Thanks for the pics... can't believe I'm saying this but the Razor scan isn't that great.

hall was a big dude. the parts chosen by MDT do not do him justice. so he's too small-height and width wise...the painted lips are weird...the hair is weird. also the purple is wrong.
hopefully these things get fixed for the next one.
also and this one bums me out too. the purple is wrong. it matches the macho king figure. razors purple for the look they were going for should be darker and on the cooler side of the color spectrum. this one has too much red

Thanks for the Jakks comparison pics PJ. Junkyard Dog is before my time but I can still see the Mattel headscan is a better likeness than the Jakks one.
Though I still don't think we have a perfect headscan for Scott Hall. I think the R3 scan (which FYI is not identical to the RA sculpt, though they are both based on the same scan data) is the best likeness, but I don't like the expression choice or hairstyle. The CSDA one is the best expression choice in my opinion, but the proportions are off and the likeness isn't quite perfect either. I like the hairstyle for the Mattel version, but the likeness is only average and I don't like the expression choice. I understand what they're going for, but smiling Hall's always just end up looking goofy in figure form and it doesn't suit the character.
I really hope Mattel gives us a new scan for the NWO Hall figure. My choice for expression would be a subtle snarl or slight frown. And obviously I'd want a great likeness and hair down.

That Kofi is my favorite basic of the year so far. The headscan is tippy-top notch for Mattel.

I like your Bret Hart fixups.... it's a great face scan, nearly ruined by the strangely thick hair..... and the pads make a bigger difference than I thought they would
And I'm now getting anxious to get my hands on that Ric Flair - it looks great!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. While the leg sleeves are kind of correct for this era of Bret I do like pads more. And I really like this basic Flair. Now I need the Hogan, Booker and possibly Orton. (Not sold on his scan. It looks a little cartoony to me)

I think Razor looks amazing. I don't really see the gripes that other people are having, save for the lips. I always paint lips on my mattels anyway, so that's an easy fix for me. Granted, I don't have mine yet until Valentines day (thanks to my lovely wife) but I'm super stoked to get him.
I think the body hair looks cool too. I've been watching a bunch of matches on the network in anticipation, and I think it's pretty damn good.
The comparison picture of the jakks and mattel figures kinda speaks for itself, I mean, look at what we came from vs what we have now. Not to mention the fact that we never thought we'd ever get his figure to begin with.
Basically the way I see it is this...If a year ago you'd be asked if you could get a razor ramon figure with a few tiny flaws, or no figure at all, I guarantee we'd all say we'd want the figure. I'm just so excited to have him on my shelf

There was nothing I comlained about that would stop me from getting the Razor figure. And now that he has larger arms I am very happy with him. I just wish they had done it off the bat. Like I said in my first comments about the torso hair I personally think it's to much, but it doesn't ruin the figure. I just think it would have looked better if it was a little lighter.

I don't like the sound of that revision case at all.

I don't know if it was a revision case or just a screwed up one, but I wasn't happy with it. lol
And I should have my Signature Piper tomorrow morning.

Like the JYD. Razor is.. weird. Like many of the elements, but it needed another once over to tune him up. Agreed on Bret. Needed a younger looking sculpt.

They are here anyway.

The tag says $15.99, but Kohl's always has some sort of "sale" so they were $13.49 plus tax. So they were just over $14. Still not that great of a price for a basic.
