April 21, 2002 | Kemper Arena, Kansas City, Missouri Official Theme Song - "Live Again" by Sevendust "Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and we welcome you to WWF Backlash, the first pay-per-view since Wrestlemania, and tonight, we've got not one, but two World Championship matches. In our first, The Undertaker goes one on one with The Rock for Smackdown's WWF Championship, and in our second, Triple H goes one on one with Chris Jericho for Raw's World Heavyweight Championship. I'm JR, alongside my broadcast colleague Jerry "The King" Lawler, calling the action from Raw, and calling the action from Smackdown, are our good pals, Michael Cole and Tazz!"
"Thank you very much JR, and Smackdown's section of Backlash tonight is huge, and we're gonna kick things off with the Intercontinental Championship match very soon, but first, lets here a few words from our colleagues, and the Spanish announce team, Hugo Savinovich and Carlos Cabrera!"
"Gracias a mi amigo, esta noche aquí en el Backlash, veremos la Triple H ante la Chris Jericho por el Campeonato Mundial Peso Pesado, y tambíen vamos a ver El Undertaker se enfranta El Rock por la WWF Campeonato!" WWF Intercontinental Championship Booker T vs Rob Van DamTwo popular young WWF Superstars came into this match with the same goal - waking out of Missouri as the Intercontinental Champion. Both men shook hands before the match began, and Booker T took control of things early on, going to work on the legs of RVD, dropping the knee against them and twisting it to uncomfortable positions. Van Dam eventually fought back and got himself back into the match, catching Booker T with a spin kick which was followed up by a monkey flip for a two count. Van Dam went straight back to work on Booker, but it appeared that the former 5x WCW Champion was playing possum, as he pushed RVD away and hit him with the Book End, but only got two. Booker then continued his onslaught, and later in the match, he still had control. As RVD tried to rally up the crowd, he started to mount some offence again, throwing Booker T across the ring and hitting Rolling Thunder, but only getting a two count. Van Dam tried for Rolling Thunder again, but this time Booker T got up, kicked him in the gut and connected with the Scissor Kick. Booker went for the pin, but Van Dam got his foot barely on the bottom rope to break it up. Booker seemed to get frustrated, and lifted RVD up, possibly going for another Scissor Kick, but we'll never know, as RVD hit him with a roundhouse kick followed by a 5 Star Frog Splash for the victory. Rob Van Dam defeats Booker T to retain the Intercontintental Championship (9:21)"Rob Van Dam retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship folks, and listen to the reaction from this crowd in Missouri! They certainly love him everywhere we go."
A split screen showed Triple H and Chris Jericho warming up for their World Heavyweight Championship match later in the evening. WWF Women's Championship Trish Stratus vs Mighty Molly (c) vs JazzThe fan favourite in the match, Trish Stratus, was double teamed by Jazz and Molly in the early goings, with both women taking turns to weaken her and take her out of the equation. The partnership between the two lasted until Jazz hit a Tree Trunk Slam and went for the cover, with Molly breaking it up. Molly and Jazz then went at it, with the heroic Diva almost getting the win after rolling Jazz up with a handful of tights. As Stratus was down, Molly and Jazz continued to go at it. Later in the match, Jazz went for a spinebuster, but Molly was able to avoid it, go behind her, and hit a bridging German, but the pin was broken up by Trish Stratus, who came off the top with an elbow. Molly and Trish then went after each other, and Molly had the upper hand, until Trish fought back and hit her with the Chick Kick. Before Stratus could pin her, however, Jazz came back into the match and went for a back suplex on Trish, but she managed to counter it into Stratusfaction to get the cover and once again become the WWF Women's Champion. Trish Stratus defeats Jazz and Mighty Molly to become WWF Women's Champion (8:32)
A promo for the match between Mr. Perfect and Kurt Angle was shown. Mr Perfect vs Kurt AngleAngle came out to an unfavourable reaction, as usual, unlike Mr. Perfect, who was greeted with cheers from the crowd. Mr. Perfect out-wrestled Angle at the start, and even slapped him across the back of the head, embarrassing the former Olympian. Angle then got angry, and went for Mr. Perfect's leg, but Perfect stepped away and Angle landed on his face, to laughter from the crowd. By this point, Angle was infuriated. Mr. Perfect tried to grab Angle in an arm bar, but Kurt was having none of it, and threw him overhead with a belly to belly, followed by another, and another, and another. Angle continued to work over Mr. Perfect for a long time, but got cocky after a while and began mocking Perfect, giving him time to recover. Angle got caught by Perfect, who flipped him overhead with the Perfect-Plex, but Angle got his foot on the bottom rope and quickly got up to his feet and into the corner, but this only allowed Mr. Perfect to chop him in the chest a number of times, and connect with forearms to the face. Perfect tried for something, but Angle pushed him backwards, causing him to collide with the referee. As Perfect checked on the referee, Angle hit a low blow on Perfect, taking him down. Jury then wasted no time in trapping him in the Ankle Lock. Angle grapevined him in the center of the ring, and when the referee got up, Mr. Perfect was tapping, and Angle got the win. Kurt Angle defeats Mr. Perfect (10:43)
A video package showing people that have fallen at the hands of Brock Lesnar in recent weeks was shown. It included Val Venis, Lita, The Hardy Boyz, and more. Brock Lesnar vs The Big ShowThe imposing Lesnar showed no fear towards Big Show, as he got right in his face before the bell rang. As the match began, Lesnar hit Show with shots to the gut, but the 500lber ran through Lesnar like a truck, taking the former NCAA Champion down. "If anybody here in the WWF can manhandle Brock Lesnar, it's The Big Show.", said Michael Cole. Show threw Lesnar into the corner, and lit his chest up with repeated overhand chops, as Paul Heyman cringed on the outside. Big Show continued to manhandle Lesnar, and eventually stood him in the middle of the ring and ran towards him, but Lesnar grabbed him and threw him down with a Belly-To-Belly suplex, shaking the ring and the entire state of Missouri. As Big Show had a shocked look on his face, he got back up and went for Lesnar again, but Brock moved out of the way. Big Show again turned around, and this time grabbed Lesnar by the throat, going for the chokeslam, but Brock fought his way out, and then in an ungodly feat of power and strength, lifted Show up on his shoulders and hit him with the F5 to get the victory. Brock Lesnar defeats The Big Show (6:54)As fans were shocked, Heyman was jumping for joy in the ring, as Lesnar smiled at Big Show. "First Kane, and now The Big Show. Tazz, this Brock Lesnar is an animal. If "The World's Largest Athlete" can't stop him, who can?"
