#Vigilante is more WWE's style now.

I just think its so awkward how they do these things. It's been less noticeable so far with the vigilante thing but jesus they've shoehorned in "big red" and "demolition derby" so many times in the last month it's cringeworthy. It's like "HEY GUYS WE CAME UP WITH A THING, AND ITS GONNA CATCH ON WHETHER YOU WANT IT TO OR NOT" The Juggernaut Roman Reigns says they NEVER do this.

I was never a fan of the "icon" nickname, but this is even worse

The part that has bugged me about a lot of nicknames is, how in the world is Goldust, Edge, and Stardust in and of itself not a nickname? They've gone meta and given nicknames to nicknames.
Also absent from the list are: 1. Captain Charisma Christian (Cage) 2. The One Man Southern Rock Band Heath Slater 3. The One Man Band Heath Slater 4. Duchess of Dudleyville Stacy Keibler 5. The One Billy Gunn 6. Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero 7. The Rabid Wolverine He Who Shall Not Be Named 8. The Olympic Hero Kurt Angle 9. The Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin 10. The All American American Jack Swagger 11. The Real American Jack Swagger 12. Legend Thriller Jeff Hardy 13. The Extreme Enigma Jeff Hardy 14. The Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy 15. The Rainbow Haired Warrior Jeff Hardy 16. Mr. Money in the Bank 17. Second City Savior CM Punk 18. Paul Heyman Guy 19. The King of Swing Cesaro 20. The Swiss Sensation Cesaro 21. Long Island Iced Z Zack Ryder
Look, I'm sure if you went through the male roster, you'd find that everyone has a nickname. Probably be easier to see who doesn't.

Was Sting called The Icon in WCW? I don't remember it. Nope. TNA called him the Icon. He was commonly referred to as the franchise of WCW but the Icon moniker was definitely a TNA deal. So I don't blame WWE for not using it at all. It's not a big deal imo.

People complaining about everyone having nicknames have clearly not watched a UFC fight or a boxing match.

I just think it's a dumb name to put with Sting. Like Chip said earlier, Sting doesn't need a nickname. The Vigilante sounds ridiculous.

I like to imagine all these nicknames are Vince's outrage over NXT outperforming the main roster. I can just imagine him in a production meeting all flustered:
"I'm hip, dammit! I understand the times! Erick Rowan, he's like..uh....he's a Big Red! Yeah! That's good, dammit, use it!"

Andre was called the 8th wonder of the world because Vince was mad at Baron Corbin.

One day the Vigilante Sting won't be able to stop bad things from happening and he'll need help from the Police Sting. If there was still karma, you'd be getting some.

Vince has lots of money, maybe he can time travel. His first move would be making his mother fall in love with him and doing the incest angle he's always wanted to do.

Sting to me, is no icon. Wrestling all his life in second or third rate promotions does not warrant Icon status. WWE was number one for 50 years. WCW was number one only 83 weeks by accident. Sting is no icon.
