Is anyone else thinking this is a total waste of a good spot? With one flashback in the line it seems like a poor choice, rey mysterio was a more popular choice for a wcw flashback, he warmed bad over here, even now they go for under £10. Typhoon seems to be a good choice, or evil crush, repo man, gonzalez, jannetty (blue attire) any hbk, any macho man,any hogan, bret hart, kona crush, warlord, the list is endless. Doesnt make any sence to me. Whats your thoughts? No, i would not want someone else. Collectors on this board have been asking about for two years now and they are getting what they want. As long as a figure is wanted, they will make and sell it because it means money. Also, this is probably the only logical choice to come with the Light Heavyweight Championship. EDIT: Plus, the picture we saw of him is probably a prototype. They will most likely show the final one at SDCC.

Dean Malenko is awesome. I can't wait to get his figure. We will never get a full Radicalz set though.

Mattel can't please everybody all the time. That's the moral to take away. Some people are happy with Malenko, some are not. Until it actually comes out we will not know if it was a good business decision or not.
I am really surprised this topic continued so long. Even without all the fighting that could have seriously gotten this thread locked.
This reminds me of WWE's John Cena logic: if one half the crowd cheers him and the other half boos him then 100% of the people are at least invested in the match rather than the half that are generally indifferent to anything placed in front of them.

I won't be getting Malenko, but I don't think he's a wasted spot. He was an integral part of WCW's cruiserweight division and helped in the evolution of Jericho's career.
In fact, I don't think anyone is really a wasted space. Just because you don't want a certain figure doesn't mean there aren't a whole lot of others who will. Mattel has to cater to every type of fan with this line, and I think they're doing a great job of it.

My point at the very start of this thread was to highlight the relevance of this figure, or lack of. Alot of good points, but people are saying things like he was a huge part of jerichos career - yes he was, but we dont even have a chris jericho flashback yet!! This is my point.
Mattel are slowly making any popular flashbacks into either hall of fame (yeah thanks mattel, great news for us in the uk) or defining moments, thus raising the price even higher ( what made razor a defining moment?)
Either way, with vader, mysterio, malenko, wcw macho all as flashbacks over 8 sets, its a little frustrating for those of us who watched WWE in the early days, after all, its a wwe line!
