So the fight of the century...Mayweather versus Pacquiao has been confirmed by a ton of sources for May 2nd, with the only finalization being who gets airing rights between HBO and Showtime. Ladies and gentlemen...what we always wanted, never expected...it's now happening. And I'm losing my ing mind.

Eh, I still feel its a few years too late. Pac Mans couple loses a couple years ago really just brings it down a little bit for me. Ill still watch it but I cant say it will ever be on the level of something like Ali-Frazier, Duran-Leonard, Bowe-Holyfield or even Marquez–Vazquez

I don't care much for this fight now. Paquiao has shown he's human, and I'm sure it'll be a good fight, but it's lost a lot of luster for me.

The fight should have happened a few years ago before Pacquiao was KO'd by Juan Manual Marquez but it's an interesting fight that is worth watching

Floyd said at the nba all star game nothing is signed or done. I don't believe a word he says. I'll listen to his agents and the sports news reporters that are saying the only thing not determined is who gets the airing rights, SHO or HBO.

Yeah. This would've made me buy a boxing PPV if it was in 2013 or so. Now I may go to BWW or something to watch.

Mayweather isn't exciting in the ring and behaves exceptionally poorly outside of it. Serial domestic abuser. Doesn't respect women. I will never pay a penny to support one of his boring fights.

It is too late for me to get overly excited for it, but I am looking forward to it. Much of the luster is off of Pacquiao, and Mayweather isn't getting any younger. He continues to dominate, but in boxing, often times you are great one fight, and father time gets you the next. You never know, but eventually you hit that wall unless you are B. Hopkins. He may have yrs of greatness in him, but history says he doesn't.
The fight could be really good though, because both guys are old and I say on the decline, so you got a situation like Ali/Fraizer III. It isn't like you have one guy in their prime vs an aging guy. (De La Hoya/Chavez, De La Hoya/Mayweather) However, Mayweather's style isn't conducive to a good fight period.
I just think it is 2 guys entering the twilight's of their careers finally fighting. If Floyd wins, he should retire, he has nothing else to prove unless he really wants to cement his legacy and fight Golovkin. That fight would get me excited, though it is prime vs twilight.

I might catch this at a bar if I don't already have plans, but I have very little to no interest in this fight. It falls under the same category for me as Taker/Sting. If it ever happens, it's years too late.

Definitely should've happened a few years ago, but it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Good to see it is official.
While I would have loved to have seen it 5yrs ago, and I think Mayweather is going to easily win, I am still excited for it. I think Pac had a real shot back then, I just don't feel it now. Hope I am wrong.

Got the South Side of Pittsburgh with a ton of bars, but they're crawling nightly with moronic sophomore Pitt students. Ain't nobody got time for them.

90$!? Holy crap. It's not much cheaper to even go out to watch it by the time you pay for food and drinks might as well split it with a few people