"Lesnar is an absolute monster of a human being Cole, and Show just felt the full effects of his power. I mean, Lesnar just lifted him up and hit him with an F5 like it was nothing. This kid is a freak." The Un-Americans came down to the ring with a microphone, a Canadian flag, and an upside-down American flag. "Tonight, you people get to witness history. You get to see The Un-Americans become the World Tag Team Champions for the first time in history. You know, I'd like to say that it means something to win these titles, but, lets be honest, as long as we're in Missouri, nothing really means anything here anyway.
AMERICA SUCKS!" World Tag Team Championships Edge and Chris Benoit vs The Un-AmericansAfter Mr. McMahon announced that The Hardy Boyz had been forced to vacate the World Tag Team Championships due to injury and that they would be on the line in this match on Smackdown, all four men had even more reason to win this match. Storm and Benoit started the match and started off with mat wrestling, transitioning between different holds on the ground, before Storm dragged Benoit to his corner and allowed Christian to hold him in position while he slapped him and chopped him across the chest. Benoit then tagged in Edge, Storm tagged in Christian, and the two brothers faced off. Edge gained control, and had Christian bridged over his back after getting the upper hand in the Greco-Roman knuckle lock, but Christian got back up, went behind, kicked Edge in the back of his knee, and grabbed him in the rear chinlock. Storm and Christian maintained this control over Edge for a good amount of time, and cut the ring in half between him and his partner Benoit. Christian started to taunt his brother while he was down in the corner, but Edge booted him in the face and finally dived across the ring to tag in Chris Benoit. Benoit came in and immediately launched Christian across the ring with a German, and hit Storm with one too. Benoit shot off into the ropes, hit Christian with a clothesline, and went for a clothesline on Storm, but Lance ducked it, and the referee was taken down by the clothesline. Looking around confused, Benoit tried to think of something to do, but before he could, Test came in and kicked his head off with a big boot. Christian slowly crawled to the cover, and The Un-Americans became the new World Tag Team Champions. The Un-Americans defeat Chris Benoit and Edge to become the new World Tag Team Champions (10:05)
A promo for the match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Eddie Guerrero was shown. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Eddie GuerreroGuerrero seemed to be taking Austin very lightly in the beginning, almost mocking "The Texas Rattlesnake", and even going as far as to flip him the bird after Austin hit him with a snapmare. Stone Cold took exception, and came down on top of Guerrero with a Thesz Press and hit him with a number of shots to the head. Eddie then rolled to the outside to regain his composure, as the referee began his count and Austin was calling him to get back into the ring. At this point, Guerrero began walking up the ramp. "Where the hell is Guerrero going?!" "It looks to me like he's had enough of this match". Austin then chase Guerrero up the ramp, and threw him back in the ring just before the count of 9, but it was almost like Guerrero had planned it, as he tripped Austin over with the drop toe hold and and then smashed Austin's knee against the canvas. Guerrero continued to focus his attack on Stone Cold's leg, dropping his knee against Austin's, and then locking him in a leg bar whilst driving his elbow into the knee joint. Eddie controlled Austin for a good chunk of the match, and continued to pinpoint the knee, severely weakening Austin. Stone Cold started to fight back eventually, hitting Guerrero with his signature stomps in the corner and an elbow drop, but he only got a two count on Guerrero. Stone Cold then took control of Guerrero for a good while, and eventually Austin whipped Eddie off into the ropes, but Guerrero went behind and trapped Stone Cold in a sleeper. The Rattlesnake dropped to his knees, and appeared to be fading, but just barely got his hand on the bottom rope before he passed out. Eddie started to get mad, and that fiery Latino temper came into play, as he continually stomped away on Austin in the corner, not letting up for even a split second. The referee tried to hold him back, and he succeeded, but Guerrero just yelled at the referee and lifted Austin up. He ate a Stunner from out of nowhere, but Austin was just too worn out to get to a cover. When he finally did, Guerrero grabbed him in the small package, and surprisingly, stole a win from Stone Cold. Eddie Guerrero defeats Stone Cold Steve Austin (14:56)After the match ended, however, replays showed that Stone Cold's arm was indeed under the bottom rope during the pinfall, meaning that the match shouldn't have ended, and that Guerrero shouldn't have won. Austin pleaded his case to the referee, but the ref simply said that he couldn't do anything because he didn't see it.
A promo for the match between The Undertaker and The Rock was shown. WWF Championship The Rock vs The Undertaker"For weeks now, these two men have attacked each other, cost each other matches, and come to blows, and tonight, we will truly see, once and for all, who is the better man out of these two competitors", said Michael Cole, as Undertaker and Rock circled each other in the ring, appearing to be very cagey in the early goings, until The Undertaker backed The Rock into the ropes and hit him with repeated knees to the gut, followed by a blows to the body and face, and a clothesline, taking "The Brahma Bull" down. Undertaker went for the cover, but The Rock was able to power out early on. Undertaker responded by slapping Rock in the face, and throwing him into the corner. 'Taker smashed Rocky in the face with elbow after elbow after elbow, and then rapid fire jabs, or "soup bones", as JR likes to call them. The Rock stumbled out of the corner, which prompted Undertaker to lift him up and try for Snake Eyes, but The Rock broke free, pushed The Undertaker into the ropes, and connected with a flying clothesline. The Rock attempted a cover, but this time, it was The Undertaker who got the shoulder up. For the next portion of the match, Rock and Undertaker took the match to the mat, with Undertaker primarily going after Rock's shoulder and The Rock trying to take out the tree trunk like legs of The Undertaker. When both men were on their feet again, The Rock hit Undertaker with his signature strikes, and went for the big shot, but Undertaker pushed him away before he could, and then connected with the big boot. With Rock down and seemingly out, Undertaker called for the chokeslam, but The Rock was wise enough to break free and take The Undertaker down with a spinebuster. The Rock didn't go for a cover however, and instead continued his attack on the legs of The Undertaker, and eventually locked in the Sharpshooter. The Undertaker crawled for the bottom ropes and was visibly expending more and more energy with every stretch, but he finally got a hold of the rope and The Rock was forced to break the hold. Undertaker slowly got up, and walked right into a spinebuster from The Rock, followed by "The Most Electrifying Move In Sports Entertainment Today", The People's Elbow. Rock hit it to perfection, and followed it up with an attempted Rock Bottom, but The Undertaker retaliated with shots to the head. The Rock then hit Undertaker with strikes, followed by one last big one, but The Deadman was able to hit The Rock with the chokeslam. Instead of pinning him, The Undertaker bided his time, and when The Rock got back up, The Undertaker hit the tombstone for the three count and the WWF Championship. The Undertaker defeats The Rock to become WWF Champion (16:57)
