Holy that was great. When the Mexican lady came out of the car, I joked to myself "Probably Tuco's mom or something. Nah lol, that'll never happen." Then it ing happened.

Loved it. Beautifully shot and kept the dark humor from Breaking Bad, but still maintaining it's own identity. The dialogue was so good. Wonderfully written. I can't wait to see where it goes. It's off to a great start. ING TUCO!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!

I'm very impressed with the show, I'm happy that it keeps the humor and the seriousness that we expect. I'll see how it is after a few more, hopefully Odenkirk can keep me vested.
I loved the whole "Jimmy from Cicero Illinois". I lived in Cicero and it's a crap hole. Mostly scum, crooks, and whores. So having Saul being from there works. Lol

I'm a tough guy. By that I mean, I've had four open heart surgeries, had to endure a lot of pain, been around tons of gory and gross situations in my life. I rarely, if ever, flinch. However, the whole leg breaking scene in the second episode really got to me. I ended up leaving the room, until he was wheeling them into the hospital.
I've said this on FB, but I'll repeat it here: I really think this could be the most successful TV spin off since Frasier.

I thought it would be hard for this show to grab me the way Breaking Bad did, but God Vince Gilligan is good. Awesome second episode. The dark humor is great, the drama is fantastic.
BIZNATCH!

Home run so far IMO. Its what i wanted and more. I was not expecting anything tied into the Breaking Bad story (character wise or anything) and they're doing it right off the bat, i love it.
I love that they're using the same format of showing things and what leads to them slowly throughout the series.

Word is that the premiere of Better Call Saul was the biggest in cable history True but that was because it was after The Walking Dead. The second episode's ratings and key demo rating was cut in half due to being on its own that night but still it was great. Here is the article btw: www.ew.com/article/2015/02/10/better-call-saul-ratings-drop-record-premiereYou knew the ratings for AMC’s Better Call Saul would drop for the second episode. The premiere aired after Sunday’s midseason return of The Walking Dead which, as we pointed out yesterday, is a bit like running after the Super Bowl of dramas. Plus, Saul scored the Biggest Debut in Cable History and the second hour aired Monday night – an evening AMC doesn’t usually program with original dramas. So a sharp decline was fully expected. The only question was: “By how much?” Here are the results: Better Call Saul had 3.4 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. That’s precisely a 50 percent drop in viewers, along with a 52 percent fade in the demo. It’s always distressing to see so many people walk away from a well-crafted show after giving it a chance. But this is roughly what EW staffers predicted around the virtual water cooler this morning. Fans shouldn’t be concerned since AMC has already picked up Saul for a second season. It will be interesting to see how Saul holds up in the coming weeks, especially since one recurring comment from viewers seems to be that, even among critics who have seen the first three episodes, it’s not yet clear what the show will be like on a weekly basis. ------------------- While that sucks it was still a pretty good rating for any cable show. I could easily see it grow as the season continues. I found both episodes to be really really well made.

I enjoyed the first two episodes...
But I'm still not completely sold that this show was worth making after the greatness that was Breaking Bad. I guess only time will tell.

I finally got that Jimmy/Saul & Chuck are brothers. But what is Chuck's problem? Is he afraid of electricity? Has he gone nuts?

I finally got that Jimmy/Saul & Chuck are brothers. But what is Chuck's problem? Is he afraid of electricity? Has he gone nuts? He has some sort of paranoia I'm sure.. They'll dive deeper into it as the season goes on. But as far as the first 4 episodes, I think it has staying power.. Bob Odenkirk is great as Saul, and he has plenty of capable writers and powers around him to make sure we get atleast 3-4 seasons.
