Has anyone experience any staining from the fabric material shirts and robes on the mattel figures yet ?
I was looking through some of my Jakks figures I've had for years and some of the Jakks made shirts and robes have stained some haven't, some of Ralph's custom shirts and robes have stained and again some haven't.
The mattel figures are obviously made from a different plastic to the Jakks figures and the material will be different too but will this problem still happen over time ?
Is there anything than can be done to prevent the staining or is it just inevitable ?
Thanks

Yes, it has happened especially the longer the figure sat in the package with the clothes on. You need to wash the excess dye out of the clothing as soon as you get it.

Legends series Steamboat and Rick Martel were the only real problems. And a little of elite 9 Zack Ryder....and maybe some elite 15 Yokozunas.
it took me a while to find a steamboat or martel that weren't stained.

I ended up having to put DM Steamboat arms on Legends Steamboat to get rid of the stains.

I usually have issues only with red and black, the worst being Martel, Steamboat, and Yokozuna. I swear none of my t-shirt wearing Cenas have stains, it's like his superhuman strength repels the dye. For clothes from Ralph, my Dr.Death red trunks stained a figure in less than a week. My Jakks Great American Bash Tori is a mess from the Uncle Sam outfit.

I've noticed E13 Rhodes Jacket, E3 Christian jumpsuit , and E15 Yoko robe are some of the worst culprits
I haven't had a staining issue at all with any cloth (what little we get) since yoko though.
For example that big old robe for DM flair had 0 staining issues. So whatever the problem was, they fixed it after elite 15.

My dashing Cody Rhodes has a ridiculous amount of staining. It's very upsetting. Fortunately the recent Cody is basically the same figure.

How do you wash something? Either with soap and water in the sink or do what I did. We had a small socks/delicates bag from when our daughter was a baby that I put all the shirts/robes in and washed in the washing machine with dark clothes like jeans.

It's really a shame that this happens, because I hate most of the rubber clothes. Especially long coats like on RSC exclusive Edge and WM 31 Undertaker.
