Don't know if this is the right place to ask this, so if needed, move this to Banter or wherever it belongs! So I'm looking for endings of Songs that are only played live, and not on the studio recording! For example: The last part Mayer sings here is not on the Studio version of the song: ("I'm swimming in a sea of faces...") Do you guys know of similar cases? Mostly this kinda music, or Rock, Alternative, etc. (No Hardcore/Death/Metal please). For those who wonder, it's for a project for university, involving the things that first left unspoken but get spoken afterwards...if that makes any sense? Anway, thank you, I really appreciate you guys helping me out!

They sing a whole extra verse at the end. It was never studio recorded, only ever played live.

I know you said rock, but Kanye West performed a song called 'Awesome' and he only ever did it live, once. Apparently it was partly made up on the spot, partially written previously as a tribute to his wife.

Paramore adds a live outro to "Let the Flames Begin"...
It begins with the "oh father" line.

On the GNR album Appetite for Destruction, the song Nightrain just fades out. Live, the song actually has an ending.

Aside from the added intro, Dave plays a solo after Marty's that isn't in the studio recording. It is in the demo version of the song though.

thank you guys, you helped me a bit already! What I look for are different OUTROS, not songs that are only played live! (Just for clarification)

November Rain - Guns N Roses
14:30 is where the song ends on the album but the band extends the outro for another 30 seconds. I would have used the video from the Appetite For Democracy concert but they cut it short on Youtube. Flying piano ftw.

On the GN'R song 'Double Talkin' Jive', Slash would change up the outro practically every time it was played live.

Bruce Springsteen adds an few minutes onto the end of some of his songs when playing live, that'll be how he reaches the three hour plus mark at each concert. I've got both his New Zealand concerts on my iPod. Dancing In The Dark for example. The lyrics ended at 3:30 but the band keeps playing for another five minutes. Some more examples below.
Badlands Darlington County Glory Days I'm Goin' Down Out In The Street The River
Also, Let There Be Rock by AC/DC is another. Every AC/DC fan knows thats when Angus does his super long solo to end the song.

Metallica like to jam a little bit at the end of The Outlaw Torn on the rare occasion that they play it live.

Alter Bridge loves to riff the outro of some songs at their concerts, usually to 'Rise Today'.
Check their Live At Wembley concert DVD, or the Live from Amsterdam one, they do it on both I believe.

Linkin Park began to do this at live shows after Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away.

If you still need them:
Ending part is different to the studio recording.

Garth Brooks - The Thunder Rolls
That song has a extra verse that isn't on the cd or radio. Its not the genre that you mentioned but thought I would list it anyway.
