On the topic of overdoing it..seemingly everyone now has the superkick in their arsenal. That's because everyone wants to be like the Young Bucks. #Superkickparty

I'm not the biggest fan of it due to it looking like crap at times, but also because the Stunner is so linked to Austin in the WWE territory that it's weird seeing other people do it.
The Over the Shoulder Bolder move Ryback used to use was pretty sick though.

I enjoy it. My favorite move that he does.

My issue is the announcers, all of them, put it over likes its so amazing. Its nice. Dont get me wrong, but Neville has been WAY more innovative than Cena recently. And yet the announcers are just like....oh look at that. No matter how hard they force feed it.....its still not gonna be any more impressive than it is. Its a nice move. Nice that Cena added something new, but lets not act like its the most amazing thing in the world. I swear Neville is not from this planet. His moves are sick!!! My favorite wrestler in pro wrestling right now.

I have no idea why somebody would choose to start doing that move every night at age 40. Taking that bump can't be doing his back any favors. Looks cool nonetheless.

I like it. I think it's pretty impressive for a guy his size. Reminds me of when he started using the fame-asser from the top. Also, an awesome move. He just needs to get rid of the awful punch, duck, spinout power bomb, 5 knuck sequence. this, every word of it. if he didn't use that same sequence every match i would actually say i love cena. he's not bad at all, just needs to change it up. the springboard stunner is dope.

I like it. Glad he's mixing things up a bit. I've liked Cena for quite a while now.

I don't think John Cena is a bad wrestler so let me get that out of the way first. I think the move is a cool idea in theory and kudos to him for trying something new. My issue with it, is that it looks like poop. That's actually my biggest in ring problem with Cena. A lot of his moves don't look crisp. As a guy who grew up loving Bret Hart, I like seeing moves that are executed to look fantastic. Maybe it's Cena's body type but a lot of things look ugly and the stunner is one of them, much like his putrid hurricanrana attempts. The guy can work a really good match but some of his stuff looks bad and the stunner is one of them. I'm sure this will be read as "Cena sucks, it's stupid that he adds a move but it's also stupid if he only had 5 moves of doom". Agreed... Cena seems to be capable of having dramatic matches but his execution of even the most elementary moves is at once amateurish, sloppy and dainty. Like I just don't buy him as a wrestler because there isn't a single part of his repertoire that ever allows me to suspend disbelief and imagine him in the heat of actual athletic competition.

On the topic of overdoing it..seemingly everyone now has the superkick in their arsenal. The "thigh slap superkick to the midsection" is what the knife-edge chop was in 2003... like every god damn wrestler started doing them. The superkick was cool back when just HBK was doing it, because he was usually good at concealing the thigh slap. But now the Usos both spend half their time on offense doing weak looking superkicks and Dolph Ziggler might as well do the huge Hulk Hogan windmill punch windup when he does it... really annoying.

I can only think it's a lure to plant the seeds for a Match with Austin at Wrestlemania.

If it means he'll stop doing that weird submission where he locks his hands around the opponents face but applies no pressure at all, then I'm all for it.

Why couldn't Cena actually maybe get a win with it; freshen up his routine and shock some people - regardless of what the thoughts would be it would give some legitimacy to the move instead of just something he's adding to his repertoire just to add it...that way if someone kicks out of it down the line it could be a big deal... ...or maybe not, seeing as finisher kickouts are commonplace these days, especially in Cena's matches...

Honestly, I have never seen someone do a move so often that they do so poorly. Like, the Rock has a piss poor Sharpshooter but didn't do it nearly as often as Cena did the STF. I even feel ashamed calling it an STF.

Just like when Jericho and Edge tried telling him that killing off the Nexus single handedly was a bad idea.

Yeah his STF is embarrassing...just a sad dry hump and nobody looking at it can tell me it should hurt. I really hated how hard The Rock sold it in their mania match...just made it worse. Amazing to me that nobody he works with bothers to correct him on it. Props to him for adding some new stuff though lol. It's funny to me that he can mail it in and get away with it like he does, he's so predictable that ANY amount of extra effort gets noticed.

If Cena did 5 moves and they all looked crisp and good then I'd have no issue with it at all.
The problem is that he has 5 or 6 moves and they all look like liquid lava dog sh*t.

I guess if he won't listen to Austin he won't listen to anybody.
