Common sense should tell you... Mighty Mouse means they want him to be legit despise his smaller size. They aren't going to have him wear a cape and mouse ears. There was a rumor a few months ago that Vince wanted to debut Neville with a Mighty Mouse gimmick, costume included; but HHH talked him out of it. There is no doubt in my mind that Vince actually wants him to be Mighty Mouse. I don't believe that rumor for a second. It's obviously someone just making fun of his ears.

This, plus if you look at Neville's physique, he's got a great looking physique for someone his size, so I can understand why he might get that gimmick.

Reads internet rumor - "How can you WWE fans defend this crap?". Doesn't wait to see if it is actually going to happen.
If it happens, will crap on it. If it doesn't happen, will stay completely quiet. Also, ignores when he is proven.
This is the OP in a nutshell.

You forgot the part where he read "Mighty Mouse-esque gimmick" and, instead of the common sense interpretation that marino posted straight away where it refers to a brave, plucky smaller guy... OP made the stupid assumption that it read "literally a Mighty Mouse gimmick" because it fit his anti-WWE agenda.

We'll see how it plays out, if it's even true.
At the very least, I can appreciate WWE trying to add more depth to his character.

If he gets this gimmick and it's what it sounds like, he's going to be nothing but a low card jobber and released shortly there after. But Vince "I'm not out of touch" McMahon will not care and he will ruin every potential star they get barring Reigns.

You're better off standing out, even with a crap gimmick (just look at Sandow now). Rather than being a Tyson Kidd or Justin Gabriel guy that no one has a chance to like.

But he's not standing out for anything, definitely not a push. He's just a rib and there to be laughed at, Neville and Sandow are to talented for that. I'd prefer he stay in NXT.

Let's not disrespect what Tyson Kidd has done lately.

This is the same company that had a Mini-Gator, Mini-Bull, and a Bunny in a feud a few months ago; once had a stable of male cheerleaders main eventing; and had the owner of the company in a match with God. Oh, and it's the same guy who thinks pushing people in the pool is one of the greatest ribs ever. Not to mention the number of goofy gimmicks we've had in the last few years. Somehow, I just don't find Vince wanting a dress a short, big-eared guy up as a mouse all that impossible.

I dont really think it matters. He's a absolute fantastic talent and in ring worker but I havent seen the "it factor" in him where he is going to be something big. Even Daniel Bryan and Punk showed flashes of "it factor".

Who wants to bet that Finn Balor will get a leprechaun gimmick once he goes to the main roster?

He's English, so if anything he should be Danger Mouse.
