Oh my gosh, I think I am sick to my stomach. lol....So, I just added up all my order totals for the last year. I placed my first order ever at RSC on 3/14/14. Since then, I have spent $1,389.54 on there site. That's about $115 per month. It has been nice not having to hunt retail this last year, but I think I better cut back a bit this year. lol
I have recieved 74 figures from RSC. That works out to $18.78 per figure.
Anyways, to make this a discussion, anyone else drop over a grand this year at RSC?

I have at least 1 of every character Mattel has made so far so I am all caught up now. For sure will have to slow down this year. lol

A lot of good stuff at good prices went up on eBay this past weekend. The nice thing about spending your money on figures compared to a lot of other hobbies is that you do have something tangible to show for your money, and you can usually make that money back if you really want or need to. So just think of it this way: You didn't spend $1,389.54 on figures. You put $1,389.54 away for a rainy day. That's being very responsible!

I'm right there with you brother @ $1387 for the past year. But I feel it's worth it. No need to go out hunting driving around coming up empty. I have been able to get every figure I have wanted with out hassle using them.

That is true....Might not be able to get all of the money back if I needed to, but I could get a good chunk back. Can't say that about some other hobbies. Thanks for making me feel better about my decisions. lol Now, I just need to cut out the retail buying completely. I'm sure I spent another $1,300 at retail stores buying figures I probably could have lived without. If I didn't like it enough to pre-order it, I probably don't need it.

I think I've spent about 12000 USD since May on Action figures.... but I do have some AFA 90 Star Wars figures that I hope will ramp up with Episode 7!!!
I would say what I've spent at Ringside.....but I won't, as I am banned :-)

I've bought things sporadically from RSC but never $1000. They need to start a rewards program

I have a pretty good system in place for new releases. They fall into one of three tiers: Gotta Have It NOW - Ringside Pre-orders Definitely Want It - Retail, preferably Amazon Would Like to Have It - Retail sales, online sales, Amazon Warehouse Deals, loose on eBay, etc. For example, Elite 33: Reigns and Rollins - Ringside Pre-Order JYD - Amazon Cesaro - Had him in my sights for $14 shipped, but those aforementioned eBay auctions on older stuff I was looking for started popping up.

That works on paper for me, but if I find myself at Target searching for lets say a Batista figure.....I don't find it, so instead I end up buying a Daniel Bryan figure. Then the next place I go, I find Batista. So, not I just spent $40 on figures when I was only planning on spending $20. Just the way I am. No self control. If I see it, I think I have to have it.

Looking at totals is never a good idea. Not unless you absolutely have to...

As long as you enjoy them, that's all that matters.
I'm worried for my marriage if my wife and I were to sit down and calculate how much I've spent on WWE Mattel figures since 2010...

$1583.60 from last year just from ringside. Does not include wwe stuff from brick and mortar.
I would probably be really scared if you add in all my collectible stuff... marvel legends, transformers, motu classics, tmnt, twd, game of thrones, and more.......

Thats about how i do it, if i HAVE to have it, i pay a premium to get it online If its ok i probably want it, i hunt at retail, which is where i am at with e33 shield, waiting to find them at retail

I've spent about $800 in the last month thanks to Paypal Credit. But, I've paid back a good portion of that already through eBay sales. My goal is to pay off the entire debt with stuff I'm selling without actually taking anything out of my bank account.

Hell no. I can find everything I want at retail way cheaper. The only thing I've ever bought directly from them is exclusives.
