From the folks over at Collider..
Here’s your rumor warning: this is a rumor, and a rumor in the very early development stages at that. That being said, this is an awesome rumor and one I hope is true. Deadline reports that Chris Pratt is being eyed to take over the leading role in an Indiana Jones reboot as the swashbuckling anthropologist made famous by Harrison Ford. Pratt has long proved the power of his charisma on Parks and Recreations, and finally established his leading man status last year with Guardians of the Galaxy.
We’ve been waiting for word of forward motion on an Indiana Jones revival since Disney and Paramount struck a deal back in 2013, and then quickly told fans not to expect a new film for two to three years while the writers worked out a good story. This casting rumor fits in perfectly within that timeline and hopefully that means they figured out a story everyone feels passionate about. If the story’s good, then Chris Pratt is absolutely the right man to bring the beloved snake-fearing adventurer back to the big screen. He’s got the charm, the pelvic sorcery and the ruggedness, and while Pratt is best known for playing goofy, less-than-brilliant characters, I have no doubt he could drop the shtick and play an earnest and intelligent man. Look, there’s always going to be outcry about why this shouldn’t be remade, but the fact is they’re going to do it, and if they’re going to do it, at least rumor has it they’re looking in the right direction.
Nice..

If there's anyone around right now that can pull it off, it's Pratt.
My only hope is they don't try to go full reboot and just make it different Indy adventures set in the same world. It's not like the originals were one continuous story anyway. Temple of Doom took place before Raiders, for example.

If this has to happen, Pratt seems like best case scenario.

If they must do a reboot I don't see anyone better suited for the role.

ing please stop. Couldn't really care for the original Indy films, great growing up but haven't gone for them in years and Pratt doesn't need to be jammed into a stupid reboot. Make a new name and new film title with exactly the same premise. I'm typing this with the vomit still shooting out after seeing the Ghostbusters cast confirmed, jesus.

I'd prefer Bradley Cooper IF they re-boot. If they don't reboot, no more Indy, period, please.

I wish they'd just continue the Shia LaBeouf story.. Continue the legacy.

Yes we need a reboot. Because Disney didn't buy the rights for nothing. They bought it to make money off it.

I hate reboots first Ghostbusters which has a terrible cast and now Indiana Jones. I do however like that Chris Patt will be the star of the movie I don't see anybody else who could pull it off.

I hope it isn't a reboot personally but a continuation.....what about Harrison Ford telling somebody about his adventures? Yknow he is in it for 5 mins at the start,3 in the middle and a few at the end? then we flash back to Chris Pratt/Pine or Bradley Cooper as Indy doing his thing.
If Disney were smart (and they are) this si the way to go.....don't disregard everything that came before. its getting f*cking tiresome.
Star Trek, Jurassic Park & Star Wars are doing it right......Hopefully Indy will be the same.

I say Grandson because Indiana Jones was fighting freaking nazis. And Harrison Ford is old as hell and broke his leg filming Star Wars.

A reboot is 100% the wrong way to go with Indy......this is the way to go.

They don't need to reboot Indiana Jones I'm convinced Hollywood is out of original ideas.
