Great thread idea.
Nets def. Pistons; Game 4 OF THE 2003 ECF: The Nets were riding high on a major winning streak during the playoffs. We were up 3-0 in this series against the top seed in the East. I had this game on VHS and would watch it over and over. Just the way that everything came together was great. Jason Kidd goes down with a leg injury and I think our Finals hopes are over but he gets up and finishes the game.
Cardinals def. Nationals; Game 5 of the 2012 NLDS: I've never been more crushed by a sporting event in my life. I knew that the Cardinals were tough and I was nervous throughout the series but I watched the lead slip away and when the Cards took the lead I just stared at my TV in disbelief. I watched the Nats go down in the bottom half and didn't move a muscle until about 20 minutes after the game. Then I went out and boozed.
I'll update later with more.

Nice idea for a thread. Mine would be 12/23/2013. The final game at Candlestick Park. 49ers vs Falcons on Monday Night. Had grown up going to games at the stick my whole life so knowing this was going to be the final game there I spent the $800 on tickets and had to be there. Tailgated as usual which was bittersweet knowing it was the last time at that Park. The game itself was almost surreal. Such a roller coaster. Then it ending and sealing the deal with Bowmans pick six. It was unbelievable. Crowd was insane! I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Will never forget that game.

2012 UEFA Champions League final As a huge fan of Chelsea and a hater of Bayern Munich this was like a dream come true especially after how arrogant Bayern acted. When Drogba scored that beautiful header to bring Chelsea back I had a huge mark out moment. Then Robben missed that penalty in extra time and Drogba scored the deciding penalty in the shootout. What an evening that was!

Colts vs Bucs - 2003 i think. came all the way back to beat us. to quote Al Michaels "How crazy is this"
as a team and a fanbase we didnt recover that year.
Baseball - id say ALCS Red Sox vs Yankees Yanks in 2003 and Sox in 2004 . that was baseball at its pinnacle
Basketball - Jordan vs Bird

I have an old one. LA Rams vs NY Giants, 1989 playoffs, winner plays SF 49ers. "Flipper" Anderson makes a catch on the final play and just keeps running. The Giants win the Super Bowl the following year, but this team was probably better.

There's a lot of games I've tried to flush away from my memory by drinking copious amounts of liquor. So I wont talk about those.
I do and will always remember..
Game 7 2014 World Series. Bumgarner in relief on minimal rest throwing a 2 hit 5 inning save and the error by Blanco that damn near cost them the series.
2008 Wimbledon Final. Nadal proves he was more than just a clay specialist by dethroning Federer in an epic 5 hour battle for tennis supremacy.
Game 4 ALCS Red Sox vs Yankees. Honestly, I could also say game 7 2003 but after the Sox beat them in extras there was a belief that they could actually pull off impossible.
Game 7 1991 World Series - Still the greatest series ever and the one that made me a baseball fan. I still remember sitting in front of the TV indian leg style with my dad behind me being in awe. Perhaps understanding for the first time what made sports so great.
US vs Canada 2010 Olympic Hockey final- I've seen better games but few with this much emotion.
Game 4 2011 Mavericks vs Blazers - Brandon Roy leads an improbable comeback to win the game scoring 18 in the 4th. This was after Roy had blown out his knees and was relegated to the bench. It was essentially his swan song. The last great thing he did. Damn I miss him, he was too good to go that soon.
There's tons of others too but this is what currently stands out.

The one in my signature.
Story goes I had tickets to game 5 and game 7 of that series. The last year the Red Wings would be in the West w/ the Hawks (until further realignment...eventually...). Come game 5, Blackhawks were down in the series 3-1. I sat next to some cool Wings fans and we spoke. They felt confident... Hawks won game 5, and I still thought I'd be getting my $ refunded for game 7...
Well, it went 7. I didn't see that coming. Lots of money out the wallet, but 110% worth it.
From the "no goal" call... overtime... and then of course they won the cup that year again over BOS... But my favorite part was the rival Red Wings losing and going East. I'll miss those playoff matchups... hopefully they'll face us in the cup one of these days. Not so sure it'll be soon with Babcock going to MON now...
Still- it was easily the most exciting game ever... game 5 was fun too, but game 7 is one of those things I won't forget.
I also saw some real fun Cubs games over the years, but nothing much was on the line. Their first crosstown vs the BoSox was really a fun series. I was at the AJ/Barrett game, and that was fun. Etc. But the photo in my signature is the best game I've ever been to- ever. Will be hard to trump.

Ohio State vs Michigan State 2014
The beginning of our run for the championship. I watched it in a packed bar in Columbus, going into that game not expecting the best outcome but then outplaying the Spartans the entire game. Voice was gone by the end of the night.

The 2006 Stanley Cup Finals game 1 and game 7 between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Edmonton Oilers. My 2 favorite teams. Being from Edmonton, I had not even been born yet the last time the Oilers won the cup (born October of 1990) so the excitement in the city was ridiculous. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was talking about and cheering for the Oilers.

Mine are more recent stuff haha but...
NFC Championship Game 2015 - Despite watching Wilson throw interception after interception, after interception, after interception, I still believed that they would pull off a comeback. Everything from the fake field goal to Wilson's Hail Mary 2 point conversion, and finally the game winning TD pass made it such a great emotional roller coaster ride.
Super Bowl XLVIII - Watching the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl was just magical. Everyone expected a tight game and even though it ended up being a blowout, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time because I was so excited to see them finally hoist that trophy up.
Super Bowl XLIX - The final play that nearly had me in tears haha. It was a great game and that catch by Jermaine Kearse towards the end of the game was incredible but that final pass play stung so hard. It felt like the Spurs/Heat Game 6 only worse.
WC First Round Game 7 2015 - Spurs and Clippers just went back and forth the whole entire game. Just unbelievable how many lead changes and ties they had. And of course the game/series was sealed when Paul hit the final shot with 1 second left. Crazy, crazy game.

Super Bowls 41 and 42. 41 because the Colts finally won, and 42 because of 18-1.
The 2013 Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn. That final play was so unbelievable and surreal. I don't think that'll ever happen again in a game with those stakes.
2014 Wild Card game between Chiefs and Colts. The best comeback victory I've ever seen from the Colts. Shame they lost to the Pats two games later.

The game where the Philadelphia Eagles fans threw snowballs at Santa Claus. I wasn't alive when that happened. But it's a game that gives Philly fans a bad rep

Now, first let me say, I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan, a Philadelphia Flyers fan, a Philadelphia Phillies fan, and a Philadelphia Sixers fan. I never watched an AFL game prior to this game, nor have I watched it since this game. The only reason why I caught it on TV on this fateful day, which also happen to be my Dad's Birthday, was because the doctor delivering my Son had it on TV in the delivery room. As Jon Bon Jovi and Ron Jaworski were hoisting up the Foster Trophy for the Philadelphia Soul, I was holding my Trophy, my Baby for the first time. I was so proud on so many levels that day. I told my Queen that our Prince is the luck that Philadelphia needed to start the city's Championship run. A few short months later, the Philadelphia Phillies win the World Series!!
