Yes i like that idea i dont feel he has paid the dues enough to main event wrestlemania but i would still love to see brock lesnar beat him and keep the belt.

Definitely. I would have loved to see Reigns face Rusev, end the streak and win the US Title. I said many times that's what I was hoping to see after he got hurt and returned. Too bad it didn't happen. He would have been extremely easy to rally behind in that matchup, at least for me.

To be fair, it worked for Goldberg. that is a fair point and that was 1997 and when the WWE tried to do that again with Ryback, the fans just chanted "Gold-Berg" Goldberg was in the perfect place at the perfect time. It's one of those things you really only can do once. And the WWE hasn't even come close to making Reigns like Goldberg. Goldberg had more charisma in his right arm than Reigns. Not having that; Ryback got the biggest pop on the roster til WWE ing buried him.

It's harder to get stuff over these days. Gimmicks that get no reaction like Bo Dallas or Adam Rose (sorry guys, I love you but let's be real) would have been huge in the Attitude Era. I am positive. When Wyatt debuted, what did they fans do? Chant Husky Harris. Lord Tensai debuts? Chant Albert. I forgot who but a wrestler said that it's just harder to get people over these days because of the changed perspectives. I hate when people do that it's like when someone calls a wrestler by there indy name and refuses to call them by there WWE Name its such a smartass move.

No. Rusev should still go over.
Reigns hasn't done jack crap as a singles wrestler. He was in the Shield, got hurt, and immediately came back to a main event push. Wins over Kane and Big Show don't mean anything. EVERYONE has beaten them. In pretty I even have at some point.

Sounds good to me, but I guess it's better for him to win at Wrestlemania and then Rollins cashes in on him.

Absolutely; I see nothing wrong with Reigns vs Rusev and the wonders it would've done for him to end Rusev's undefeated streak and win the U.S. championship...
Make that mean something again and then move onto Lesnar, when the time is right.

Any wrestler in line to get a push really should work through the ranks.. Even if only a 6 month plan from the lowest title to the big prize.. I'd rather any future main eventer start out as a successful mid card worker first, than a complete bypass of every thing straight to the main event of Wrestlemania.

Reigns pins Lesnar clean. Has all about 5 minutes to celebrate, and Rollins comes down, takes the belt off him and they spend half the year feuding with Reigns finally winning out.

Bingo. Give me a reason as a fan to like the guy--while Lesnar is the bigger name Rusev garners more heat. It's easier for a guy like Roman to be a good guy when paired up against Rusev (who'll make him look like a million bucks too) than struggling to hold his own on the mic against Heyman for five weeks and suddenly beat the biggest name in the company outta nowhere.

I think Reigns well either be all worn out after a hard battle with Lesnar or Lesnar will attack him afterwards, either way I see a fresh Rollins leaving with the title. I'm hoping WWE at least goes this way to swerve the fans a bit and plus it's a perfect opportunity to start a good feud too.

I fully expect the Orton/Rollins match to happen really early in the show, maybe even first. Then yeah, he'll be fresh by that point in time. And I do think it goes a long way to satisfy fans across the board. I'm totally fine with this happening. Reigns gets the rub of being the one to beat the one in 21-1...but a long feud with Rollins could work VERY well for both of them. And it would give Reigns the time to make up for he lost in developing, before he actually carries the title. Potentially Reigns/Rollins feud for the WWEWHC...Ambrose possibly being the IC Champ... SHIELD has established themselves, within the company. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Him missing those few months really did a whole lot of damage to his development, prior to getting this set up. He's proven that he CAN put on a good match, but he still needs work. That would have benefited him, immensely.

He's going to make a great heel. A true heel. No one will like him. Not the smarks. Not the kids. He'll be the first true heel in forever.

He's going to make a great heel. A true heel. No one will like him. Not the smarks. Not the kids. He'll be the first true heel in forever. I feel like that might happen. Roman Reigns' career right now is alot like Dwayne's was when he first started, people knew he was being groomed to be the next big thing because of his look and heritage. EVERYONE knew that when Rocky Maivia debuted.. And because of that it made every single person hate him. Thus he became The Rock and was one of the greatest heels of all time in his prime.. I'm not saying this is what's going to happen with Roman, but there are definitely similarities.. The only difference is that Dwayne oozed charisma and personality, it came completely natural to him.. It does not come natural to Roman, and because he's not well rounded on the mic or in the ring he's exposed in this situation. The Rock was not good in the ring. But we all looked past that because he could talk.. Roman doesn't stand out on either front.. He's not ready for the ultimate spotlight.

Absolutely, it changes the complexion of everything. People don't even hate lesnar like they do Rusev. This is a much more fitting heel/face situation that would make reigns red hot getting the victory.

I agree. It's not that people don't like Reigns, it's just he shouldn't be main eventing Wrestlemania yet. This.

Even agaist Cena would've been good, not the guy who broke the ing streak. For me, it's not the fact that he's facing Brock, because I actually want to see the match. It's the fact he's going to beat him and kill everything that has been built up for the last year. If it was any other time and under any other circumstances, I'd be fine with it. Just not the main event of Wrestlemania for the title after Brock ended the streak.

Of course a slow build would help him get over.

Just not the main event of Wrestlemania for the title after Brock ended the streak. In what could potentially be Brock's last ever WWE match. If they don't let someone beat him, the victories over Cena, the streak ending and him being built up as the most dominant superstar ever is all gone to waste imo. And if it was someone like Cena or Triple H that finally beat him people would moan they're not building new guys. I have absolutely no problem with it being Reigns at all.
