After watching him in Green Bay the last few years, I'd love for us to find a way to pick up Randall Cobb. But knowing the Chiefs the last few years, we will most likely sign no one helpful, let a few good to great players leave, and then give someone money right before training camp (Looking at you, Houston) Green Bay or San Fran....Cobb is a pretty loyal guy so I completely expect him to stay in GB unless they just dont want him, which would be a huge shocker, but he and his family were Niners fans growing up and he even said before he was drafted that it would be a dream to play in San Fran (where he was rumored to go in all the mock drafts)

Troy Polamalu out in Pittsburgh.
My heart is literally in my stomach. Steelers put out a presser that they're demanding he retire now for the best of his health, or they will release him so in blunt terms, his death isn't on their conscience.
Christ, I was so sad when I read that this morning. Not even asa Steelers fan losing his favorite player, but a man hearing that another man is in that much danger by playing. It's a dangerous game, but to be told that? Man.

He was clearly a shadow of his former self, and the Steelers need to re-load with some youth. These trades the last 24 hours have been exciting. I wish the NFL had more of them. Personally I think it was smart of Philly to unload Shady and his holdout.

It was legit "play and you die, play and it won't be for us." Sure, we're moving on but Troy knew that last season when he was benched for Will Allen. We have Will Allen, Shamarko Thomas, Mike Mitchell and Robert Golden. We reloaded last season. Troy and everyone knew it was coming, but the fact that it wasn't a release like other players do to old vets but a "please don't die" thing...telling.

Well look at Sidney Rice, he is still a very young man and his brain is so messed up he already offered it to science. Normally cuncussion patients don't feel the lasting effects until their late 30s- 40s. He is still in his 20s and retired.

Whether he listens or not, well, they usually don't. Different sport but when John Smoltz refused to retire it was kind of sad. The Braves and the Braves doctors told him that he was done and begged him to retire. He wouldn't listen and stunk up the place in St. Louis and Boston for another year. And barely even could pitch at all, let alone horribly. He got too prideful and selfish. And he ruined going into the HOF with Maddux and Glavine and Cox at the same time.

Injuries pile up, and there's no stopping age. I just worry for the guys head. That's the biggest problem. He can barely walk mind you, but he could always get replacements in the future to fix some of the terrible damage in his joints...but no fixing your brain. It's sad, really.

Love the big man but at this point I fully support the move. He is a true Patriot forever. Glad he got to win another title before it was over. Class act all around.

Crazy off-season. Looks like the Bears are going to trade Marshall now. Possibly to the Cardinals for John Brown and a pick.

I'd be open to the trade rumors going around today that if the Mariota is still on the board at 6, the Eagles trading Foles and picks to move up.
While I think Mariota has a nice upside, the Jets still have plenty of holes to fill and if they can get a sound QB in Foles and a few more picks, I'd be into it.

I'd be over the moon if Tennessee drafted Leonard Williams and signed either Wilfork or Suh. Was typing a reply saying how Foles + picks sounds awesome, but now that I've heard Marshall is a Jet you guys NEED to get a solid QB. Foles slinging it to Harvin and Marshall sounds terrifying.

The fact we offered Cobb more money to come to SF and he decided to take less and stay in GB just kills me...I was really hoping we would get him.

Suh to the Dolphins scares me It's not like this makes your division competitive it hasn't for many many years Patriots will still win the division convincingly like they have for years already

Suh did nothing to really help in the beating the pats gave the lions early in the season. Miami also had a solid defense last year. If anything they should have used that money to help on the other side of the ball.

They're legit. But the Bills are on the cusp of being underdog contenders, and the Fish could be a surprise. I think the Pats win it, but it's a lot closer than first glance, especially if the Pats get the unlucky roll of accidentally losing a division game or two.