A promo for the match between Chris Jericho and Triple H was shown. World Heavyweight Championship Triple H (c) vs Chris JerichoJericho, usually arrogant and cocky, had a look of business and business only plastered across his face. It was clear that he had one goal and one goal only on his mind - walking out of Backlash as the World Heavyweight Champion, but the exact same could be said for Triple H, who stared a hole through Jericho. The bell rang, and both men locked up, with Jericho taking advantage after a cheap shot to the thigh of Triple H, and wearing down the knee early on, forcing Triple H to roll to the outside to try and recover. Jericho however met him there, and threw "The Game" shoulder first into the steel steps. Jericho then started to taunt the crowd, before throwing the World Heavyweight Champion shoulder first into the barricade. Jericho broke the referee's 10 count, and continued to assault Triple H on the outside. Jericho tried to back body drop Triple H on the floor, but Hunter was wise enough to sweep out the legs of Jericho, and slingshot him head and face first into the ringpost. As Jericho got back up, it became evident that his forehead had been busted open upon contact with the ringpost. Triple H bought him back into the ring and then took advantage of that, mounting Jericho and punching him in the forehead a number of times. Y2J then rolled onto the apron, doing anything he could to escape Triple H. The Game walked towards Jericho and went for something, but "The Ayatollah Of Rock'N'Rolla" was playing possum, and pulled Triple H down throat first across the top rope, sending him flying back across the ring. A big chunk of the match was then spent with Jericho in control of Triple H. Every time the game tried to mount some kind of comeback, Jericho shut him down instantly. As Y2J arrogance began to exude, the same happened with Triple H's anger, and when Jericho bounced off of the ropes, Triple H connected with the spinebuster. He then got up and called for the Pedigree, but before he could hit it, Jericho connected with the Breakdown. "That's a sign of desperation there, folks. You don't see Jericho bust that one out too often", said JR. Y2J then dragged the Champ into the middle of the ring, and trapped him in the Walls Of Jericho. Triple H yelled in the center of the ring as he was stuck there. Jericho leaned back, putting more and more pressure on the previously torn quadricep muscle. Triple H finally got over onto his back, kicked Jericho off, and on sheer adrenaline, hit the Pedigree. Triple H got to the cover after a while, but he'd taken too long, as Jericho got his foot on the bottom rope. Triple H put his hands on his head, as realisation set in that that might have been all he had left. Jericho then got up, hit the Lionsault and tried for the Walls again, but The Game broke free, hit him with a second pedigree, and got the pinfall immediately, securing the win and retaining the title. Triple H defeats Chris Jericho to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (18:58)

April 22nd, 2002 | Savvis Centre, St. Louis, MI Booker T and DDP vs Billy and Chuck Booker T and DDP win after an Axe Kick (5:56) The Un-Americans were shown arriving to the arena, looking very proud, as Christian and Storm strutted around with their newly won World Tag Team Titles. William Regal vs Shawn Stasiak William Regal wins after the Power Of The Punch (0:03) Chris Jericho came to the ring with a microphone. "For the past month, since I lost at Wrestlemania, my head has been all over the place. And I promised, no, I guaranteed that I would walk out of Backlash with the World Heavyweight Championship. But I didn't.
I lost to Triple H. Again. However, if he thinks this is over.. he is wrong. Dead wrong. Triple H.. you and I have a rather storied history with one another. And a lot has happened since I tore your quad last May. You've attacked me, I've attacked you, we've beaten the living hell out of each other, Hunter, but, one day, this all has to end, and that day is May 19. The location is Nashville. Judgment Day is upon me and you, Hunter. You see, we are going to face again, one last time, but this time.. it's gonna be different. There will be one clear, decisive winner. Hunter, at Judgment Day, it's gonna be me, and you, one on one, World Heavyweight Championship."Triple H then came out to the ring. "Chris.. you're right. This does all have to come to an end, and I see no better place to do it than at Judgment Day. But.. like you said.. there needs to be something, something to make sure that we know, once and for all, who truly is the better man. And I know exactly what. Chris Jericho.. at Judgment Day.. we are going to do battle again. We are going to go to war again. It's gonna be Chris Jericho.. vs Triple H.. one on one.. World Title on the line.. Hell. In A Cell."The crowd erupted with cheers as both men stared each other down. They dropped their microphones, and the visual of both men in each other's faces was shown on the titantron.

A recap of Backlash was shown.
-Commercial Break- Eddie Guerrero was shown walking into Ric Flair's office. "Olale, Slick Ric, ah? Ay, homes.. I don't know if you saw, but at Backlash, I beat Stone Cold Steve Austin. So.. that's gotta push me up in contention for a championship.. right?"
"Well.. yes. You did beat Stone Cold.. albeit questionably, but, I'll tell you what. Since you did technically beat him, but his arm was under the bottom rope, so, at Judgment Day, you're gonna have a rematch with Stone Cold Steve Austin. But.. this time, the winner will get a World Heavyweight Championship shot sometime in the future."Guerrero nodded and left. April 26th, 2002 | Peoria Civic Centre, Peoria, IL Chavo Guerrero vs The HurricaneThe debuting Chavo Guerrero wins after a Frog Splash (5:09) Kurt Angle came down the ramp, microphone in hand. "Sunday night at Backlash, I did exactly what I said I'd do, I beat Mr. Perfect. I made his ass tap out in the middle of that ring. And now that I've done that, I'm gonna move on to Judgment Day, and trust me when I say, I will beat Edge, and I will move on to King Of The Ring. And I will become the new WWF Champion."Angle looked towards the ramp, as Edge appeared with a microphone. "Kurt, you sound awfully confident that you're going to beat me for a man who's lost to me on numerous occasions. Hell, I beat you just last month."
"First things first, Edge, this isn't about last month. This is about Judgment Day. And the fact of the matter is, you're looking at the very best wrestler in the world today. I am the only Olympic gold medalist in profes-"
"'professional wrestling history' blah, blah, blah, Kurt, we've heard it all before. You can talk about how good you are, and all of your accolades, but-"
"Hold on a second. Edge, I've watched you prance around here like the king of the freakin' hill for far too long. You got kids looking up to you, you dress like a rockstar, the women love you, and quite frankly, it makes me sick. Because you don't deserve to be here. You're not as good as anybody in that locker room, and you're sure as hell not as good as me. And all you are to Kurt Angle is another obstacle that I will mow down."
