I can't believe people enjoyed this.. It tickles the nostalgia and is pretty cool at moments, but it's laughably bad.

I was 13 when Power Rangers hit over here. I despised it then and Good Grief I despise it now. I cannot however fail to admire the longevity of this property.

This was crap. There's reimagining something, and then there's destroying any semblance of the original product.
And can we get off the Tommy high horse. He's not the be all-end all of power rangers.

I did. It was terrible. But then again I just turned 40. But I did make a lot of money in the early 90's selling the first few waves of figures they released. You're 63!?

I think he meant he just turned 40 in current time, not when Power Rangers started. Meaning he was in his 20s when Power Rangers were popular. Which I can only imagine what that show looked like to a 20 year old in the mid 90s haha. I only watched Power Rangers for a very short period of time. Like 94-95ish and then I only saw the first movie. I wasn't super into it but I liked it for that brief period. Just not something that ever stuck with me and I was into all kinds of other stuff/shows at that age too. That's when I really started to get passionate about wrestling and that obviously did stick with me. Probably why it's very easy for me to enjoy something like this video. I have enough base knowledge to get what is going on but I wasn't ever passionate enough to get held up on every detail of it. I thought what JDF said was pretty spot-on in terms of this video. I think it applies to pro wrestling too. There needs to be a happy medium that appeals to fans who watched when they were kids and are now grownup but it also needs to be functional for kids too since that's the main demographic. In other words, this thing is pretty awesome in a vacuum but as a full length film it probably wouldn't work on a mass appeal level.

I kind of wanna take this approach, and do a Double Dragon fan flick out of it. Anyone dig the potential in that?
*Edit* Also, Saban has had it removed from both Vimeo, and YouTube.

Show of hands: who else thinks the Beek from the Creek made zero effort in contacting the former Rangers (Amy Jo would've said no, that's understandable) to see if they'd like to take part? JDF is off making Power Rangers stuff with Bat in the Sun. I'm sure he would have said no, too. Jason got fat, and is a paramedic on the East Coast. Zack, and Billy do the Con thing. Trini has been dead about 20 years. So -- you're probably right. Trini died in 2001
