Fair enough, no Seth Rogen movie should ever be released.

What example does that set? They can hack a company, leak personal information, do their absolute very best to ruin the lives of people involved with the project, then threaten our country with violence and get their way? Behind a keyboard? North Korea made a threat, and for the first time in my 26 years alive we took it seriously. And it wasn't a threat that clearly said "this will happen on this day at this place at this time".. It was a threat that said "something bad will happen somewhere". These terrorists have received everything they asked for.. As an American this is a sad day and ultimately a giant loss. We went face to face with a terrorist and backed down. Some of you might not understand, but other world leaders will see this as a sign of weakness.. World leaders that want war, are barbaric in nature.. So World leaders that want war just saw mega power America back down from a challenge that was indeed intended to be an act of war.. That's not good. No. Instead they specifically stated it'd be on the level of 9/11... how stupid do you have to be, to think that going through with showing the film wouldn't be a horrible and risky decision? Movie shouldn't have been green lit, in the first place. How do you sound right now? You're pretty much saying that we should give up our right to freedom of speech and give into bullying. I'm truly disgusted right now.

The right decision was made. I'm glad the threat was taken seriously. How is giving up our freedom of speech and giving into bullying a good decision?

I'll say it, North Korea. They should honestly just re-release Team America: World Police instead. This sets a horrible precedent for the next time some other country/group/etc. doesn't like something.

Hopefully Trey and Matt make a sequel to Team America about Kim Jong Un now. Not that they ever would, because they hated making Team America lol.
They really shouldn't have bitched out and just shown the movie. Everyone should be fair game to make fun of.

I think it is stupid as for theaters (and Sony because I heard they were happy the theaters were not showing it and probably asked them to behind the scenes) to get scared of this sh*t.. It is going to be really stupid when any other 'terrorist' group, legit or not, threatens America (or any other country) with violence because of some other movie they don't care for being released.. Are they all going to be prevented from being released? What if they don't like some TV show being made or a video game? Point blank, terrorists and their stupid threats!

While I probably would have eventually seen in on DVD I now want to see it sooner rather than later to see what all the ing fuss was about..

If Sony releases this on VOD, I think there's a swell of support that will purchase it. They have a lot of money to make back... I think the money lost over the Interview isn't their biggest worry right now. They're being sued by current employees due to the security breach. Also I've seen no articles saying Sony is discussing VOD, Variety and Deadline's quotes from Sony say they have no plans to release it any further. I made this before Sony said they weren't going to release it. If you look a little further down on Varity, it says they were discussing it. I also didn't say making money from the Interview is priority, there is now a groundswell of people who want to see it and releasing it is a strong statement on free speech.

The movie was a stupid idea to begin with. If another country made a movie about how awesome 9/11 was, I'm sure in America that there would be outrage.
And really, North Korea should be treated as heroes for preventing another piece of crap James Franco movie to come out. I think as a showing of good will and apology that America should send James Franco to North Korea to be executed.

North Korea is full of crap. They're the little kids on the playground trying to attack the big kids and being held back with a hand on their forehead.

Just like America is the 5th grade bully that picks on the 1st graders at the playground and that's perfectly fine. Until a bigger 4th grader, who can take on the 5th grader, starts picking on the 5th grader... then he cries that he's being bullied.
