Safe to assume this is sort of an "official" Fallout thread... Anybody else collecting the POP vinyls? I've got 5/7 now, just missing Brotherhood of Steel & Vault Boy. I think the Deathclaw is one of my favorite toys I own. Gonna get BoS soldier, Vault Boy & Male Lone Wanderer. You guys seen the Legacy figures? They are Lone Wanderer and BoS soldier. Pics on spamS.

Ive been going ham on fallout merchandise as of lately. I have all the pop figures (including the glow in the dark one), I've got the monopoly on its way, I've got all but 3 of the mystery minis, oh and I just recently got a crossover Ghostbusters/fallout tattoo. To say I'm hyped is an understatement

I've got the POP vinyls and I bought two mystery minis... I got Lone Wanderer and Grim Reaper's Sprint. I wanna get some more... particularly I want the female Lone Wanderer because I always play as a female and also the Deathclaw.
I also want them to make a stuffed animal Deathclaw. I want to support this line big time so they make a New Vegas wave and then hopefully down the line an F4 one as well.

I've been thinking about this recently: so you design both the male and female characters, that also dictates what their child/baby looks like. You all get to the vault at the end of the prologue and then only one character emerges as the Lone Survivor. What is the purpose of designing both male and female characters (and in turn the child) if only one character emerges from the vault? Logic dictates that the husband/child are out there somewhere, and I'd venture to guess that's a major plot point of the game.

Also, I must say that I've been a fan of your avatar for months now. . . geez

Can someone confirm that if you preorder a hard copy of the game you'll receive FO3 for Xbox1/PS4?

So, I've preordered it for PS4, along with the deluxe strategy guide (hard cover additional concept art pages, etc.), and the DLC pass.
My birthday is veterans day (11/11); I will be taking my birthday off from work to play FO4 all day!
Bethesda seems to launch all their MAJOR games in and around this time; FO4 11/10, Skyrim 11/11/11, and my favorite game of all-time FO3! FO# was my first time playing a Bethesda game. My wife got me a game for my birthday (an alien invasion FPS) that I HATED, I returned it for a military based game that I also hated, before taking a chance on FO3 (despite the fact that I distinctly remember not liking the cover (don't judge a book by it's cover for sure!), I've sworn by their stuff ever since!
Adding to my love for Bethesda games is the fact that my wife actually likes watching me play them for short periods of time. She enjoyed to post-apocalyptic world of FO3, enjoyed watching me get killed by dragons in Skyrim (she would laugh at me), and now she gets to watch me roam Boston, which we actually just recently visited and fell in love with!
In summary, as you can tell, I'm very excited for this game!

The hardcover guide is under $25 on amazon today. Not sure if it will last long. I already pre-ordered at GameStop a month ago, but cool for anyone on the fence.

So based on this video:
It looks like you have 32 SPECIAL points to allocate.
How are you guys thinking of allocating? I always max out intelligence.
S - 1 P - 1 E - 1 C - 9 I - 10 A - 1 L - 9
That's kinda rough, still not sure if I'll go that route, but I figure if I do that I'll have the beginning of a great non-violent character. The only issue would be my inability to lockpick.

Hopefully its something like for each level you go up you get a SPECIAL point as well as a perk and skill points or that's just too few IMO

One theory goes that all vault dwellers of 111 were released into the waste at differing time intervals, you just happened to be the absolute last one let out. So perhaps your son was taken out of stasis a few decades before you, is now in his 30's/40's and is now the main antagonist of the game.
