get in touch with them if it isn't too late. I made a thread a couple of months ago praising their customer service because I purchased the newest elite Punk and his left arm was completely missing the decals on the backside. I called them up, explained my situation, and all she wanted was the code that's right above the barcode. 2 weeks later, a voucher for a new figure was sitting in my mailbox. As long as you aren't a d*ck about it, they'll gladly help you out. I've heard about ppl complaining about things in all the wrong ways and Matty not doing anything about it.

Same thing happened with my E18 Undertaker. Never did get around to fixing it.
