I gotta admit that I'm now legit excited for the main event this Sunday. That Mania crowd is gonna be great.

I LOVE HOW THE POSTERS ON PAGE 1 AND 2 OF THIS THREAD WERE CONVINCED HE WAS GOING BACK TO THE OCTAGON... Why have you started typing in caps since your return? BROKEN ARM...HAVE ONE HAND TO TYPE WITH...MUCH EASIER THAN NORMAL TYPING. BELIEVE ME I HATE IT TOO.

So? I'm sure WWE will love the slight buzz that comes from that for a few days, but it doesn't help the product at all. Will anyone who wasn't already planning on watching WrestleMania now do so via a new network subscription or buying the PPV solely because they heard Brock Lesnar talking on ESPN about how he resigned with WWE? History says that it won't make a difference as Brock Lesnar hasn't made a big enough impact on network or PPV buys to justify the massive amount of money they pay him and level they put him at on the card. I'm not trying to sound like I'm hating on the guy any. In all honesty, I don't care for the fact that he's a part-time champion and in the main event of all the major shows while other people who work ten times as hard and twenty times as often don't get that same opportunity, but at least he's honest about his intentions, never claiming to be there for the love of the business and never promising that he'd be around all the time. He's said all along it's only really about the money. I'm just disappointed in WWE. So many times you hear how WWE brass is getting their undies in a bundle about not having many legitimate main event stars and how the roster is so thin, yet they don't really allow anyone new into the main event scene and when they do it's only because John Cena or Brock Lesnar weren't around. Well, either that or the guy they pick to be the new it guy is so completely and obviously not ready for that position. Bottom line is that I don't see how re-signing Brock Lesnar (presumably to a very similar or even more lucrative deal than he had before) helps your company grow. He hasn't proven to be a big enough draw to warrant that kind of treatment. Of course, who really knows what the deal is at this point... All he really said was that it was too good to pass up. Maybe he'll be around more. Maybe he'll have some different feuds and storylines that will actually draw interest and bring in more viewers and paying network subscribers. That would be wonderful for WWE and wonderful for WWE fans. But if the Brock Lesnar we get for the next few years is the same one we got the past few years, then I think WWE made a really big mistake. They're kind of gambling a lot on Lesnar. I hope it pays off, but I'm not very optimistic about it. He might not live and breathe the Wrestling Industry, but the simple fact of the matter is he is that damn good wether you like it or not. I mean who elses Contract status is this widely talked about or big time news. He is a valuble asset because he has it all, he genuinely feels like a special attraction now. My only worry is that if he does retain at Wrestlemania, then every further Title Match becomes like Undertaker's Streak, where it's virtually certain he'll retain.
