Someone seriously needs to get Brian McCann some glasses. Because every time he goes up to bat he looks like he's an 80 year old man trying to read a McDonald's menu. I swear the reason he sucks is because he just flat out can't see right but the Yankees are probably stupid and told him he cant wear glasses on the field because "class" You're probably right. Once he started having the vision problems in Atlanta, he was never the same player again, which is why I was glad we let him go.

Only after he started having vision problems and started losing his all-star form. It's a shame because he was great. But whatever happened to him happened pretty quickly and hard.

Unrelated, but I'm watching "Catching Hell" right now. Anyone else seen this? Worth a watch for any baseball fan.

Probably a top three one they've done. Is it considered a 30 for 30? I've been wondering that. It's two hours long haha. This is the most frustrated I've been in a long time. I hope the fans who threw beer, pizza, etc. have apologized and feel terrible about that. There was literally innings and another game left.

I'm not too sure actually, I think this was right before they started branding their docs "30 For 30" actually. It's a frustrating thing and it didn't help that the Cubs just forgot to keep playing.

Yeah, that's the most irritating thing to me in sports. I had to turn off the Liverpool game after Gerrard got that early red because I knew no matter what the narrative would be using Gerrard as a scapegoat. Same as with "the slip." Frustrating to see groupthink take over.

Carlos Beltran looks like he doesn't want to play baseball anymore. He just looks lazy, disinterested, and like he doesn't want to be out there. In the batters box he just goes up and pops up or grounds out within 2 or 3 pitches, and in the field he just slowly jogs up to balls and flips them in while baserunners take extra bases on his laziness.
He's probably the most useless person on the roster right now.

Red Sox kicked ass today. 4-1 start is good.

If Beltran was playing as good in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS as he is for the Yank right now, the Mets would've been in the World Series that year.

Please have someone teach the Phillies to pull off a good bunt. Ugh, it's gonna be a long year.

to use the word "putrid" would be a compliment for this Yankees team right now how are you gonna put together a team of legit talented baseball players and have them ALL collectively SUCK ASS together at the same time. except Alexander Emmanuel ing Rodriguez....what the bloody hell is going on in the Bronx?

If I was the Yankees, I'd give Tanaka the surgery tomorrow. There is no sense in him wasting this entire year and then probably having to have the surgery at some point anyway.
I'd get rid of Drew and Petit, and call up Refsnyder and hope that he can get better at 2b.
I'd cut Carlos Beltran and bring up Ramon Flores.
John Ryan Murphy can not catch. He cost us Fridays game with that past ball, and he had a few crucial past balls yesterday that caused the game to get out of hand. I want Austin Romine back up.
And I'd get Brian McCann some freakin glasses.
If all of these things happen, maybe the Yankees will be able to compete in 2016. But this year is shot.
And you're probably thinking...but the 1998 Yankees stared out 1-4 and they ended up winning 114 games and coasting to the Title. The current Nationals are 1-4 and they are probably going to run away with the NL East when it's all said and done. The difference is that the current Nations and 98 Yankees at 1-4 are just examples of good teams in a funk and underperforming at that moment in time. The 2015 Yankees at 1-4 are exactly how you would expect a cheaply and illogically put together team to perform.
As usual though. the Yankees bullpen is the one bright spot in an otherwise miserable and unwatchable team.