"Obstacle, huh? Well, Kurt, if you hate me and my rockstar look so much, what do you say we make the stakes a little higher? Why don't we uh, say, make this match hair vs hair?"
"Ha, hair vs hair? Sure, whatever, but just know, that's just an added bonus, because not only do I get to beat you and embarrass you in front of the entire world, not only do I get a WWF Championship match, but I get to shave that stupid hair off of your head."Angle's theme started to play, but Edge began to talk over it again. "Hold on a second, your theme song.. I think I just found some lyrics to it! Yeah! Ready, everybody?"Edge, and the fans, eventually, began singing "You suck!" You suck!" in tune to Kurt's theme, as Angle looked on, unimpressed with Edge's antics.
-Commercial Break- WWF Hardcore Championship - Test vs Maven Maven wins via roll up (1:21)
A promo for Judgment Day featuring clips of The Undertaker, a noose, a gravestone, and a casket were shown. "A thousand deaths."
"Men will rise."
"Men will fall."
"One decides their fate."
"The day of reckoning is upon us."
"Judgment Day is around the corner."WWF Judgment Day is live on Pay-Per-View, Sunday, May 19th, 2002, 8E/7C. William Regal vs Raven William Regal wins after the Power Of The Punch (00:23)
-Commercial Break- Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar came to the ring. "Ladies and gentlemen.. My name.. is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate and agent for the single most destructive superstar in the history of the WWF, "The Next Big Thing" the 2002 King Of The Ring, the slayer of giants, and the best damn professional wrestler in the world today, Brock! Lesnar! Unless you have been living under a rock since Wrestlemania, then you have bore witness to my client's decimation of superstar, after superstar, after superstar, after superstar, and at Backlash, "The World's Largest Athlete", the 7ft tall, over 500lb freak of a human being, The Big Show, fell at the hands of Brock Lesnar. Allow me to repeat that for you. The previously most dominant WWF Superstar of all time, The Big Show, legitimately the largest living athlete in the world, was made to look like a child by my client. Brock Lesnar is the single most destructive, dominant, and violent man to ever step into this ring. And after seeing what he did to Brock Lesnar at Backlash, I ask, no.. I dare any single person to come out here and try to stand up to my client."Heyman was forced to stop talking after Chris Benoit's theme started to play. "The Rabid Wolverine" got into the ring and faced off with Lesnar. As both men stared each other in the eye, Brock went for the cheap shot, but Benoit countered it and trapped Lesnar in the Crippler Crossface. As Lesnar reached for the ropes and tried all he could to break free, he managed to escape under the bottom rope and back up the ramp. Benoit then grabbed the microphone. "You dare me? I dare you to fight me at Judgment Day."
A recap of Backlash was shown.
The new WWF Champion, The Undertaker, drove down the ramp on his motorcycle holding his Championship belt. "Like I've said before.. this is my yard. I've beaten everybody around here. Jericho. Triple H. Angle. Austin. Benoit. Edge. And now, The Rock. Not only did I beat The Rock, but I exposed him for the punk that he is. As he laid there in that ring, watching me leave that arena on my motorcycle with my championship over my shoulder, you could see the look of disappointment and realisation in his face. Realisation that he don't have what it takes to beat me."The Rock's theme hit. "You know, Undertaker, The Rock was willing to be a man, admit that he'd lost, and even admit that you earned his respect, but when The Rock hears you come out here and talk trash on him, try and embarrass The Rock, that doesn't sit well with him. Undertaker, if you're the champion that you say you are, you'll give The Rock his rematch at Judgment Day."
"Why in the hell would I have to face you, someone I've already beaten more times than I can count, again? You had your shot, now move to the back of the line."
"Maybe because.. deep down.. you know that you can't truly beat The Rock.. and that Backlash was no more than a fluke."
"You want me at Judgment Day? You got it boy. But you just made the biggest mistake of your life."
-Commercial Break- Edge vs Lance Storm Edge wins after a spear (8:09)
After the match ended, Edge was attacked from behind by Kurt Angle. Angle locked in the Ankle Lock, and then clobbered Edge with a chair shot to the head. As Edge was knocked out, Angle pulled a pair of scissors out from under the ring, and started cutting Edge's hair. As Angle held the strands he'd cut off in his hands, Smackdown ended. © 2002, World Wrestling Federation.

"I was just saying tha-"
"What? You think you're gonna beat Ol' Stone Cold? What? You think you're gonna embarrass me like you did Edge on Friday? What? You think you're gonna try and make me look like a damn fool? Eh eh!"
"Listen Austin. You can use your same old tired catchphrase as much as you want, but I prefer to let my actions speak louder than my words. I'll see you out there."
"You like to let your actions speak louder than your words? Huh? Well how's this for an action?"Austin flipped Angle his middle finger, as Kurt went for Stone Cold, but other superstars were there keep him away, as Stone Cold left laughing. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge vs Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge win after a Stunner to Guerrero and a Spear to Angle (12:29) After the match had ended, Edge pointed to Stone Cold's bald head, signalling to Angle that he would look like that come Judgment Day. Austin and Edge then shared a beer in the ring. Triple H vs The Undertaker Triple H wins after The Rock distracted the Undertaker (11:23) As The Undertaker chased down the entrance ramp and into the back looking for The Rock, The Game stood tall in the ring, celebrating his victory, until Chris Jericho came into the ring and attacked him with The Game's trademark sledgehammer. Jericho struck Triple H in the previously injured quadricep, and continued to strike the leg, finishing off with one last sledgehammer shot. Jericho ripped his shirt open and stood over Triple H, holding the Sledgehammer aloft in one hand and the World Heavyweight Championship in the other. © 2002, World Wrestling Federation.

May 3rd, 2002 | Mellon Arena, Pittsburgh, PA Tajiri vs Chavo Guerrero Tajiri wins after a Buzzsaw Kick (6:04) Edge was shown backstage, holding some pictures in his hand. He walked up to Kurt Angle. "What the hell do you want?"
"Hold on, Kurt, just, settle down, settle down. I know that we haven't been seeing eye to eye, and I know that we've been having some problems lately."
"Yes, yes we have."
"Well, the more I've been thinking about it, the more I feel bad."
"What?"
"We used to be really tight, I mean, really good friends."
"Yeah, we were, so what?"
"Well, I was going through my attic the other day, and look what I found. I found these pictures!"Angle leaned in and looked at the pictures Edge was holding in his hand. "Check it out!"
