I’ve said it before, I’ll say it now, and I’ll say it again and again until it finally happens. I think Daniel Bryan should drop the Intercontinental Championship Title Belt to John Cena…OR…I think the John Cena should drop the United States Championship Title Belt to Daniel Bryan. They should finally unify the Intercontinental and United States Championships Titles and create the United Continental Championship Title (because “Inter-States Championship Title” still doesn’t sound right to me). “United Continental Champion” has that “World Champion” feel to it, but with a touch of “Mid-Card Champion”. I’d even go as far as having the main plate of this new United Continental Championship Title Belt feature Pangaea (or Pangea). I would place the Bella Brothers-In-Law in a Best of 7 series, having matches only on Pay Per View.
Night Of Champions – singles match Hell In A Cell – Hell In A Cell match Survivor Series – The CeNation vs. the Yes Movement in a 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series match TLC (Tables, Ladders, and Chairs) – TLC match Royal Rumble – Cage match Fast Lane – Submission match WrestleMania – singles match with a Bella in each corner This would: keep the women and kids happy having Cena featured on the card keep the men happy keeping Cena at the middle of the card keep the SMarks happy having Bryan featured on the card keep the WWE SuperStars happy keeping Cena and Bryan away from them, and opening spots up on the card keep the Bellas happy that they are featured in a Main Event at WrestleMania keep me happy because I would have a new Championship Title Belt to buy

I know a lot of people around here are in favor of unifying the belts but I'm not one of them. If the writers would be good at utilizing talent and writing them into feuds without a title being involved, then that would be one thing. But since they're not very good at that, I'd prefer to have both titles around and give more people opportunities to get into feuds and especially since top tier guys are now holding both titles.

Unifying the titles is a really bad idea.... less matches and some wrestlers would be buried...

I have to say that I do agree with you as far as the writers not doing a good job. John Cena, without mentioning it, basically changed the WWE United States Championship into the modern day WCW Television Championship. The only thing missing is the 10 or 15 minute time limit. The US Title will always be a step below the IC Title to me. It’s today’s version of the European Championship, no offense to any Europeans, of course. I just think in a time where the United States isn’t what it once was, that it’s time to get rid of the country’s Title in favor of the more “global” Championship, no pun intended. It’s a worldwide company, damn it!! It’s the world leader in Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment. Let’s be politically correct and remove this figurative border known as the United States Championship. Plus I want my Championship Title Belt collection to be all retired Championship Title Belts and technically, the US and Divas are the only ones I have left still technically active and in use, sans the logo change. Unifying the titles is a really bad idea.... less matches and some wrestlers would be buried... It wouldn’t result in fewer matches. It could make the non-Title matches more meaningful by making them number one contenders’ matches, or have a number contenders’ tournament. You win, you move up a step. You lose, you move down a step. In fact, the 7 month period I drew up would actually open up spots for others, and at the same time, keep Cena and Bryan and the Bellas busy with each other.

r u trying to start a mass whine on here. 7 months of "y isnt daniel bryan wwe champion yet?". shudder
and no i dont think they should unify the mid-card titles but i didnt think they should've merged the world titles. plus they call it the wwe world heavyweight title which annoys me because unless im wrong, which has happened before, doesnt wwe stand for world wrestling entertainment? so y have world in the name twice?

I'd retire the U.S. title and stick with the IC making it extremely competitive and a step towards the WWE title. Like the old days.

There is too much talent in WWE to unify the titles. Bad idea. IMO

I prefer the WWE and US titles being showcased on Raw and the Intercontinental title being the focus of SmackDown.
The real conversation needs to be bringing back the Cruiserweight title to SmackDown/Main Event/Superstars to add to the excitement.

This is one of the few instances where I can understand and agree with all sides of this argument…well, except for unifying the mid-card Championships and retiring the Intercontinental Championship Title.

They're finally making an effort to make both belts relevant and now you want them to be unified?

If anything they should bring back the 24/7 Hardcore title, it was always fun and competitive. Title changes can even happen after shows on social media, and we all know how much WWE loves social media.

If they are going to properly use them, then keep em separate. If all this is for nothing and they'll both be misused again, then unify them into the IC champion.

I think they should drop the US title, keep the IC, and bring back either the LHW/cruiserweight title. With all the lighter NXT stars coming up it can be a huge title for the guys first title to work their way up on the main stage.

if anything they should replace the US Title with a Lightheavyweight/Cruiserweight-like title. Or feature the US and WWE Titles on RAW and the IC & Cruiserweight on SD!, TagTitles and DivasTitle can be on both shows.

Agreed and I am also against them merging the mid card belts. I don't see it happening either and if it did happen I would hope they would revive the CW Title.

WCW was fine with two midcard title for a while and when that stopped working they moved the TV title to their Saturday night show. I don't see why WWE couldn't do the same. Worst case scenario they move one title to Main Event.

Bring this back. Please no. Lol. The current title design is really nice and not cheesy like that one.

I'd retire the U.S. title and stick with the IC making it extremely competitive and a step towards the WWE title. Like the old days. This is what I hoped would happen for years, however now that Cena has the US belt and Bryan has the IC, the belts are in the spotlight and both champions have seemingly endless challengers and I actually really like it. The belts seem like they matter and have credible champions, as long as that's the case, 2 mid card belts is fine.
