Not sure if this goes here or in the indy thread since it involves WWE, BUT I was surprised when I read this on reddit. www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/1217/587798/tag-team-turns-down-wwe-tryouts/Then again, I understand why the Bucks did turn down the offer, and then I think more in depth, and then I don't. They're doing fairly well as a tag team in the indy's. They're in demand as a team, and that's AWESOME. Along with the Brisco's, I'm certain the Bucks are the best team in the indy's right now. I feel like they would do very well in NXT. I can't fathom the thought of seeing Finn Bálor & Itami vs. The Young Bucks, or even The Ascension vs. The Young Bucks. Then, the time would come where they'd get called up. Would they be looked at as the "new" Hardy Boyz? For people who don't know of the Bucks, I feel like they'd be judged as such. We all know WWE's main roster tag division is pathetic. They'd either get lost in the shuffle, or be through endless feuds between The Uso's and The Dust Brothers/Stardust & Goldust. Do you guys think The Young Bucks would do well as a WWE tag team?

I had heard about this some time during the week. It does suck because I, for one, believe that The Young Bucks are one of the best overall acts in professional wrestling today. At the same time, however, I can see where they're coming from. They're booked all over the world right now and are probably making more money than they would with a developmental deal. As long as they're happy with their decision, I respect it and look forward to seeing them continue to tear it up on the Indy scene.

Apparently both Bucks have kids in their lives. I didn't know that. With that, I imagine they make much more than the reported $20-30,000 NXT pay.

I understand why they turned it down. I mean why work for a company and be on the road constantly when you can work whenever you want, see your family and make the same amount if not more money than current guys on NXT.

The WWE has a proven track record over the last 5+ years to not care about Tag Team Wrestling so until there is a drastic change in that mindset, the Bucks are much better suited outside of the WWE.

Good. They're by far the most overrated wrestlers on the indies. No interest in ever seeing them in WWE.

Good, I don't want to see them ruined. Glad to see they value their careers over more money. Plus, they'd probably fail in WWE anyway because of Vince's weird fetish for breaking up good tag teams.

I have a lot of respect for this. Great to see that they can make enough outside of the WWE to turn them down. I'm sure WWE's previous treatment of tag teams will have been a factor.

pretty dumb if you ask me
who cares how they would be "used"....about 50,000 people know who they are about about 5 million people would know who they are if they were in the WWE
numbers are not exact of course, but you get my point. despite all the faults the WWE has, if you're a wrestling why in gods name would you NOT want to at least ATTEMPT to get there? it'd be like a great NFL player who just wants to stay in college his entire life....or when he leaves college he immediately goes and plays arena football

They are having fun doing what they are doing now so why stop that just for some notoriety? Wrestling fans know about them. That's probably all they really care about right now. Not to mention they get paid as much or more than the average NXT wrestler gets paid so there's no real sense in leaving that behind either. To your point there are plenty of people that play junior level sports just because they like playing with no real aspirations to "hit the big time"

Im not saying you are lying but good Lord, that is a small check for what they do. I find it hard to believe the guys that were recruited to come there, (Neville, Devitt, Itami, Zyne, and Steen) are making that low of a salary.

Overrated may be the most overrated way of saying "I don't really care for them" on the internet. Good for you, except they ARE overrated. A couple of spot monkeys who are absolutely nothing special, but the internet acts like is God's gift to wrestling. Therefore, overrated.
