This sucks to read
I was a fan of the show towards the end of the Sheen years. Always watched reruns and stuff. Thought it was really funny. Never gave an Ashton episode a chance. Was Sheen willing to come back for the finale? Were they teasing it only to have the show creator take Spotlight ?
Either way it stinks to see so many who have followed a show for years to be let down by the time it ends. Some of my favorite shows including The Office and Breaking Bad wrapped up not too long ago , and they are both complete after their amazing finales in my mind. Didn't leave me wondering or feeling empty. That's how all great shows should end.

Seemed to me like he just went out of his way to give Charlie one last "f*** you!". Instead of letting it go.
Had it ended with (the fake) Charlie knocking on the door and Jon Cryer answering the door I think it would have been much better.

This was the title card from the finale, I regret ever feeling a bit sorry for Lorre during Sheen's Tiger Blood days
"I know a lot of you might be disappointed that you didn' t get to see Charlie Sheen in tonight' s finale. For the record, he was offered a role. Our idea was to have him walk up to the front door in the last scene, ring the doorbell, then turn, look directly into the camera and go off on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse. He would then explain that these dangers only applied to average people. That he was far from average. He was a ninja warrior from Mars. He was invincible.
And then we would drop a piano on him.
We thought it was funny.
He didn't.
Instead, he wanted us to write a heart warming scene that would set up his return to primetime TV in a new sitcom called The Harpers starring him and Jon Cryer."

That show was so Charlie Sheen so I stopped watching it after he died episode and I saw bits and parts over the last few years and it was painful to watch as it was once a couldnt stop watching show for me and when I see it in reruns they now try to run one Charlie and then a Walden episode after and I quickly change the channel .

Not trying to start anything here, but I never understood why anyone liked this show. I never cared for the show either

Thats hollyweird pretty rough and regardless of what went down Sheen made that show and him and cryer were amazing together

Of course Lorre wanted to treat him like crap and show him hes still the boss ! Not defending Charlie but him and Cryer in those roles as brothers was something special and to be fair the first 8 years were very well written to .
