I wish Wicked Cool Toys got on this bandwagon and made some higher quality belts and sold them all in a set. If they can make niche things like authentic scale rings and steel cages, I'd like to see belts that don't have any compromises. Make it online only if needed, but these are the types of things collectors want (or would like even if they don't think they want it lol). Mattel does a really good job with the titles in Elites, but I can still see some issues.
1. The belts don't curve on the main plate. This throws off the look.
2. Current belts have stupid prongs on the other side, which throws off the fit. Get rid of these through some genius engineering I don't get paid enough to think of lol.
3. Scaling is a bit off. The first thing I noticed about the Divas and US titles were that they are too big. Thankfully the Cruiserweight title that came with Rey Mysterio's flashback is scaled to fit the smaller figures very well, so I'm not sure if that's the direction they're going in the future, but those other two titles I mentioned are wrong sizes and should be smaller as well. On the same token, I'd like to see belt extenders. Mark Henry can't wear a damn thing around his waist.
4. I'd like some kind of leather material for the strap so they'd naturally hang on a figure's shoulder. I don't think fake leather has those properties, as you can see by looking at replica human sized titles. They just awkwardly stay stiff. For figures, it throws off display when a title is draped over their shoulders. I always have to fasten it first. Work on this, please.
5. Better paint application. My IC title got pretty chipped up with normal handling and no play. Hopefully for a higher price the paint would be more durable in addition to being accurate. The NXT Women's title that comes with Paige looks a tad off due to the colors used on the studs.
Those are my suggestions. I'd pay $29.99 or $39.99 for a good set of belts like this. Then they could maybe release themed packs, like WCW, ECW, Attitude Era, Golden Age (Winged Eagle FTW), etc. Tons of possibilities here.

People still complaining. These belts from Mattel are multiple times better that what we had from Jakks. With regards to point number 4, having these small toy belts for figures fitted with fake soft leather won't be good in the long run as the material might break apart due to the climate. The plastic material they are using now is better and more durable and will last longer. Speaking of figure toy belts, when in the world is Mattel going to do the current WWE WHC network logo belt???

Probably with the next elite lesnar. Since he's the only one to hold it so far.

I have the ring of the current belt design with the scratch logo like the one that was used at WM 30. Believe me, the figure belt is WAAAYY more accurate. However, I totally understand what you mean and would love to see figure belts done with metal plates, leather straps, etc. - I'd pay more for that. is it even possible to do what i said? The plates and "strap" (the actual ring part) are all one piece, so you'd have to cut them out somehow.

The funniest part about this is the fact that the toy version looks better. And plus, it would cost you an assload of money to buy a figure with SOLID GOLD on his accessory.

That ring is overpriced to begin with. The marginal cost exceeds the marginal benefit

The Mattel belts ARE fine. By far the best figure belts I've ever seen, but they aren't perfect. They're fine for what they are, but I'd still like to see an alternative -- which is why I suggested WCT make them. Mattel can still pack Elites with their belts, but for everyone else who wants better looking figure belts, it would be a wonderful option. Hell, I remember being obsessed with having better quality title belts dating back to the Hasbro days. My old WWF ring came with the winged eagle and it was a piece of black and silver garbage. The paint wore off and my dog ate it. Ever since then I've either been making my own titles or putting up with what companies gave me. Considering I finally get entrance gear with figs, have a ring to scale with actual ring skirts and interchangeable ropes, I would think better belts wouldn't be too much to ask for in 2015. My world isn't going to end if they don't get made, but for things like the updated WWE title I'd rather not have to buy an entire new figure for that. I'd rather just buy an updated set of WWE titles and replace everything in one go instead of buying new figures for them. Of course that's probably done on purpose -- it is a business, but it still sucks lol.

Metal on leather would be amazing. The Mattel belts are really nice, but I have gotten some that are pretty messed up. I seriously doubt they would come out with better belts, because the Mattel ones sell a lot of figures. I know I am more likely to buy a figure that has a belt. I would pay quite a bit though if they did make something better.

This was the only belt I had for a long time as a kid. So I guess I can't really complain.
