forget the showcase mode and the era mode (30 years, attitude) and make the universe the prime thing on wwe 2k16!!!
i love the universe mode and i buy the game only because of him, but i miss a lot of things in it (interviews, more realistic, openings and and and).
why cancel all showcase and era modes and make universe incredible. i wish a long time a wcw mode like the attitude one, but why they dont gave us all wcw wrestler and no mode, but with the universe we can create wcw. put wcw storylines to the story collections, gave us all important arenas and belts.
they also can make the same with golden era, new gen, monday night wars or ecw.

I think there are improvements to be made for Universe mode for sure.
However, the thought of a WCW mode sounds awful to me.

What is the deal with this WCW mode stuff?
Do. Not. Want.
That place closed down 14 years ago because it sucked.
Give us an NXT mode.

WCW mode would be worse. The NXT mode in last gen was poop. The Career Mode in current gen has loads of potential if it is done right.

We just had an NXT mode and it was the worst thing ever. Don't know anything about it. My game didn't have that mode. It was a PS3/X360 exclusive titled "Who Got NXT". All it was was a series of 3 or 4 matches each for the NXT guys (Neville, Dallas, Graves, Zayn, Rusev).

The Kevstaaa @bashcrashwiley Whatever mode where you started in NXT and moved up was hideous. Agreed, but that's not because it had NXT in it. It's because it was poorly executed. All sports games seem to have this mode and they usually start out rough the first time around and get improved yearly. The concept of creating a wrestler, starting from the bottom and working your way through an actual WWE career is brilliant. Instead of so many "tune up" matches and nonsense like that, it should be more realistic. Add in contract negotiations, the option to start in a tag team, the option to compete for mid-card titles, more actual storylines, vignettes for your debuting characters, etc. There is a plethora of options available from this mode that could make it excellent if they work at it. I'm sorry but I prefer a full on career mode done right over anything related to any nonsense mode about yesteryear.

The Relive/Rewrite/Redefine mode in LOWM had potential, but the gameplay was so ass it ruined it. I don't play these games for the stories, the stories are just something you have to breeze through to unlock everything. I'd rather they leave any kind of story mode because they're always ass.

I see where you're coming from since they haven't been good. 2K has a good history with it though as their NBA 2K MyPlayer career mode gets rave reviews. I thought 30 Years of WrestleMania was solid but I have no interest in playing old school stuff that I already know the outcome of.

I just want them to go back to the Old Days when you would just take a superstar or diva and wrestle until WM or Something.Like how teddy long got ran over by a car,Divas winning WWE titles,All that ratchet stuff you knew will never happen on tv it was stupid but fun to me.I don't want to start at the bottom and work my way to the top again because I feel like that story has been done so many times.
I just wanna take a superstar say roman reigns and just play a bunch storylines, form alliances, fight for any belt I want, select a manager all that good stuff sorta like Smackdown here comes the pain.
Universe mode just isn't working for me I just dont feel like I have no control.I want to create everything,I want to create the full match card each show not just the computer automatically Doing it for me.GM Mode was PERFECT that was exactly what I wanted I want That Back so bad.
Just give me a good story mode mixed with GM mode and a great roster and I'm all set.

Agreed, I loathe that the game automatically makes matches for you in Universe mode, especially the rivalry matches. I know you can change them, but the rivalry matches still sim as though you didn't. I want full control of everything in universe mode and that's the main thing that's been missing for years.

I could do without showcase modes. I would rather they just give us a bunch of legends (like everyone who's been in the last 3 or 4 titles) and arenas and let us cusomized our universe the way we want it.
Still to this day my favorite wrestling game is "Legends of Wrestling" just because of who was in it. That game had Sting, Piper, Hitman, Road Warriors, the Steiners, Bulldogs, Muraco, Orndorff just to name a few of my favorites that you could use. I mean many of these guys (at least the first 4 have been in past editions 2013-2015)

I do think that starting from the bottom has been done a bunch but never to the extent that 2K can do it. To have it like NBA 2K's MyPlayer mode along with NXT, if done right, could be great so I'd keep MyCareer in. I'd totally get rid of Showcase and do those fun storyline modes you mention. I miss those days. Walking around backstage finding people to talk to, ridiculous storylines, etc. And yes, I loved GM mode.
