Daniel needs to take time off and heal like Shawn Michaels in 1998.

Why are people saying he needs to retire? He is just injured, Not crippled. He is still wrestling, Obviously he isn't all that hurt. They rushed him back too fast. If they weren't planning on him winning the Rumble, They should have just let him fully heal instead of coming back getting thrown around on his head and neck. Its like when Austin had his neck injured. He never bumped on it after that.

He was rushed back unnecessarily, and he's paying the price now. It's only downhill from here now, it's just about how much WWE invests into his feuds now.

I am really sad that he is in such bad shape.
I think they will have to have Sheamus beat him for the IC Title (maybe the Raw after Extreme Rules?) so he can have some more time off. I mean how is he supposed to be a good IC Champion if all he can do is work 6 man tag matches?

I don't know man, judging from only about 15 years of watching wrestling closely, I think this may be a case where his body figure and condition probably don't match the style Bryan wants to do. And I'm sure a lot of it is because he's not a steroid user, which is a good thing. When you look at Angle, Guerrero, or Mysterio, they all juiced up in their primes. Then you look at Punk and Bryan, and you can see that they're beat up... The last part I disagree with completely. Eddie Guerrero looked beat up by 2004. I can see it in his face. By 2002, I could tell Kurt Angle looked beat up. Fast forward to 2006, he looked much worse then he did four years earlier. As for Rey Mysterio, the schedule the WWE had him on made his body looked much bigger. Many guys over time looked different when they first came in. From looking at his recent UFC promo shots, I can see CM Punk looking refreshed in his face. He doesn't have to worry about beating up his body week-after-week. Punk looks a lot heather now than he did in 2013. As far as Daniel Bryan is concerned, his mentality is doing to be his biggest detriment. A guy his size should be protecting his body. Steroids or not, the human body can only take so much punishment. People go through health issues no matter what. I'd say it was probably the steroids that made his body look bigger.

And yet the ers let him compete in a ladder match. I hope Bryan takes some time off and get any and all health issues corrected. I'd hate for him to have his career cut short because he was too stubborn to take an appropriate amount of time off.

Think he'll be finished soon. Talented worker but he's going to end up crippled sooner or later.

Its like when Austin had his neck injured. He never bumped on it after that. That's the difference between Austin and Bryan. Austin got hurt, changed his style and got a couple more years out of it. Bryan got hurt, rushed back and stubbornly kept working the same style even when management told him to stop. Hopefully he'll be able to come back and they'll have serious talks about what he can and can't do.

Daniel Bryan Update
Bryan, who was sent home for precautionary reasons from the European tour, is scheduled to get his injuries checked up when he returns home. It was also reported that the original plan for this past RAW was to have Bryan face John Cena, which was switched to Cena vs. Barrett instead. It is still unclear whether or not Bryan will be able to wrestle at the "Extreme Rules" show.

Bryan Alvarez was claiming on Observer Radio that he was told Bryan suffered a concussion in the stiff SD match with Sheamus, and that's why they've been protecting him.
Take it for what it's worth.

And people wonder why he wasn't in the main event at Wrestlemania 31... Yeah because the main event would have been so much worse for him than - you know - a freaking ladder match.. He barely did anything in the ladder match until climbing the ladder for the title. Everyone else carried that match.

So is his neck the issue? Or the concussion? I watched that match he had with Sheamus and Sheamus was going a bit out of hand, a little too rough. So hopefully the dirt sheets exaggerated the extent of his injury.

Just read this on WrestleZone:
So much for his neck injury having anything to do with WrestleMania.

I hope Daniel Bryan retires.
He's my favourite wrestler on the Main Roster today, but I'd rather him keep his health for life instead of attempting to please the audiences by continuing to wrestle the style in which he does. He's been a great employee for WWE and an even better technical wrestler, but his injuries require him to alter his moveset which I don't see him doing.

If you were do actually watch the match you would see that Sheamus was stiff as hell and treating Bryan like a rag doll. I highly doubt it was caused by a headbutt.
