I've watched quite a few of his matches and interviews in the past few weeks just trying to figure out why this guy is in the position he's in and i just don't see it. Here's the pro's and cons i take away after watching his work.
I'll start with the pros
Pro:
Great athleticism
Good physique
High workrate
Nice array of flashy moves
Had a nice singles program with Ambrose
On to the cons
Cons:
Average charisma and i might be being kind
Mic skills are only decent
horrible voice like really bad
only 6 ft 1 (not my bag as world champion unless your an unbelievable wrestler like Bryan)
No character other than '' the architect of the shield''. He's literally just Seth Rollins. No character, nothing.
Only climbed the singles ladder for the better part of a year.
Obviously all of this is subjective and just my opinions, i'd be surprised if anybody came in here and told me he was highly charismatic and excellent on the stick though. Like how close to a guy like CM Punk who most of us agree was incredible in every aspect of the game would you guys say he is?
I just see this guy being on top as more of a statement on where wrestling is today and the lack of star power right now than anything else. Where would be 15 years ago when the business was stacked with talent?
I'd love to get some feedback on this guy, i'm confused at all the love he gets around here.

So if someone adequately explains it to you, you're going to change your mind right?

You shut your whore mouth about Seth Metal! All joking aside. The guy is a phenomenal in ring talent and has been since his Indy days. His character isn't supposed to ooze charisma. He's the cocky cowardly heel hand picked by the authority to be the future of this company. He's very much randy Orton in evolution to me. He deserves the spot he's in. I just wished they'd stop scripting everyone's promos. Let the guys speak from their hearts and the promos will be much better

Your pros are right. As for your cons
1) He has a fair amount of charisma 2) His mic skills have improved greatly over the year. Went from a weakness to something that he does pretty well at this point. Like when he said he was going to kill Edge anyway or during the contract signing before the Royal Rumble when he actually outperformed John Cena and Paul Heyman in the segment. 3) His voice isn't great but it's perfect for the slimy heel role he's in 4) He more than looks like a world champion and he is indeed an unbelievable wrestler like Daniel Bryan 5) His character is that of the slimy heel I mentioned earlier. He will do whatever it takes to be the top guy in the business, including selling out and cashing in at an opportune moment 6) Yes, but since going solo he has been the best and most consistent performer on the main roster
In conclusion, Seth Rollins is the World Champion and gets love for a very good reason. It's because he's a very good wrestler/performer/entertainer/talent.

So if someone adequately explains it to you, you're going to change your mind right? Sharing opinions is never about changing the other persons opinion imo. Then why do you care? I mean that seriously too. If I like a guy, or don't like a guy in your instance, why do I give a what somebody else thinks about him? What do you gain by understanding my point-of-view? This is a completely subjective opinion because it's a form of art. I could say "Hey, that painting looks like sh*t!" Ten seconds later you could walk by and go "That's the most beautiful painting I've ever seen!" What have you gained from my interpretation of that artwork when neither of us is right or wrong? You say Rollins is small. I say he's the same size as Bret and HBK. You say he's an alright little worker. I say he's the best worker on the roster. His voice bothers you. It doesn't bother me at all. (Which is quite easily the dumbest ing comment I've heard from any of his detractors) You say he has no charisma. I say he has mounds of it. You say his mic skills are decent. I'd give him slightly above average marks based on the fact he cuts promos every single week and seems to do a bang up job of it. You say he has no character. I know for a fact Seth Rollins on Raw isn't the real life Seth Rollins. So yes, he's playing a villainous, un-loyal, backstabbing, win at all costs, character. You say he's only been climbing the singles ladder for a year. I say he's been climbing it since 2009. Don't like the WWE Champion? Get a DVR and fast forward through his parts on Raw.

Your first paragraph is really negative imo, your opinions are interesting to me regardless of what mine are. I'm one dude, with one perception, it's nice to hear others. My own opinion is hardly the gospel to me. His voice being bad isn't dumb either, it's true. It's ing awful, i've had several people tell me the same thing without offering it up myself.

You can't just "watch a few of his matches on YouTube In a day and understand why he has been given the ball.
For months now every single week in the raw thread as I watch the show progress I constantly would praise rollins as he would seemingly get better by the week. He literally improved each time I saw him. He deserved it more than any over baby face in the company right now. T
This was honestly one of the most organic pushes I've ever seen. Nothing was forced, And it feels 100% right.

Can someone explain why we call him Seth Metal?
Also, he's a snake in the grass. That's his character. Instead of being the Ultimate Opportunist, he is the Ultimate Double Crosser. He crossed Heyman and Lesnar, crossed the Shield, and crossed Randy Orton just to get ahead. That's some Snidely Whiplash evilness.

Well then, Vickie Guerrero heat is still heat. So Rollins is doing his job if it bothers you.

All this time I thought it was because of his tights having a metal like sheen to it. I figured that couldn't be the reason. I'm glad this somewhat makes sense

Because he's Triple H's boy -- but even with that, he's still been the MVP of Raw for most of the last year. Phenomenal talent. Pretty much the only main event full-time heel they've got.