"Hey, that was the night I first won the WWF Title!"
"Yeah, awesome shot, right?"
"Yeah!"
"Check it out, there's more!"
"Wow, man!"
"Oh, this is cool. Look at this!"
"Yeah, and, you can keep those."
"Really?"
"Yeah, be my guest man!"
"Awesome, thanks!"
"Wow, talk about memories. This takes me back."
"That Edge is not such a bad guy, is he?"Angle turned the picture over, and finally caught on to what Edge had done to him. "Oh, that son of a bitch."Angle stormed off.
-Commercial Break- Randy Orton (w/Maven) vs Hardcore Holly Randy Orton wins via rollup (5:32) Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar walked into Mr. McMahon's office. "Paul, have a seat."
"Vince, thank you for inviting me here."
"Yes, now, regarding your client, Brock Lesnar, and the King Of The Ring Tournament. Tonight, we're holding our first opening round match, and we'd like to have Brock in it."
"Alright, that sounds good to me. But, first Mr. McMahon, let me assure, no, let me promise you that whatever man you put in front of my client is nothing more than just an obstacle, that, just like everyone else, will be ran over.""I look forward to seeing his match. Brock, I suggest you get ready, since you're facing Albert, and that match is next.
A recap of Raw's season premiere was shown.
As Brock Lesnar made his way to the ring, the participants in the 2002 King Of The Ring Tournament were shown. Brock Lesnar vs Albert Brock Lesnar wins after an F5 (2:26)
The updated standings for the 2002 King Of The Ring Tournament were shown. The Rock walked to the ring with a microphone. "FINALLY! THE ROCK HAS COME BACK! TO PITTSSSSSSSBURGH!
You know, The Rock has been sat at home for a few days, thinking to himself, and The Rock came to a little conclusion. Undertaker, The Rock might have had respect for you before, The Rock might have admired you on a professional level, but when you sucker punched him from behind, every single ounce of respect that The Rock had for you was thrown out the window. And, Deadman, do not think for one single solitary second, that The Rock is going to make the same mistake that he did at Backlash, no no no no no no no, see, Undertaker, The Rock knows your reputation, The Rock knows what you're capable of, and The Rock knows just exactly, who you are, but, 'Taker.. do you know who The Rock is?"Before Rock could go any further, he was jumped from behind by The Undertaker himself. "The Deadman" span The Rock around, but Rock was one step ahead this time, ducked The Undertaker's shot, and hit the Rock Bottom, planting the WWF Champion in the center of the ring.
-Commercial Break- Kurt Angle angrily walked into Mr. McMahon's office. "Vince, I'm gonna lay it out for ya real simple, alright. I'm made. Edge made me look like a jackass, in my home town, no less. And that pissed me off, so what I'm asking if you is, put me in a match tonight so I can kicked somebody's ass and get all of this frustration out of my system."
"Kurt, I'll tell you what. I don't have an opponent for you tonight, but what you can do is go out there and issue an open challenge to anybody you wish. How does that sound?"
"Alright. That sounds good." Mighty Molly vs Jazz Mighty Molly wins via rollup (4:30)
A recap of Backlash was shown. Kurt Angle walked to the ring with a microphone. "In case you didn't hear.. Mr. McMahon has allowed me to issue an open challenge to any single person in the back. So if you think you have the guts to get in the ring with me, come out here and let Kurt Angle make you famous."The winner of Tough Enough season 1, Maven of all people, answered the challenge. Kurt Angle vs MavenAs the match progressed, and Angle started to toy with the rookie, he got overzealous, and shoved Maven into the referee. As Angle turned around, Edge hit the ring and ripped Angle in half with a spear. He then dragged Maven to the cover, and the referee slowly made the three count. Maven wins (9:23) As Angle looked on at Edge, Randy Orton and Maven celebrating on the ramp, realisation set in that for the third time in a month, he had lost to a rookie. © 2002, World Wrestling Federation.

As of today, May 5th, 2002, the World Wildlife Fund won their case against the World Wrestling Federation, gaining them full rights to the initials "WWF", including the url "wwf.com", and many more. The dispute was finally settled in court today and Vince announced immediately after that he has already rebranded the "WWF" (World Wrestling Federation) to "WWE" (World Wrestling Entertainment). Linda McMahon was quoted as saying outside of the courtroom: "We will utilise this opportunity to position ourselves emphasising the entertainment aspect of our company, and, at the same time, allay the concerns of the Fund". They're still publicly trading as "WWF" on Wall Street until a new, more suitable symbol can be found. Vince allegedly has a big speech planned for the next episode of Raw and will soon be updating all stage pieces, announce tables, ring aprons, merchandise, championships, and more to say "WWE" instead of "WWF". Vince also acquired the domain "wwe.com" today and shifted all data from their previous site to the new one.

May 6th, 2002 | Hartford Civic Centre, Hartford, CT WWE Women's Championship - No Disqualification - Trish Stratus vs Jazz Trish Stratus retains after Stratusfaction to the outside through a table (3:12)
A recap of Triple H being attacked by Chris Jericho from last week's season premiere of Raw was shown. Stone Cold was shown backstage with Jonathan Coachman. "Stone Cold, for weeks now, you and Eddie Guerrero have been on a collision course with one another, and at Judgment Day in two weeks, we will see the third match between you two. Currently, you're both tied with two wins apiece, but do you think you can beat Eddie Guerrero for a second time?"
"What?"
"D-d-do you think you can be-"
"No, no, I understood the question, but what the hell is that supposed to mean? What are you sayin' I can't beat Eddie Guerrero? Are you saying it was a fluke? You sayin' I'm scared of Eddie Guerrero? You sayin' I'm scared? Do I look scared? Am I shakin'? Am I tremblin'? Am I quakin' in my boots? No, I don't think I am, and I'll tell ya why. Eddie Guerrero is nothin' more than a cowardly little chicken crap, who I've already beaten once, and I will gladly open a can of whoopass on him again. You see in just two weeks at Judgment Day, Eddie Guerrero knows what's comin'. Stone Cold knows what's comin'. The fans know what's comin'. Even you, Jonathan Coachman, knows what's comin'. What's comin', is Eddie Guerrero's Judgment Day. When I kick him in the gut, put his head right up here on my shoulder and stun his ass, 1, 2, 3, that's when we'll know who the better man is, and that's the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so."
