I'm not ready to believe this just yet. He did just get busted open the other week. Maybe they just gave him a lighter load for a week to avoid reopening that wound.
Also, I must be watching different Daniel Bryan matches than some others, because he's looked exactly the same in the ring to me as he did before he left with the injury.

Honestly if Bryan cut two moves out of his set I think he would be fine. The diving Head butt. Proven to be a very very risky move, harely race regrets ever inventing it in the first place! The God damn corned drop kick that lands him on his neck every single time. The suicide dive I think he could keep, because he always used his arms/elbow to push the guy away. I think there's minimal neck impact on that one. I hope Bryan can recover. He Probably should take the Shawn route, take a few years off be a guest ref/announcer whatever just get to 100% and enjoy another 8 years in the ring

This doesn't surprise me at all. Within like a week of coming back, he was letting Luke Harper lawn dart him into a turnbuckle and German suplex him on his neck. And he hasn't changed his style at all as far as I can tell. If you do what you've always done then you'll get what you've always gotten. This probably won't end well.

Ugh. If this is true, let him drop it to someone, and let him take AS MUCH TIME OF AS HE NEEDS. Even if it's 1, 2, 3 years, it doesn't matter, make sure he's in great condition, have him come back and try out some matches, and if they think he's ok enough, have him get the title he never lost back.

If this is true, I would have him come out to the biggest pop ever, like in his hometown or whatever.
Then I'd have the "Authority" come out and be like, sorry bro, you can't wrestle no more. You're hurt.
Then have Bryan be like, no way man. I wanna wrestle hard, for my fans.
Then have Tripps be like, nope. Your an investment. The WWE protects its investments. You're on commentary.
Then I'd have him be on commentary till he's all better.

He's probably fine, it's just his career that isn't in good shape.

Yeah, I don't believe this is entirely true. They wouldn't have put him in the ladder match if so, and booked to win the belt. Nor would they have thrown him against Sheamus is his FIRST match back in months. Sheamus is already a known stiff worker, so I don't see why they would throw him in there while Sheamus may have a bit if rust on him..

I think sometimes dirt sheets run stories just to keep eyeballs on computer screens.

I can believe it; but hope he gets the time to heal up as best he can.

He should sign for TNA and start doing moonsaults off the top of cages.

Oh man, Ambrose has been wrestling in like 2-5 minute matches as of late. I think he's in bad shape, it's the only explanation as to why this could be happening

Hope he rests for a while...still such a young man.
Shocked with the Meltzer hate. He is the first, and best insider news guy that wrestling has. He worked his tail off, often putting himself in compromising positions, for us...wrestling fans. I subscribed to his zine in the 80's....years and years before BBS boards and modern internet writing. He opened the doors, and shed light on other wrestling styles. Helped countless guys, like the Harts, all cruiserweights, lucha, and Japanese imports. He helped wrestlers protect themselves financially against promoters by giving them the straight up info. He is ballsy enough, and respected enough that workers would wait on bated breath for his opinion on their matches. He helped guys like Greg Oliver and Hornbreaker write the amazing wrestling history books that they do. Never malicious...ever...a true entrepreneur....unfortunately, he gets a hard time from folks if he has a different opinion than they do...when he is a true expert.

If it's true, I'm not surprised. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. I've said many times before if he returned, he would have to tone down his moveset a bit to protect his neck. I've always thought he should have stopped doing at least the diving headbutt, a move that's been known to cause spinal and neck problems. If HE'S the one who truly did not want to tone it down a bit, even on WWE management's request, I'm not shocked to hear he's having problems again. However, this news could be basic dirt sheet bullcrap cause if he was in as bad shape as it says, they wouldn't have out him in a Ladder match. Maybe his problems started happening after Mania? IDK, I just hope this doesn't led to him being forced to retire because he wouldn't get the surgery he needed and his neck is in too much bad shape to take a bump without risking being paralyzed.

I've noticed a difference in him and I don't even watch every week. I think that's why he is in the mid card is to try and work through this rough spot. If he can't though there is no shame in walking away. I know it's hard but he has saved his money so he should be alright to heal up until he can get a civilian job.

Since he has been back, he has been doing the same moves, but safer, IMO. The corner dropkick, he is grabbing the top rope, so he doesn't land on his neck as hard, if at all. His suicide dive, he isn't going as quickly and isn't ramming himself into the barricade, just his opponent. I've not seen all his matches since he came back, but I don't recall him doing the diving headbutt since? I wouldn't be surprised if the reason he has been in tag matches is so he can heal his head wound from his match with Sheamus.
