I have high hopes for Straight Outta Compton. Script could be good. I MAY give it a chance. Scarface was already a remake, so...not sweating it.
That said, not sure what he's gonna be OG about. It's 2015, nobody stresses over coke, anymore.

I'm gonna catch hell but...
I never liked the original. I found it incredibly drawn out and overrated.

It's like getting Tom Hanks to play MLK in a movie. No thanks.

I'm gonna catch hell but... I never liked the original. I found it incredibly drawn out and overrated. But we got Razor Ramon. That alone has to make Scarface a legendary film by default... Not that big of a Scarface fan either. It's like a 3/5 stars for me. I don't think a remake is going to accomplish anything earth shattering. Between shows like Breaking Bad and wildly original tales like The Counselor, they've kind of done it all already, or at least some variation of it. So they can make this, and I probably won't see it and I'll just continue L-I-V-I-N man.

I had no idea the Pachino version was a remake. Has anyone seen the original?

Eh, I like Scarface (especially the last like 15-20 minutes with the gunfight), so I'll probably check it out. I'll wait until I see a trailer first though and then make my decision.

I had no idea the Pachino version was a remake. Has anyone seen the original? I have seen bits and pieces of the 1932 version. It was okay to say the least. It had Boris Karloff so I am not complaining.