-Commercial Break- WWE Hardcore Championship - Test vs Stevie Richards Test retains after a big boot (0:31) Chris Jericho walked down to the ring. "We are exactly one week removed from last week's Raw season premiere. That show ended with me shattering Triple H's leg into a million pieces, and standing tall over 'The Cerebral Ass-assin'. I tried to warn you. I tried to tell you all that I was not a joke, and that you should take me seriously.. but you didn't. Here's an idea. Ask The Rock if I'm a joke. Ask Edge if I'm a joke. Ask "Stone Cold" Steve Austin if I'm a joke. Oh, better yet, why don't you ask Triple H, who's at home right now licking his wounds barely able to stand up if I'm a joke. What I did to Triple H last week absolutely pales in comparison to what I'm going to do to him inside Hell In A Cell at Judgment Day. Triple H, I know you're watching this, so I want you to listen to me, and I want you to listen good. You might think that you have my number. You might have beaten me twice, but trust me when I say that come Judgment Day, you are gonna find out just exactly how dangerous I am. Because when we get inside that Cell, there's no telling what I'm capable of. But that's two weeks from now, and I wanna focus on tonight. Tonight, we have an open spot for a main event match, and all of you know what that means. It's time for the "First Annual Chris Jericho Open Challenge Invitational", where I lay down the challenge for any single Jabroni in the back who thinks he has the guts to face me to come down here and try, try to beat me. So, come on, champ, let's see what ya got!"The crowd anticipated who it would be, as the arena fell in silence for a few seconds, however, that silence soon changed to loud cheers, as Intercontinental Champion Rob Van Dam answered the challenge. "Chris, you know, thinking back to the start of this year, you never beat me clean at the Royal Rumble.. no.. in fact, if I remember you correctly, you had to cheat to win, and that's why I came out here. Jericho, I'm going to give you the chance to prove that you can beat me, and, hell, I'll even put this on the line too."
"You wanna fight me, huh, junior? You think you've got what it takes to beat me? "Y2J"? "The Ayatollah Of Rock And Rolla"? Well you've got it. And it's just gonna be sweeter when not only do I win that Intercontinental Championship from you, but I go on to Judgment Day and beat Triple H to hold both that title and the World Heavyweight Title."
"Sure, Chris. We'll see."
-Commercial Break- #1 Contender's Match - The APA vs Booker T and Goldust Booker T and Goldust win after a Scissors Kick (6:32) "And what a win for this newly thrown together team of Booker T and Goldust. They are complete opposites of each other, folks, but they seem to have a very good chemistry that could translate to great success at Judgment Day, if they keep their eyes on the prize, and that prize being the World Tag Team Championships." The Un-Americans were shown backstage with Jonathan Coachman. "Guys, as we just saw, Lance, Christian, you now know that you're going to be facing Booker T and Goldust at Judgment Day for those World Tag Team Titles. What do you think about that?"
"I'll tell you exactly what we think about that, "Coach". It doesn't matter if it's Booker T and Goldust, The APA, The Hardy Boyz, or any other team in that locker room. No matter who they might be, they're still getting in the ring with us. Lance and myself are two of the very best wrestlers in the entire world today, and we will prove that yet again when we put down that painted up freak and that god damned criminal at Judgment Day. Come on, let's get out of here. If I stay in Connecticut much longer, I'm gonna gradually get dumber and dumber. I can already feel my IQ sinking.
AMERICA SUCKS!"
A promo for Judgment Day featuring clips of The Undertaker, a noose, a gravestone, and a casket were shown. "A thousand deaths."
"Men will rise."
"Men will fall."
"One decides their fate."
"The day of reckoning is upon us."
"Judgment Day is around the corner."WWE Judgment Day is live on Pay-Per-View, Sunday, May 19th, 2002, 8E/7C.
As the camera returned to the arena, Mr. McMahon was in the ring, surrounded by the entire WWE roster, holding a microphone in his hand. "As you all probably know, there's been a few changes around here lately. The "World Wrestling Federation" is dead. And rising from it's ashes like a Phoenix is "World Wrestling Entertainment". And this doesn't just mean a change in name, folks, but this means big changes around here. I want each and every one of you surrounding this ring to step up, and, quite frankly, if you are not up to my standards, you will be fired. I want to see heart in all of you. I want to see passion. I'll tell you exactly what I want to see. I wanna see.. ruthless aggression! And, to mark the beginning of this, and to prove that anything can happen in the WWE, Ric Flair, please come out here."Ric Flair came to the ring. "Ric, it's no secret that you and I do not like each other one single bit. You don't like me, and I don't like you, we're just going to have to accept that. But, sooner or later, somethings gotta give. And, Ric, at Judgment Day, this saga will come to an end. You see, I've put together a little match, with some special stipulations. Those stipulations being that you pick somebody, and I pick somebody. The two men that we picked will wrestle each other in a match, and the losing man, will have the man he's representing fired from their position as General Manager. So, Ric, I'd suggest you pick somebody good, because I've already made my decision. The man that will represent me at Judgment Day is none other than the current WWF Hardcore Champion, Test!"Test got into the ring and shook hands with Mr. McMahon. "So, come on, Flair. Do your worst."
"Don't worry, Vince. You'll find out in due time who is going to represent me. However, in the meantime, may the best man win."Flair extended the hand, and McMahon begrudgingly accepted.
-Commercial Break- Intercontinental Championship - Rob Van Dam vs Chris JerichoThe match ended in a no contest after Triple H stormed down the ramp and attacked Jericho. The Game hit Jericho with a sledgehammer shot, but "Y2J" was able to scurry away up the ramp. Triple H then grabbed a microphone. "Jericho, you and I have known each other for so long, that I thought you'd know by now that it takes a hell of a lot more to keep me down than a busted leg, and at Judgment Day, you're gonna have to damn near kill me if you wanna take this title out of my hands."© 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment.

May 9th, 2002 | Harbor Yard Arena, Bridgeport, CT WWE Hardcore Championship - Test vs Mark Henry Test wins after a big boot (3:26) WWE Hardcore Championship - The Hurricane vs Test The Hurricane wins via rollup (0:05) The Rock was shown backstage with Jonathan Coachman. "Finally, The Rock has come back, to Bridgeport! You see, Coach, last week was The Rock's birthday, and The Rock celebrated a little bit, yeah, he had a small party, but, uh, why weren't you there, Coach?"
"I don't think I was invited, Rock."
"Oh, yeah, you were definitely invited, Coach, everyone was. So, Coach, The Rock wants to know. Tell The Rock what you were doing that was so important that meant you had to no show his birthday party. Were you at home playing pocket pool like you usually are? Or were you watching yourself on Access like you always are? Or maybe you were listening to your favourite artists, huh? Maybe you were listening to some of The Rock's favourites? You know, a little bit of Mystical, Jay Z, maybe Destiny's Child, yeah? Who's your favourite?"
