WWE use basic logic? Inconceivable.

Because the WWE knows deep down that Ric Flair was at least a 20 time World Champion. Thank you... It drives me insane that they don't include all of his title reigns.

They could also be saving the big promotion for his opportunity to pass Flair. I expect a big deal to be made of number 17.

I give it a few more hours before Lance Storm hears about this thread and somehow blocks and deletes it like he does to all his wrestling fans on Twitter when they speak their opinion of things. That or if you mention charities to him, he'll go a rant about how charities are bull crap

Then again I do tend to think that if Flair had been in this time frame instead of the time frame he is from that he might be a thirty time champion at this point. So.. It doesn't seem as big of a deal to me when I look at it that way. The championship just doesn't mean what it once did. I guess we have to understand that.

Probably because he's the Number One contender so many times, WWE doesn't want to over-emphasize that point until he's booked to win it.
Imagine that, WWE actively avoiding over-emphasizing...

Because no one cares about tying a record. It should be all about beating the record.

Well technically Cena beat his record already because flair only held the WWE championship twice. Idk why WWE includes his other reigns and has them set at 16 when it's well past 20 reigns. I always lol at the WWE recognizing Ric and Sting's NWA title reigns but whenever Christian makes an appearance they never make note of it. WWE's revisionist history at its finest. They love to pick and chose what they recognize.

I say the same thing I said on Twitter: he isn't going to win the title, so it hasn't even crossed their mind as a possibility.

I honestly thought THIS was what they would have Flair talk about at "Raw Reunion". They've had him come out and cut meaningless promos so many times, this was one opportunity for them to use him effectively; I guess having him get into it with Big Show wasn't so bad.... Have someone come out and cut a meaningful promo? Who needs that when you can have Big Show cut a promo about needing to feed his family again! He either has a very large family, or is very bad at investing his millions. Large family like nunber of people? Or size? I guess either way, Big Show's family is large. It's not his fault he has to buy a lot of food. He's just trying to be WWE Superstar.

Probably not, but maybe they will slip one of these days if they read off some of his accomplishments.

I haven't paid attention to anything Lance Storm has said in a while. He's an absolutely horrible person. I can't imagine anybody else talking crap about cancer charities. In my opinion, he should exile himself from the business entirely.

If they acknowledged NWA title wins from after it became completely irrelevant belt, they'd have to call R-Truth a former world champion, and that would just make everyone look bad.

Blame the NWA for not acknowledging various dusty finishes, phantom title changes, and unauthorised wins/losses that Flair (or local promoters) changed on the fly.

Christian helped bright legitimacy to the nwa title. And yes technically r-truth is technically a former world champ. As bad as that sounds it's true. Its annoying how the wwe picks and chooses what they acknowledge. Either acknowledge everyone who held the nwa title or don't mention it at all.
