Well, I don't exactly remember him walking around and wrestling with his tongue out constantly either but Mattel thought that was a good idea, too. There's some arcane law that all X-Pac merchandise has to have him with his tongue sticking out. His TNA figure didn't... And that never got released. Coincidence? I think not.

I completely agree though. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn had removable head gear, why couldn't X-Pac?
It's the extra attention to detail and accessories that Mattel have thankfully given us over the last 5 years, that seems to be dwindling as of late.

Mattel has seemed to have this philosophy for a while of having the Elite be an entrance based figure.
Hell, I don't display my Elites without it, kind of a "it's there, I've gotta use it" mentality. Despite Elites having extra articulation and the possibility for greater poses and staging moves.
So maybe some day we'll get some sort of Heritage set with X-Pac with a neutral scan. I wouldn't fault them if they stuck to this sculpt to save money, however.

His birthday party last August. I always imagined Hogan ripping his shirt off before bed. Me too, after he paces around the bed hulking up, of course.

On another note, it's so damn annoying that they gave X-Pac and The Outlaws the McMahon-Helmsley DX attires/looks, but the Triple H we got was from 1998-1999. Still waiting on that hHh attire for Trips..

I have no issue with the bandana being part of the mold. If I was to have one complaint about this figure it would be to tongue. Displaying it's fine, but if so was someone who played with my figures still I would hate to tongue out 24/7.

He would have the crown designs on his trunks if he was.

His boots in 1998-1999 were different, though, and the ones the figure has are from 2000. Also, he'd usually part his hair down the middle in 1998, whereas he'd always slick them back from his singles run in 1999 onwards.

The attire choices have been odd for DX. HBK (Late 97-Early 98) HHH (Early 99 when he split on DX) Road Dogg (99-00) Billy Gunn (99-00) X-Pac (2000) Idealy i would have give all of them (HBK aside for obvious reasons) attires from around Summer Slam 1998 and another Triple H for Late 97-HBKs departure. The 2000 attires are less iconic and could have been saved, not to mention 98' attires would be more compatible with most of the AE figs we get.