"uh..brymnlw"
"Who?"
"Actually, Rock.. I like.. Barry Manilow."
"Barry Manilow?"
"Yeah."
"Oh, alright, okay, The Rock can dig that, The Rock is a little bit familiar with Barry Manilow, but, Coach, why don't you do The Rock a favour and sing a little Barry Manilow."
"No, that's al-"
"No, no, no, no, you don't get to make the decision. Would you people like to see Coach sing Barry Manilow?"
"Come on, Coach. They believe in you. The Rock believes in you, come on let's hear it."
"Well, uh, ok... At the Copa.. Copa Cabana! The hottest spot north of Havana, here at the Copa! Copa Cab-"
"SWEET CREAM ON AN ICE CREAM SANDWHICH, WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"
"Singing Barry Manilow, Rock."
"You like to sing, Coach?"
"..Yeah."
"You like Barry Manilow?"
"Yeah."
"You like the "Cocacocacagada"?"
"Yeah."
"You like the "Copa"?"
"Yeah."
"Well, "Copa" your ass on out of here, Jabroni, go on, beat it!"
"Now, The Rock has to get down to business. Deadman, The Rock didn't get to finish what he was saying last week, because you interrupted him, but allow The Rock to finish now. The Rock knows all about you. The Rock knows just who you are, but The Rock says, The Rock says this, do you know just who The Rock is? Because, 'Taker, it seems that since you beat The Rock once, you're taking him lightly. Yeah. And you know what The Rock does when people take him lightly? Well, first he's gonna take that WWE Championship, and shine it up real nice, so that The Rock can see his face in it, then, he's gonna turn that sumbitch sideways, and finally, he's gonna bend you over, slap you in the face, and stick it straight up, your candy ass!
And now, The Rock moves on to Kurt Angle. The Rock can tell you this, Kurt. You and The Rock used to beat good friends, Kurt, yeah, used to be the best of buddies, but now, that's all changed, and now, all you are to The Rock is a stupid haircutted, gold medal, grade a, stinking pile of Olympic monkey crap, and after The Rock pins you, 1, 2, 3, in the middle of that ring, you'll move on to Judgment Day, where Edge is gonna shave you bald, and after that, Kurt.. The Rock will admit, you will no longer be a bald headed, gold medal, grade a, stinking pile of Olympic monkey crap, no, no, no, no, you will be a stupid haircutted, gold medal, grade a, stinking pile of Olympic monkey crap.
IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLL! What The Rock.. is cookin."
-Commercial Break- Billy Kidman vs Tajiri Billy Kidman wins after a Shooting Star Press (5:16)
Val Venis vs Justin Credible Val Venis wins after The Money Shot (3:05) Kurt Angle walked out to the ring, where an easel was set up with a sheet covering it. Angle grabbed a microphone. "Tonight, it brings me great pleasure to unveil to you, the brand new, official, Kurt Angle t-shirt. A t-shirt that I designed myself, and one that represents just exactly who I am. You can buy this t-shirt either outside, or on wwe.com for just $15.99."Edge's theme hit. "Kurt, first of all, allow me to apologise. Last week, I, I was out of line, and I shouldn't have done what I did. I embarrassed you in your home state, and, well, for that, I'm sorry, Kurt. And I thought I'd just come out here and congratulate you, I mean, you've got a new t-shirt, so, come on man, let's see it!"
"You know what? I knew you'd come to your senses. So, without further-a-do, drumroll please...."Angle ripped the sheet off, but underneath was not his t-shirt, but a t-shirt Edge had designed himself and placed in the frame. Angle turned around and realised what Edge had done. Edge rolled out of the ring, as an irate Angle flipped the easel over and yelled at Edge, as Edge backed up the ramp laughing.
-Commercial Break- WWE Hardcore Championship - Test vs The Hurricane Test wins after a big boot (0:04) WWE Hardcore Championship - Maven vs Test Maven wins via roll up (0:05) The Rock vs Kurt AngleThe match began with Angle targeting Rock's leg, taking him down with a double leg and following it up by locking him in a number of different holds on the mat. The Rock managed to get to the outside for a short while to recover, and when Angle pounced on him again, The Rock flipped him overhead with a big back body drop onto the announce table. Angle barely rolled under the bottom rope for the count of 9, and the match continued. The Rock met Angle with shots to the face, but before he could capitalise, Kurt threw him overhead with a belly to belly suplex. Angle then again continued to pinpoint his attack on the legs, specifically the ankle. After a number of German Suplexes, Angle tried for the Ankle lock, but The Rock kicked him away. Rock then locked in a submission of his own, turning Angle over and trapping him in the sharpshooter, but as he held it, The Undertaker hit the ring and booted The Rock in the face. The Rock wins via disqualification (12:46)
As Angle rolled to the outside, Undertaker continued to beat down on The Rock, dragging him up the entrance ramp, into the back, and eventually, to the parking lot. Undertaker sent "The People's Champion" back first into a limousine, and then climbed on top, brought Rock up there with him, and dropped The Rock head first on the roof of the limousine. Smackdown ended with a shot of The Rock's lifeless body slumped on top of the limousine, and The Undertaker driving away on his motorcycle, holding the WWE Championship over his shoulder. © 2002, World Wrestling Federation.

May 13th, 2002 | Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Ontario Mr. McMahon opened up Raw in the ring. "We are just one week away from Judgment Day, and that means that we are also just one week away from Ric Flair getting fired from his position as Raw General Manager, and, Ric, I didn't want it to come down to this, but when you stuck your nose in my business, you left me no choice but to do this. So, at this time, ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to the man who will represent me this Sunday, one quarter of the Un-Americans, and a 6'6, 275lb monster, ladies and gentlemen, Test!"Test, strangely on his own and without The Un-Americans, walked to the ring holding an upside-down American flag. As Mr. McMahon was about to speak, Ric Flair came out. "Vince, I'll give you credit. You've made a good choice, and I know that you're just dying to see who I've picked to represent me this Sunday, but that's when you're gonna find out. This Sunday. You'll see who I've picked at Judgment Day."
