Really no reason this couldn't have been in the regular elite line.
Also it's not even his defining moment which is obviously the wrestlemania ladder match.

They (Macho/Sting/Flair/Hogan/Razor/Warrior) were/are probaby DM first because of who they are. Signing them to contracts probably cost more than others so their first figures are DM to make back some of their contract cost.

^ Makes sense. I anticipate plenty of each of them now that Mattel has those rights. We've already seen plenty of Warrior and Macho figures so far, and Hogan and Flair are at 4 and 3 apiece (I believe) at this point. You KNOW they'll make Hall, and/or other Razor attires. And Sting has had so many looks to choose from, they'd be fools not to capitalize.
My guess is we'll be seeing any/all of them as Flashback Elites eventually. Probably more Heritage basics too.

I really hope the Basics are reserved for the less popular colors. Razor should be good for at least one more Elite figure, right?
For Sting, he's probably the one character I'll get every figure so I'm hoping for more Elites than Basics.

Guys like Hogan and Flair translate well to basics because of their fairly plain attire. Sting will likely get basics for his current look and probably at least one other former appearance. If they do a basic Razor/Hall, I'd kinda almost hope for nWo street gear to be honest, since he wouldn't have to be doing a lot of wrestling in that gear. But I prefer Elites 100%. The only figs in my collection that are basics are figures where I like the attire, or figures who I missed in Elite form, like Mr. Perfect.

Good call. I'd be up for the first round of nWo guys (Hogan, Hall, Nash, Syxx, Giant, Vincent and Buff)in T-shirts and black pants in Basic form.

Maybe a basic Diamond Studd or BP with Page.

That BP could be fun. Speaking of, would Virgil work better as an Elite or just fine in a BP with another suited DiBiase?

A basic BP Virgil would be enough for me, because I just display in basic vanilla stances. So basic or Elite look the same on my shelves.

I think Virgil would look best in a chair at a table looking surly at a comic con somewhere. But if you're talking nWo backup guys, I don't have a personal preference. Most nWo members I don't have interest in. Hall would be essential, a new Nash (since I missed the other Elite one) and Hollywood Hogan would be the only nWo guys I'd want figures of. Unless you want to count Wolfpac Sting in red.

E30 Hawk arms match Razor's skin tone. Looks so much better with bigger arms. I plan on taking a few Razor Ramons apart, spraying the trunks, boots & knee/elbow pads with my airbrush & creating my own decals so I have Razor in various attires. A real tiny gold chain would also look pretty cool. & shiney material cloth vests
