For one thing, Meryl Streep is really boring and gets high off the smell of her own farts. I actively avoid her movies regardless of the story, director, writer, producer or cast. For another, seriously? Power Rangers? I can't believe there are fans of that show. They're are some fans who grew up watching that show that go to the Power Morphicon convention. Power Rangers has a target demographic of a 5 year old kid. Most people who grew up watching the show will have zero interest in the movie Judging by what I've seen from Facebook and Twitter, you could not be more wrong.

Yeah I'd go see a Power Rangers movie targeted towards a younger audience, even if I'm in my 30's. I won't go see it if it resembles anything like that garbage fan film. But I'd totally see a MMPR movie.. ALL DAMN DAY. Especially if it's going to have Chloe Moretz or other well known actors.. If it's not just thrown together and terrible. Bring THAT on. Because as crazy as it seems, the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers have the potential to be really good fun family action/adventure.. They could rehash old TV story lines in a trilogy.. Deal with Rita, deal with Tommy, and then have the third movie be his transformation into the White Ranger. There is a ton of potential for full length Power Ranger series. And I don't want any type of Star Trek reboot stuff where the old kids have a time warp connection to the new generation.. I want it to ignore the nostalgia audience grab. And just make a fun film based on the original characters. The Power Ranger's don't need realism and grit. It doesn't have to be dark and edgy.. I mean doon't treat the audience like idiots, but keep it simple.. Anyone could sit down and map out a dark, twisted, sick intergalactic struggle involving teens fighting between right and wrong, good and evil.. But what the for? It's called MIGHTY MORPHIN' POWER RANGERS.. That sh*t ain't dark no matter how you sell it.. That's one of the reasons that fan film was so terrible, you can't be a ruthless assassin wearing that costume and saying "it's morphin' time".

I got a feeling that a MMPR reboot would almost have to be similar the Transformers reboot. Not my cup of tea if they do it, but Moretz alone makes it worth at least giving it a try. Kick ass actress, pun intended.

Also, keep Jason David Frank as far away from it as possible.

While I still think the fan film was a fun little take on it (not one I'd like to see a Feature of, but fun stand alone)...I do agree, entirely, with this sentiment. A Feature MMPR could be done splendidly, and doesn't have to be 'real' or 'gritty' or any of that Dark Knight rub off nonsense. One of the best things I try to maintain in every project I make is the influence the 80s/90s had on me, and my desire to make movies. Somewhere along the lines, we've lost that inability to both tell a quality story, with a good message, AND be entertaining. I want a PG/MAYBE soft PG13 MMPR series. It doesn't have to be bloody, full of foul language, depressing situations, etc. Just have some fun with it. I swear if a studio were to announce they'd be remaking Good Burger tomorrow, the movie would start with one of them dying from food poisoning, and the other battling with the decision to go vegan, and to find a job so he could stop selling burgers.

And you're a nice, respectable young lady, and he's a gay guy, cause we're all us, YEAH!... God, I hate entertainment, these days.

I'm pretty sure Keenan influenced Lorne Michaels some to not sign Kel Mitchell as a part of Saturday Night Live back when Keenan first started on the show. Kel has spoke about it, but it's not a fun story to dig into.

I'm still mad at the MMPR for replacing the TMNT in the hearts and minds of children back in the 90's.

I'd love to see him left out entirely, just to see if it'll make him humble. Guy thinks he is Power Rangers, and he needs to be taken down a few notches.

I never paid attention to his interviews or anything, so I wasn't aware of an ego. In that case, it would be pretty funny. I could see where he gets it from though, I think he's been in nearly every rendition of the show.

He was in MMPR, Zeo, very briefly in Turbo, then he did that one off Forever Red during Wild Force. From there, he had one extra season in Dino Thunder which he professes to have done as a favor, and his two minute spot in the finale of SMF. I'm not about to add it all up, but I'd wager he's been not on the show more than he has.

I was only 5 or so when it was out, after that I just grew out of it. I think I watched Dino Thunder a few times and just figured he was there forever. Personally, I'd rather them bring back Zack for the movie. Apparently he dances now, though.

Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, the show that all the footage was lifted from, was already the sixteenth version of Super Sentai. Think about that - what would eventually become Power Rangers had been around since 1975 in Japan before ever landing stateside in '93 with MMPR. As for the movie, I dunno. Other than maybe David Fielding or Richard Horvitz in a Zordon or Alpha 5 role, I'd just as soon have them stay away from the OG cast and go with a whole new group playing the "teenagers with attitude". Some of these guys are susceptible to MASSIVE egos, JDF and Steve Cardenas in particular, and it'd probably be best for their own bizarre interpersonal relationships of they're all just kept at arms length. David Yost has alluded to the fact that he'd probably never suit up again. Other than the little bit she did to push her album recently, Amy Jo Johnson essentially wants nothing to do with the franchise. Walter Jones seems content doing the con circuit, Thuy Trang is dead, and Austin St. John seems to be moving on to different things. I'd just let the sh*t storm lie keep their involvement at the maximum minimum. I should disclaim at this point that I'm a GIANT PR nerd.

I'm still mad at the MMPR for replacing the TMNT in the hearts and minds of children back in the 90's. So was I when it happened..... but the Turtles have more than proved that they're here to stay. They have joined the ranks of Superman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Batman etc...They too are now connecting with every new generation.