"Oh, yeah? Well, Flair, before you leave and go to the back with your tail tucked between your legs, I want you to find whoever it is you've picked, and I want you and him to watch this, because what's about to happen is exactly what's in store for whomever he may be."McMahon and Test looked on as Flair walked to the back. Test vs Spike Dudley Test wins after a big boot (0:07) "Stone Cold" Steve Austin walked to the ring holding a case of beer and a steel chair. "For a month now, I've been waiting to get my hands on Eddie Guerrero, and Ric Flair has made me wait until Judgment Day. That might be this Sunday, but I can't wait that long. You see, I don't just want to kick Eddie Guerrero's ass, I want to make him suffer. So, until Ric Flair comes out here and makes this match no disqualifications, I'm sitting my ass here, openin' a few cans of Steveweisers, and I'm holding Raw hostage."Austin sat in the chair and opened a beer.
-Commercial Break-
As we returned from commercial break, Stone Cold was still sat in the chair. Ric Flair finally came out to the ring again. "Austin, if I make this match no disqualifications, will you leave the ring and get to the back?"Austin nodded. "Well, fine. Your match with Eddie Guerrero at Judgment Day is now a no disqualification match."As soon as Flair stopped talking, Eddie Guerrero came sprinting past him, and got into the ring with Stone Cold. Both men began exchanging shots, as they spilled over to the outside of the ring. Stone Cold had the upper hand, as he mounted Guerrero and rained down the shots, but Eddie held his own and flipped Austin over. They continued to brawl as security finally came down and separated them. Austin was dragged up the ramp kicking and screaming, as Guerrero was held at the ringside area. William Regal vs DDP William Regal wins after The Power Of The Punch (4:26) Chris Jericho was shown arriving to the arena.
-Commercial Break- Triple H came down to the ring with a microphone. "Two weeks ago, when Chris Jericho cheap shotted me and attacked my leg, he thought he'd gotten rid of me, but my, was he wrong. Over a year ago, I was crippled here on Raw, to the point where I couldn't even walk. I spent 9 whole months teaching myself to walk again. Do you know what that does to a man? I had to sit at home and watch as Chris Jericho began his hostile takeover of the WWE, and became the Undisputed Champion, and it ate away at me. What ate away at me was the fact that our Champion, the man who is supposed to carry the WWE name and banner, was nothing more than a cowardly little bastard, and a joke of a human being. And it ate away at me so much, that the very second I was able to compete again, I packed my bags, I flew into Atlanta, and I entered and won the Royal Rumble. So two weeks ago, Jericho, I thought you would have known that to stop me from getting to Judgment Day, you'll have to run my ass over with a god damn Mack truck, because nothing is going to stop me from getting in that cage, kicking your ass, and proving once and for all, who truly is the better man between us."Chris Jericho interrupted The Game. "You can call me whatever you want, Hunter, but the fact is, when it comes to who the better man is between you and I, I already know who he is, and his name is Chris Jericho. Waaah, Triple H came back from a career threatening injury. Boo-hoo. While you were gone, I grabbed the ball and I ran with it. They gave me an inch, I took a yard. They gave me a yard, I took a meter. They gave me a meter, I took a mile. They gave me a chance at the Undisputed Championship, and I took it. Argue all you want, but I should be holding that Championship right now, not you. You don't deserve to hold that belt, in fact, you don't even deserve to be in this ring, hell, you don't even deserve to be in the WWE, and when I get done with you at Judgment Day, you bet your ass you're gonna find out who the better man is. Because I know it, and I've known it since the very first time you and I faced off, but this time, you, these cretins watching right now, and everybody else on planet earth, will finally wake up and see me for exactly what I am. The best wrestler in the world today, "The Ayatollah Of Rock'N'Rolla", "Y2J", and the next World Heavyweight Champi-"
"For a man who cheated his way out in every defence he had, you sure seem awful confident. You claim to be the best wrestler in the world, but there is one big difference between me and you, and that is, you do this for money. I do this because this is what I love. This is what I've wanted since I was 6 years old. This is what I live for. This is my life. I eat wrestling, I sleep wrestling, I breathe wrestling, and let me tell you now, there is not one other man, woman or child walking this earth right now who wrestling means more to, and that's where your downfall is, Chris. You'll lose at Judgment Day, you'll move on, but I won't. This is about more than just this World Heavyweight Championship to me. This is about pride, this is about respect, and this is about showing the world that I deserve to hold this championship, that I deserve to be at the top of the company, and that this is my yard. When you step inside that cell at Judgment Day, the door is locked, and you look me in the eyes, you won't be looking at just any old Triple H. You're gonna be looking at a man possessed. A man focused. A man hell bent on holding onto this Championship. Because this isn't just a piece of gold to me. This is my life source."Triple H dropped the microphone and got ready to climb out of the ring, when suddenly, Jericho attacked him from behind. Jericho again assaulted the leg of Triple H, striking it, stomping on it, and finally grabbing a steel chair from under the ring, and smashing The Game's leg with it. Jericho threw the chair at Triple H and raised the World Championship above his head, as the Champion lay there motionless. -Commercial Break- Chris Jericho was shown walking backstage, when he was stopped by Ric Flair"What the hell was that?"
"What do you mean?"
"Who do you think you are, trying to ruin Sunday's main event like that? You might be able to get away with that under Vince McMahon, but not on my watch, now get out there, because you've got a match."
"What? Against who?"
"No excuses. Get out there."Jericho waited in the ring for his opponent, and he was surprised to hear the glass shatter and be face with the challenge of Stone Cold Steve AustinStone Cold Steve Austin vs Chris JerichoStone Cold took advantage of the element of surprise, catching Jericho off guard early on and maintaining that control, but the challenger for the World Heavyweight Title at Judgment Day was wise enough to bring the match to the mat and be sure to keep Austin down as much as possible. Jericho stretched Austin's arm out to try and stop the Stunner from being used, and it seemed like it was working, as Stone Cold's arm had seemingly gone completely numb halfway through. Jericho looked like he had Austin beat, but "The Texas Rattlesnake" finally began to mount some offence again, connecting with punches to the head, followed by a Thesz Press, followed by more punches, followed by his trademark elbow. Stone Cold went for the Stunner, but Jericho pushed him away and straight into referee Charles Robinson. With the ref down, Eddie Guerrero came down the ramp, and blasted Austin in the back with a chair, taking him down. Guerrero then got out of the ring, jumped the barricade, and escaped through the crowd. Jericho slowly crawled to the cover, and got the win. Chris Jericho wins (14:35) As Jericho walked up the ramp and into the backstage area, he ran into Triple H, sledgehammer and all. "Y2J" ran for the parking lot as fast as he could, as Triple H, barely able to walk, chased after him. Jericho got into his car as quickly as possible and sped away from the Air Canada Centre, as Triple H angrily looked on.
