Wow! I hope he is going to announce his entry into the Rumble. But I fear it will be an early retirement. I will say this... IF he does officially retire tonight, he has reached the pinnacle of this profession. Winning two great matches and walking out WWE World Champion at the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania is an achievement many would kill for. He has nothing to feel bad about.

Maybe it's that John Cena is his favourite wrestler of all time

If he's accepted the fact that he has to retire, it may be looked at as a positive for him to move onto the next phase of his life. Perhaps raw GM... God I hope not, he was awful as the GM

God I hope not, he was awful as the GM It's better than not seeing him on my tv. As long as he's there I don't care what he's doing.

God I hope not, he was awful as the GM It's better than not seeing him on my tv. As long as he's there I don't care what he's doing. Understand that it's difficult for someone who can no longer actively wrestle remain part of the product. Edge, for example, said numerous times following his retirement that he couldn't watch on television because watching others do what he couldn't pained him. I would imagine it would be the same for Bryan.

God I hope not, he was awful as the GM It's better than not seeing him on my tv. As long as he's there I don't care what he's doing. As much as I'd like to see Bryan on WWE TV, I respectfully disagree with that statement. I'd rather see a talented wrestler walk off into the sunset rather than tarnish his legacy by being a pointless part of the show like a GM. I absolutely hated when Austin did it in 2003. The whole Austin character was about him going against those in power, now he was part of what he was fighting all those years? Same goes for Bryan. Overexposure after retirement is a bad thing for a wrestlers legacy imo. Look at guys like Duggan, Slaughter, Dusty, Foley, etc... following their retirements they were on so many shows that crowds just stopped caring, I remember in 2000 when Mick Foley was getting huge pops from crowds, nowadays it just sounds like no one cares. I actually believe Hogan is heading in that direction as well. Thats why guys like Rock, Edge, HBK and Austin still get huge pops in todays era, they know when they need to come back and when it is too soon.

I really hope it's not him announcing his retirement. I will literally cry.
Hopefully it's him announcing that he'll be in the Rumble match.

Storyline wise he was brought in to keep Eric Bischoff in check, so in a way he was still rebelling against authority figures. Bryan however, I agree I wouldn't care to see him as the GM.

I'm leaning towards (hoping) Bryan's entering (winning) the rumble.
Everything that's happened to Bryan this year good and bad could would add so much emotion to a Bryan/Lesnar match at Mania.

Do I watch and get emotional, or do I not watch and just pretend it never happened?

I've called retirement for a long time I hope its not, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was.
