Holy A $5000 deposit for ring gear That would've been so friggin epic. So right after mania in 2012 would've put us where exactly as far as other baby faces and storylines ?

I heard that episode this morning, glad he was able to get together with the Cheap Heat guys. It's a really good listen. This post doesn't do it justice.
It sounds really similar to the Flair version of AJ Styles.

How complicated could his gear be? Or was it for 52 different sets like how he had that many combinations prior to his rap makeover?

I'm assuming since the Rock/Cena match gained so much public attention and they knew they were going to have the rematch, they wanted an actual heel in it without turning potential newcomers away by having the public figure in the Rock as the "bad guy."
Literally the only thing I can think of, doubt it would have lasted long anyway.

Yeah i guess he would've turned after being laid out by Lesnar at Extreme Rules, i wonder what that would've been like.

Hopefully this heel attire will see the light of day, if its him using it or they put it on wwe.com in another set of attire concepts, but I really want to see this.
I remember reading on here that Papa Shango was meant to return during the attitude era and wear a mask, which was already bought and made, love to see that too

I could never imagine seeing Cena in the kind of trunks HHH wears. I would assume if he ever switched to trunks it would be the kind he wore when he first showed up in WWE. Seeing Cena in anything outside of cargo shorts or jorts just seems strange.

I always felt that post WrestleMania 28 would have been a good time to make the turn. He could have had a slow burn stemming from Kane's "embrace the hate" stuff and the soul crushing loss to the Rock. Brock Lesnar returns and the fans cheer for Brock, hurting Cena even more. Not only does Brock kill him but the fans enjoy it. Eventually, he would turn heel.
