Saw Mad Max again today, 3 times now, bloody brilliant. And confirmed the next installment will be named MAD MAX: WASTELAND CANNOT WAIT! revealed that the follow-up to Mad Max: Fury Road will be titled Mad Max: The Wasteland. “We’ve got one screenplay and a novella. It happened because with the delays [on Fury Road], and writing all the backstories, they just expanded,” Miller said while explaining how he ended up with a fully mapped out Mad Max trilogy before the first film released, on The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith. The title is interesting because The Wasteland is the name of the world in which the Mad Max films take place. What that means for the plot remains to be seen. Mad Max: Fury Road is now playing in theaters. comicbook.com/2015/05/18/mad-max-fury-road-sequel-will-be-titled-mad-max-the-wasteland/Wasteland is a great name.....nice one. I hear WB are happy with the box office too which is great for Max!!

So you dislike strong female characters then? And movies like pitch perfect 2 which are centered on women? Did Charlize Theron being the main character make any difference in the amazingness of the film or plot? This just reeks of blind sexism. I didn't get any sexism out of that post. I just felt like he wished the character development was focused more on Max than on the girl driving the truck. Bingo. I liked Furiosa and her development but just would of liked more Max. Its simple really.

Did Charlize Theron being the main character make any difference in the amazingness of the film or plot? This just reeks of blind sexism. well well....where to start. Ignorance on the level you have just perpetrated shouldn't really be acknowledged or paid any attention to BUT there is NO WAY your gonna call me a sexist(something I feel strongly about) and get away with it. Tell me "where oh where ENLIGHTENED one" did you see me say I didn't like Theron's character? I said the movie was about her character which wasn't a complaint-it surprised me. I didn't like that max was sidelined for the length that he was. And before you get your panties all tightened up or burn your bra I really enjoyed Theron(one of my all time fave actresses) in this movie. Furiosa was a nicely written & original character. The plot was fine IMO.....I said Miller could have used Max more effectively. Now to your next bout of typing rubbish. Where do you get the notion that I dislike all strong female characters? If you knew me like most of the lads here do you would know Aliens is possibly my favourite movie because of Ripley. Black Widow has been a perennial fave of mine in the MCU and I love the movie Haywire because of Gina Carano's character. now don't get excited.......These are only a few examples of my love for "strong females" in the movies. So you will have to explain that particular point to me. I dont expect much though because you haven't a leg to stand on. lastly.....Pitch Perfect 2.....I hated the first one because I hate MUSICALS not WOMEN.....I expect more of the same sh*te from the 2nd one. In short? be a good chap and think before you type. Sorry man, didn't mean to throw around accusations to that level. Just sick of people criticizing things because the dude isn't the strongest character. I retract my statement, just influenced by the general negativity going on from MRA fanboys toward MM:FR.

I'm planning on going again sometime this week. I couldn't stop smiling at the vehicular carnage. This movies' greatest strength is what the minimalist dialogue implies. There is so little dialogue spoken by any of the characters and yet it all points at their psyches, or the world they live in.

Saw it with my girl tonight and it was awesome! The chicks were badass and Tom Hardy delivered a stellar performance. So much action.

Saw it tonight. Awesome movie! So much action. Where does it fall in the timeline? I would have said after the Road Warrior/before Thunderdome.....Max is visibly older in Thunderdome

I accidentally saw it in 3-D. Blew my damn mind! Had no idea Zoe Kravitz was in it. She is damn adorable!
I was hoping for more of a back story with Max's family. I guess we'll get that with the sequel. I really dug the vehicles. I'm kind of hoping they make some figures or playsets from it.
The only character I didn't like was the guy in the red one piece underwear playing the guitar.

To all those people saying they thought they wanted more Max, Mad Max 2 AKA The Road Warrior didn't really have Max as the main character exactly, he was just at the events that took place. He barely has any dialogue & I'd personally say the main characters were the people at the Gas station.
I'm thinking about seeing this, though I'm not going to get my hopes too high as it looks almost like a remake of to Mad Max 2 (and I'm not a big fan of remakes), though I'll keep an open mind.

I guess I'm the only one who thought the movie was horrible and me and my girl couldn't stop making fun of it.
There was really good action and visually it was cool. But Mad Max didn't even have to be in it, he was that lame.
I needed more to drink during the show but I'm glad others loved it.

I'd also like to comment on how good the special effects were on Furiosa's arm. It was nearly impossibly to tell it wasn't really partially missing.

I thought it was good but I feel it could have been way better. There were no real motivations for the viewer to care about any of the characters in the movie. There just wasnt a reason to get behind them at all.
hopefully the next flim changes that, but it has mindblowing visuals and heart stopping action scenes. Just an almost non existant plot

Saw it last night. Overhyped and fairly mediocre. Great "shot of adrenaline" action movie, but -- far from being the masterpiece people are crediting it as.
