Well this thread's gonna serve two purposes. One, it's offseason time. Deserving of the new thread. Secondly, kill the trolling. It's getting old and annoying from all sides. Read the "Troll" thread I'm gonna put up momentarily. I've seen more political and religious discussion finish more civilly than some sports arguments on here. It's really a drag. And that's coming from one of the biggest sports homers you'll ever have a chat with. R-E-L-A-X. Life will go on if someone doesn't like a player or a team. Like them Falcons. 'em. But I know the Dirty Birds fan won't rip someone's throat out for saying that. Bring it on T R W .

My thoughts on the Pats.
1. I don't see them keeping Revis 25 mil for the season, restructure the deal with Revis and sign him.
2. As much as I like the big guy #75 Wilfork will be gone.
3. Ayers will sign, I think he's a long-term replacement for Ninkovich.
4. Resign McCourty, pay that man!
5. Amendola should take a small pay cut.
6. KidRid is gone.
7. Vereen will resign.
8. Unless Mayo takes a pay-cut, I think he's gone, unfortunately.
9. Connolly signed to a vet. min.
10. Chung would be smart to sign with us.
11. Gostkowski either franchise tag or sign to deal.
12. Resign Branch for short money, if not let him walk.
As far as opening night goes, (Home games include: Phins, Jets, Bills, Steelers, Titians, Jags, Philly, and Skins. I would love it to be the Jets, just to let them watch us unveil another banner. Pittsburgh would be awesome for a great game, plus the Blount story-line. Also wouldn't mind Buffalo simply cause it would be sexy rexy first game with the Bills, especially if the Pats decide not to pay Revis and he ends up back with the big blowhard.

For ratings sake, the Steelers or Bills would make the most sense. Steelers are the team who everyone wants to see get their asses kicked, and the Bills...well Rexy probably has a potential Tuesday presser statement already written just in the off chance they get picked to be the lambs to slaughter.

Mark my words, the 49ers will be the first team to win the Super Bowl in their home stadium!
(then I'll shut off my PS3)

Reminds me of the old MLB The Show commercials when they would alternate between making fun of the Pirates having a winning season and the Cubs winning the World Series. Wacky shyyyyyte.

The upside with the Titans being so terrible and only having like four good players is I can't get upset about anyone they let walk or cut, and with all their holes the only bad first round pick they could make is taking a tight end. The great rebuild begins now!

Seriously though, stay home Peyton. It's been fun, but I'd like to win the West before our O-Line gets Alex paralyzed.
Which could still happen regardless.

The bills and jets are said to be going after Revis if he's cut. I HATED him on the jets. All the talent in the world but worried about no one but himself. Guy held out his rookie year. I hate signing cap hell players

Looking through the Raven's list of free agents, there aren't too many guys there that I would really be too hurt if they lost aside from maybe Justin Tucker. Pernell McPhee seems pretty much gone, but I'm not too bothered by that he'll just be another Dannell Ellerbe/Paul Krueger. I would like to keep Forsett for another year or two as a solid guy, give Taliaferro or a drafted back this year some chance to develop behind a vet. Torrey Smith is a bit of a question mark, I really like him as he seems like a nice guy from what I see but I'm not sure if he's gonna be worth what he might get. If the Ravens were to spend on WR, I'd really want them to go out and get someone like Demaryius Thomas, which just isn't Ozzie's style. They'll end up picking up a few cut guys at a nice value so that they get as many compensation picks as possible.
This team has a lot of promise. I can't help but feel that the team was one healthy Jimmy Smith away from beating the Pats and going to the Super Bowl. I'm really excited to see the young players develop more this year. Getting significant and sometimes quality play time out of young guys like CJ Mosley, Brandon Williams, Rick Wagner, Kelechi Osemele, John Urshel, James Hurst, Timmy Jernigan, and I could go on and on. That doesn't even mention players that might blossom a bit after not playing up to potential like Matt Elam (please God), Terrence Brooks, and Arthur Brown. With another year under these guys' belts I think the Ravens could very well be a tough team again next year.

Chargers need a lot of help on both lines before they can compete with the rest of the west. They're literally a nose away from having a STRONG defense.
The offense could use a power guy at RB. We need to get rid of Mathews and sign someone with a reputation like Lynch, then I think they can really put points on the board.

I dont see Revis leaving the Super Bowl champs, I bet they work something out and extend him or they just pick up his 20 million option and then keep working.
Hes comfortable here, hes in the best spot to win a title, makes too much sense.

You think a corner is worth 20 million? It's hard to say what will happen to him. He just got his ring and he is all about the money. It's no shock that New England hates to pay their players so it's s gamble. I just hate his whole attitude.
Any good free agent linemen out there? The jets o line desperately needs some changes.

For sure get rid of Mathews and wow, if the Hawks let him go, I'd love him on our team. A guy that doesn't get hurt, plays hard and will finally bring some media attention to SD

Yeah New England has always had a weak spot at secondary I feel. He def helped it be filled. I just hate his constant hold outs and wanting to be the highest paid player all the time. So annoying. Look at brady, paid his money but also puts his team first and restructures or does what he needs to, Revis never did or never would. I think especially now he has a ring hell def want one more big pay day.

The Eagles have a lot of options going into the draft. Marcus Mariota is the perfect fit for Chip's offense.
I would love to see us get him. Give up 2 years worth of 1st round draft picks and a couple 2 round. I just hope he doesn't turn into an RG3.
Also I hope we can get Byron Maxwell off free agency. We NEED help in our secondary badly.

I dont understand the love for Mariota. His pocket presence is very average at best. Yes he can run around but its been proven the last couple years that isnt going to work in the NFL. People kept seeing what Kaepernick, RG3 and Wilson were doing in 2012 and thought it was the new thing but it was only a flash in the pan. The NFL adapted and completely shut that down. The 49ers had to make a pocket QB out of Kap, and he threw for the most yards of his career. Wilson has adapted as well but his offensive numbers still arent anything special. The guy went to 2 Super Bowls but its his defense and Marshawn Lynch that lead them there. Trent Dilfer could have QB'ed the past 2 Seattle teams. RG3 has refused to adapt and because of that he stays injured and will likely be out of the league in a few years.
I absolutely hate Jamis Winston but if someone can mature him (which I doubt) and keep his head in a playbook, he'll be the better NFL QB...Unless he ends up in Tampa Bay of course.

The way being a mobile QB works is if it isn't expected too often. Like Young, Tarkenton, Cunningham, Rogers, and Wilson. Guys who rely on the run too much have never yet been anything more than a flash in the pan. Vick, Kaep, Tebow, Manziel, Griffin, and plenty of others.

He WAS in the company of Young, Rogers etcetera his first season, a dual threat. It seems like he has regressed and turned more into Tebow this season...not reading coverages and if his first receiver isn't there he tucks and runs like Timmy.
