With Brandi, the awkwardness with Mosier. With Affleck, his busy as hell schedule. I mean they are long shots, but it's all possible. Affleck may just have a cameo. Oh man.. Can you elaborate?

According to a couple SModcast episodes, Mosier was into her and they spent a lot of time together working out and hanging out. Well she was married at the time. Mosier asked her out on a date and it made it awkward so she distanced herself from him.

It's not like Brandi had a HUGE role in the first one, anyways. At worst, just keep Mosier off her balls. Affleck will show up in there somewhere. I'm betting anything.

I am interested to see how the sequel turns out. I think it will illustrate an interesting contrast between Smith's early career and the filmmaker he has matured into. I say this because as much as I love Mallrats, I find the dialogue to be pretentious. The vocabulary, specifically, doesn't fit like it does in his other films. It makes the film feel stilted. It's as if Smith was trying too hard to craft a smart screenplay in all the wrong ways. But regardless, I love Mallrats--90's nostalgia all day!--and I cannot wait for the sequel.

I'm sure Mosier doesn't care about her anyways as he is happily married. Affleck might be in a quick jail scene if anything else. Maybe teaming with Rooker for revenge or something over the top.

LaFours is back!
It's now been updated with more cast, leaving FOUR to go. Hamilton, Brandi, Gale Hicks, and Ivannah maybe? Or Mosier as Roddy?

I'm saying Roddy, Brandi, Shannon, and Gill. Fan Boy and Steve Dave being two of the four wouldn't surprise me at all though.

Honestly I think Mosier, Walt, and Bryan aren't included in the four. I think they will be in the movie, but I don't think he'd make a big deal about them signing on.

Yeah I hope that's the case, honestly. It's like "yeah, cool" but I think you assume they'll be in it regardless since those are his boys. I don't think any of them would have much beyond a cameo anyway.

Sorry to double post, but Smith announced at C2E2 before officially announcing it today, that Brandi will be returning.
16 down, 2 to go.

The original wasn't even that funny so I'm not too fussed.

The thing about Kevin Smith movies is that it's audience, unless it's a Jay n' Silent Bob flick, is only so big as it is. The movies don't make very much money, but they're even cheaper to make. So it's relatively easy for them to get financed n' made because you have a built in audience. I'm stoked as hell to see these movies getting made. The world has had a severe lack of View Askew.
Give me Mallrats 2, Clerks 3, another Jay and Silent Bob movie, or even a new concept all together set in the View Askewniverse. I'll watch it. If they don't go over so hot in the theatres, which, be honest, is basically all of Kevin's movies, then put them on Netflix. Or do it like the Super Groovy Cartoon Movie n' tour it around the country and then release it on home media. There's all kinds of ways to make a movie these days.
I love that world and it's characters. All of them. I grew up with them. I'll gladly watch geriatric Jay n' Silent Bob peddle drugs in a nursing home as I get wrinkly myself.
